  • Rubio 2016!!!

  • Did someone REALLY say, "So according to you, you can put whatever kind of light bulb in your house you want eh? All wrong dummy"

THAT kind of thinking is what's taking this Country OUT. FREEDOM is on it's way to EXTINCTION .. Marco Rubio points out the obvious. STUPIDITY is rampant.

  • I agree with Rubio but I'm not digging the ad hominem attacks going around here aimed at liberals. Sure they're wrong, but that doesn't make them bad people.

  • ......."compromise with us"......that's the statist stance.....but it the compromise is just the excuse that the elect will use to continue down the path of fiscal irrationalism..this impass is ironically what the republic is all about...and it is a test of very nature of a republic where we are brought back to the original arguments over and over again.....whether the size of government is inherently limited and the yard stick to which this should be measured is the constitution

  • My dream: Rubio-Christie 2016!

  • I appreciate that Marco Rubio can put a sentence together. But just remember that the vote that he made and advocated for in this speech led to the downgrading on US treasuries, and a huge drop in the stock market. It started a wave of lack of confidence in global economics, which has exacerbated problems in Greece and Italy. Moreover, by being refusing to give an inch, it has made Congress completely ineffectual in dealing with problems.

  • the fact that michele bachmann and sarah palin are the voices of the party and not Marco Rubio is a shame.

Marco Rubio is coherent and intelligent, sticks by his principles and is willing to compromise to help the nation because that is what he stands for above all.

    Christie / Rubio 2016

  • He must have a hell of a memory to be able to speak so fluently and confidently, apparently without notes. Even the gesticulation seems perfectly coordinated.

  • It would take a lot for me to vote for a republican again. But..... he is impressive. Worth looking into.

  • Love this man. Marco - we need you at the helm!

  • we need to get this guy to start campaigning

  • what a boss

  • love this dude.

  • I haven't been so satisfied with a politician I voted for in a very, long time.

  • @wogdoggy So you're part of the problem. Both the GOP and the Democrats are fu-king us both as we speak, and you're just another batsh-t crazy GOPer. Wake up sucker.

  • The budget and the debt limit are two different issues that need to be tackled "SEPARATELY". Why are the Republicans "LUMPING" the two together if not for political reasons which have hurt the USA credit ratings...

  • That is what our country needs. Plain spoken logical debating with a backbone. Rubio has my vote.

  • Reagonomics Trickle Down? Silent masturbation.

  • Mere Republican bla bla bla pointless points. Obama proposed a $4 Trillion cut plan along with tax break retirements .... but the Republicans put on those old tired wornout horse blinders and STILL say Obama has no plan. Bull$hit! What a bunch of crocks of steaming hot you know what.

  • @jerryballew37 sorry jear..obama has nothing..2 yaers of the house and the senate and no budget..know why ? Bet you dont jear..cause you are an idiot who votes. No balls to put a budget on the table,.,,why lose the popularity..its easier to blame the republicans that stand up..his priorty was to socialize america..you know what the grand prize is to socialism JERRY? SOCIALIZED MEDICINE..see the simmilarities JERRY? You must be another fine product of liberal academia.

  • sounds like someone we need in the whitehouse to replace the dumb shit in there now

  • FUCK REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS....they are all fucking you in the asses...WAKE THE FUCK UP...the only thing you can do...is navigate and weave through their policies...as it changes from one bill of bullshit to the next...

  • @Earthfart Your right! They have shifted over more towards the center.

  • @Earthfart No it isn't.

  • A Romney/Rubio ticket would be ideal. I love how he nails that tax cheating gigolo....John Kerry.

  • @Mobee211 Romney? I don't think so. I can't bring myself to vote for someone who has magic underpants.

  • @stoicsquirrel So then you must loathe Harry Reid too right? Why are you not lobbying to get him kicked out of office? He also wears "magical underpants."

  • @Mobee211 You're right. I DO hate Reid. I'm not "lobbying" to get ANYBODY kicked out of office. I just wouldn't want Romney as president. I WOULD, however, go for a Paul/Rubio ticket. What? Did you assume I'm liberal just because I don't like Romney?

  • @stoicsquirrel I am also a Paul fan. Nope I assumed you were narrow minded when it came to religion. Religion, color, sexual orientation etc. should not have any bearing on one's capabilities. If you want to attack Romney on, say, healthcare....do so. But to single him out because of his religion is just not right. The vast majority of Mormons are NORMAL people who do not wear magical underpants...nor do they have more than one wife or rape children etc. This is coming from an atheist....

  • @Mobee211 Come on...If you can't make fun of people for wearing magic underwear, who can you make fun of?

