What a beauty! I have seen a few of these in Northern Michigan, even with sub-severe storms that were still pretty well organized, just had that perfect outflow/inflow rate, with strong lapse rates and CAPE feeding the storm, but not quite enough to be severe, despite their longevity.
@2010UchihaSasuke It was a short line segment, which nearly stalled as it arrived at our location, and continued to move very slowly allowing lots of folks to see this beautiful sight :)
Simply magnificent multi level shelf cloud, I have no words to explain how much I like to see such amazing and incredible beautiful storm cloud structures. I am from Bucharest, Romania and I saw several times some cloud structure like this one, but but much weak than this. Although I like very much severe thunderstorms, I can't go for stormchasing.
As good as the video was of that shelf,it still couldn't do it enough justice.I was standing in a parking lot in Muncie and all I could see was shelf cloud stretched across the sky.It was truly a beautiful sight.
That is awesome!!! We don't get storms like that in canada I wish we did cause I'm truly addicted to storms!!! and thanks for that video It was amazing
@tammy2775 A shelf cloud is a cloud formation common along the leading edge of lines or supercells, where the inflow winds meet the winds coming out of the core, creating a shelf-like appearance. It is often, but not always, a sign that the storm will be severe.

I believe the storm associated with this shelf cloud is either a derecho or a squall line...

hey guys, I missed out on this one, was stuck in evansville for the last 2 days, guessing we've had some intresting storms popup.
also quick question I thought they was using the w9win repeater for nets too? I cant seem to hit the 146,835 anymore so not sure what is up with that.
