What a fantastic video for so many reasons:

1) Tom Zenk in white trunks

2) Tom taking the brunt of the punishment

3) Double-teaming a jobber

4) Piledriver on cement...with added downward force by a heel holding Zenk's ankles.

5) Zenk quivering on the floor

6) Zenk getting counted out. LOL Love the ref for doing this.

7) Tom takes one for the team and loses the match for him and his partner,

Henning sure paid some up-and-comer dues in this match.

Count the future AWA champs in this clip. Bock still had one reign to go, along with Hennig and Zbyszko. And Zbyszko finished Zenk off in the battle royal where he won it.

Good point. Add to that the fact that a by then heel Hennig defeated a by then face Bockwinkel to win the belt with outside help from none other then Larry Zbyszko.

Zenk almost always seemed relegated to the "face-in-peril" role, something he was pretty good at! I remember buying into his "injury" since it looked like he was legitimately hurt.

Greg Gagne, in a case of professional jealousy, actually booked this match as such because Zenk was gaining too much popularity.