  • @stoicsquirrel lol, you do have a point. but mitt is a moderate mormon. i don't think he wears magic banana hammocks :)

  • Inspired and inspiring.

  • THAT.........WAS................AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With people like Rubio, Perry, and Bachman running for President, I have a LOT more hope for our country over the next 8 yrs.

  • @trentsmillmansion1 Perry and Bachman are fucking pin-headed headcases...Rubio is the only logical republican...I see right now...everyone else has some kind of hypocrisy...

  • I've heard enough...Marco Rubio for President!!

  • Comment removed

  • Marco is a true up and coming. Give him another 8 years and he'll be presidential material.

  • john Kerry is a pile of shit.

  • Pants tent... A great voice for the GOP.. Watch the far left media start to come after him now.. He poses a threat to those frauds..

  • oh thank god. there is some one in Washington with their head out of this bipartisan, extremist, he-said she-said shit. And he seems like he'll actually back up his strong rhetoric, unlike other well-spoken politicians we've heard.

  • he needs to run for president

  • Way to go Marco...

  • @Mudcat50 Do you not even know Marco Rubio has only be in Washington since last January? Seven months. He is not claiming he was not around. He was not around.

  • @Mudcat50 Did you even watch the video ?

  • @Mudcat50 The last time this country had a surplus was when we had President Washington in office. The surplus you are talking about just looks like one because we had 1 billion dollars taken from medicare/medicade to make it look balanced.

  • @Mudcat50 He wasn't around when Barry Soetoro was elected POTUS. This country hasn't had a surplus since we had President Washington. The surplus you think was there was actually $1 Billion taken from medicare/medicade to make it look like it was balanced. We had to have this war we are in now because President Clinton was to busy over looking attacks on Americans 93 95 98 and 2000 to care about defending us getting attack. I mean Impeached Clinton. Can't wait till POTUS Soetoro is GONE GONE!!!!

  • @Mudcat50 The "surplus" you are talking about was a 1 billion dollar debt in medicare/medicade from an impeached president who moved the numbers around to make it look like a balanced budget. The last time this country had a balanced budget was President Washington's.

  • This guy has balls. I don't cave in into "Vote Democrat" or "Vote Republican" because the majority of the time, its the same shit; one is dark green and the other is bloody red.

    Hopefully I hear him more.

  • Rubio for President.....He makes more sense than anyone I've listend to.....Rubio for President,,,,What a truely common sense American.....This is what America needs....action not politics.....Rubio for President.....I'll bet he has a birth certificate too....

  • I generally vote Democrat, but I like what this guy has to say. I think BOTH parties were wrong in this latest debacle regarding our debt ceiling. America needs to trim it's spending to be more inline with what it receives but instead of cutting benefits to people who have paid for them or seriously need them, America needs to stop giving away our $ to the vast majority of other countries out there. How can our politicians tell Americans WE must sacrifice while then giving away OUR tax dollars?

  • We have the right to alter or abolish, and I say it's high time we did it!!

  • Fine rhetoric from the Repugs who dropped us into this hole, now complain that Obama spent money we did not have because Wall St. was deregulated by Bush and Co., and tried to stop the momentum of an unbelievable tailspin toward crashing the entire economy.

Economy held hostage on the debt ceiling to further siphon off money to the wealthy Repug campaign funders - so that these same obscenely wealthy can siphon off yet more money in a time of the greatest wealth disparity since the gilded age

  • @Madravenspeak So passing a massive healthcare bill and a large "stimulus" plan when we were already in a downward spiral was a good idea? This may sound like Republican rhetoric because it has been said over and over, but this is just common sense. If you borrow forty percent of what you spend no matter what you do with that money you are digging yourself a hole. I understand that liberals want to help people, but we have NO money. The next president needs to make the debt a priority.

  • @Madravenspeak

As opposed to the unwealthy democrats recently discussed? John Kerry @ $188 million is the richest congressman. And 7 out of the top10 richest congress members are democrats. And you talk about "these obscenely wealthy". No party has a monopoly on wealth. Youre just practicing typical liberal bias.

  • I saw video on this kid when he was campaigning last year, I was impressed then and I'm still impressed today. He could be president someday and if he stays on this track and doesn't go off the deep end and become a blatant liar like the numbnuts that's in there now, he will get my vote.

  • "This vote, this vote based on legislation I introduced, will and must fail."

Rep. Dave Camp (R) on the debt ceiling legislation vote that they delayed.

  • Lol. So many sheep believing the trash that the Repubes put out.

This debt ceiling "crisis" was staged by Repubes to appease you ignorant Tea Party bastards and to appease the intellectual Wall Street bastards who knew it would pass.

