I used to buy wines at Peju when it was a small barn and reserve Cabernet was $15.00 a bottle. Those were great times.

Yes wine has gone up there considerably. My wife and I visited there in May 2007 and paid $50 for a bottle of their Cabernet. We are planning a trip back there in November. I grew up in Napa but left when I was 19. But we are fortunate enough to live in Santa Barbara County in another great wine region.

Yes, they have and these days 50 dollar bottle od Napa Cab is cheap as many of the reserve wines there are 100 $ or more. I have visited Santa Barbara couple of times and like the Pinot Noir wines from that region.

Im glad you enjoyed the Pinot Noir from our area down here. I think each of the areas, Napa Valley, and Santa Barbara County, each have their great wines. The Pinot Noir that comes from the Santa Rita Hills (the area between Lompoc and Buellton) produce some great ones. Also, let me give my pitch for some small wineries in my town of Lompoc (got to support the home town lol). Look up the Lompoc wine getto on the net. Some great wines that are produces in small wineries in town. Cheers!
