They so did man, their new stuff has included elements of metalcore, mainly the clean singing, while their older stuff is more melodic death metal orientated with harmonising guitars and deep guttural vocals along with acoustic passages which is the trademark of the original Gothenburg sound. So really, i can't see how they didn't sell out

@phibzy thx for teaching me the difference between metalcore and melodic death metal. that was needless. i know. do we have a different understanding of the verb to sell-out? i think so. i´d agree that they sold out if they had changed from metal to pop music or so. i admit that i had problems to stick to them after clayman but today i am very happy that i did. i mean not showing any development like ac/dc e.g. makes me losing interest.

To me they did sell out, but yeah i agree with you that it would've got boring if they didn't change in some way, but I just didn't like the fact that they completely changed their style. I was hoping that they would add a few new elements such as the use of keyboards more predominately and maybe some clean singing, but what happened was they ditched the deep death growls for a different type of scream and became extremely dependant on the clean singing, but hey, a band can do whatever they want

Indeed there is. It's the way the Gb to Db (during the main phrase of the chorus) is accentuated in this cover.

For those who asked why he changed keys. Well I think mainly because in this piece theres a lot of repeating and if u change keys it makes the music piece a little bit more interesting to listen. Changing keys is smart thinking.