The Republicans even sent letters to Wall Street executives to fucking reassure them that their delay of the vote was, quote, "just for show". Could this country consist of any worse imbeciles than those who vote them into power repeatedly?

  • All of this can be rebutted with one simple thing: RAISE TAXES!

  • @CassAnayadotcom 100% of the income tax CURRENTLY goes toward the national debt and nothing else. Isn't that a high enough percentage of people's money going toward debt??? You sound like one of those people who yack on their cell phone too much and just continue going up on their plan minutes to satisfy their need to run their big mouths. It's not about R's & D's, it's about an unlawful de facto government. It's about a bloated federal government who is now OVER the states.

  • Learch... your days are over in the US Sentate

  • wow rubio is a good public speaker

  • Brilliant speaker AND he put The Senator from Massechussetts in his place.

  • @MyFingerSmellsFishy You're not even going to be able to vote in 2012.

  • Mark Rubio is for real and he certainly must embarrass the Senate as he speaks the truth...

  • For all of you that think that we need revenue increases by raising taxes, then by all means have at it. If you support this president then your taxes should be increased to 85% of your income. Eight hundred fifty dollars for every thousand you earn turned over to the federal govt sounds about right. Cough it up and leave the rest of us alone.

  • End the Fed and the IRS,and let a person with a Job,to keep what they earn . Let them spend it on a healthcare plan that they choose, not what the government mandates through law.Less government is the only solution to this debt that can never be paid.End the Wars and End the Fed. Now we can see the world governance starting to raise it's ugly head.

  • Sure sounded like Kerry put this little freshman in his place. Plus he doesn't help his argument when it is filled with a bunch of GOP: Special Victims Unit whining.

  • Hey, John Kerry- what does the scouter say about his charisma level?

    IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!

    What!?!? 9000?!?

  • This guy is weaseling. Here's a quote:

"Congress consistently brings the government to the edge of default before facing its responsibility. This brinksmanship threatens the holders of government bonds and those who rely on social security and veterans benefits." —Ronald Regan, Radio Address, 1987-09-26

  • Wow! I listened to the whole thing. Right on target, right on facts and certainly right on solutions. Loved his examples of "tea party extremists", those were great.

  • @jazzyhorn...Dude...show me ONE Obuttwipe tax cut!!! ONE!! Obama has NOT CUT TAXES FOR ANYONE!! Another liberal lie....A tax CREDIT is NOT a cut!!! fucking please!!

  • he is young, idealistic with a fresh approach, however the rather naive young man had been totally misled.

  • The issue is NOT about a balanced budget Amendment but a DEFICIT SPENDING AMENDMENT!!!

  • Rubio is great but it is Obama who has spent towards the debt limit without knowing whether it would be increased. He brought this crisis upon America, no one else. The administration is directly responsible for running into the debt ceiling. That must be clear. If you ruin your dad's business you cannot complain about the damn banks who cut your credit line. It's your fault.

And how is there a risk to default on the debt? Obama would rather default on the debt than closing Yellowstone?

  • Wow. Marco Rubio is amazing! Rubio! Rubio! Ru-B-Ooooooo!

  • This guy could be the next Reagan. He had better be on the R ticket as the VP for the next election. I could handle this guy in the executive branch for 16 years. I had heard about him, but never seen him operate and man is he good. His oratory skills put the President's to shame.

It is long, but worth the watch. He tears up Herman Munster, aka: John Kerry.

Do yourself a favor and watch Mr. Rubio go to work.

  • @billyfromcuster I'm with you billy...I really hope he is on the VP list next year...he's a straight shooter

  • @billyfromcuster I'm with you billy...I really hope he is on the VP list next year...he's a straight shooter

  • @billyfromcuster

"This guy could be the next Reagan"

Indeed, he could again raise the debt by 187% nominally and by 20.6% of GDP in a time of peace. He could again over-extend military expenditures to the once-considered massive level it is at today. He could further destroy the era of wealth equality in favor of the modern era of plutocracy. He would get some economic growth from all these exploits and be applauded by fools who don't know the price of it.

    Very much like Reagan.

  • @nafaidni Any nation that has "wealth equality" is very likely a nation where everyone is dirt poor. Cuba and the former USSR were far better at achieving wealth equality than we have ever been. And over-extending military expenditures forced the Soviet system into bankruptcy. Thanks to Reagan we do not have to go to bed at night fearing nuclear war. It was great to have a president who actually used deficit spending for productive purposes, unlike the current one.

  • @pholland

Really. And let's see how Russia is doing today, shall we? No industrial growth, pathetic GDP growth in 20 years, a decaying and demoralised military, a population headed for extinction, no global diplomatic power, declining literacy, excessively high alcoholism that reduces the life expectancy of males to sub-Saharan 59 years, rampant crime, higher unemployment, racist fervour, etc.

The Reagan doctrine was even more "effective" in Russia than it was in America, apparently.

  • @nafaidni Sorry, but how is that our problem? Last time I checked Reagan was president of the United States, not Russia. One thing's for sure, no one goes to bed worried about World War III anymore.

  • @pholland

I thought Soviet Russia was a wasteland of no economic growth and unhappy people (according to you). Why is it so terrible now that its doctrines have been abandoned? Hasn't capitalism worked yet? Capitalism is ALWAYS superior to socialism right?

60% of Russians today disagree. They've experienced both ideologies and we can determine well which one worked for Russia.

  • @nafaidni First of all, Moscow is a far more prosperous city today than it was 20 years ago. Russia is not a terrible place, and is far better off today than in 1991. But let's go ahead and assume your premise that Russia is just as bad now as before is correct (which it isn't), your conclusion is still invalid: Russia is NOT a capitalist country. Simply because it abandoned communism does not make it capitalist. Either way, we are all better off. Because of Reagan, the Cold War ended.

  • @nafaidni If 60%, obviously a supermajority, of Russians disagree, why don't they vote the communists back in? Why haven't they chosen to reinstitute Marxism? Why haven't they elected to go back to the days of empty store shelves, 5-year waiting periods for cars that don't even work, and central planning?

  • @pholland According to one human rights activist in Russia, you can't trust those polls because Russia is a "policed state."

  • @k0spe No disagreement there.

  • @pholland

Russia and America aren't "democracies". The majority can't have whatever it wants. They can only elect politicians into their offices to enact their decisions. Sadly, the unimaginably corrupt Russian politicians will never reinstate the Soviet regime's concepts. They profit off of the current system much better.

Russia, like Afghanistan, is just another failure of Reagan's intrusions on the world. As is our debt crisis today, him being the first post-WWII pres. to raise debt/GDP.

  • @billyfromcuster Unlike Reagan...this guy understands economics....you really think Reaganomics works?

  • @phester061594452 Yeah, it did. If you cut up front taxes, people have money to spend which increases sales taxes by a lot more than they would have taken in otherwise.

  • @MyFingerSmellsFishy Learn to spell "abyss" before using it, you human handjob.

  • Sorry Marco, but you can pretend to be Tea Party if you'd like, but as soon as you walk away, they still consider you a dirty immigrant Cuban.

As an American businessman I ask, please place America's business interests first before your family's wealth. Vote for open trade with Cuba for the benefit of US business. You will never get your family's plantations or the Mob's casino holdings back. It's been 50 years and billions of dollars of wasted taxpayers dollars trying... You failed!

  • Finally a politician that tells it like it is. Wonderful job Mr. Rubio on calling out all the other insubordinate politicians on their lame and poor performances as elective officials. I hope that you will always continue to speak out and up for those of us who continue to put our trust in you.

  • I enjoy listening to someone who has done their research.

It also puts them in a great position for answering unprepared questions.

  • This guy would mop the floor with Barack Obama in a debate!

  • @aardvark3208 So what's your point?

  • If you do not "relish the role...of attack dog" nor "think it's constructive" then why are you playing that role? You say you are not going to play the blame game, but then go blame the nation's problems on the President and the democratic party. You can argue that there has been no significant attempt to directly reduce the deficit during the last two years, and you would be fairly correct in saying that. But don't be a hypocrite.

    Thank you for listening,

    Reed Beeley

  • @TheReedBeeley Sometimes people have to do what they don't want to do. Sometimes you just have to take a stand even when it's hard and people like you will attack. I appreciate him taking a stand and calling out Congress and Obama. Good honest politicians are few and far between. Instead of attacking we need to encourage them. I hope someday you will grow up and stop believing everything msnbc says.

  • Comment removed

  • @ejfurniture Chances are you're a FOXtard.

  • @SmallpoxRot Wow, you must be an MSNBCtard. Ohh, what an intelligent dialog we have here. Maybe you should continue with watching "fail" videos and let the adults have the discussion.

  • @SmallpoxRot LOL You=not smart

  • @bigboss686 lolwut

  • @SmallpoxRot LOL You=not smart

  • @bigboss686 lolwut

  • @SmallpoxRot LOL You=intellectually devoid fascist

  • @bigboss686 How can I be a fascist? I'm on the left.

You're not the brightest creature, are you?

  • @SmallpoxRot LOL fairness doctrine, college speech codes, smoking bans, bans on how much you consult your food, bans on what kind of lightbulbs you can buy etc. etc. Liberal Fascism at its finest, but then again, you're not the brightest creature, are you...

  • @bigboss686 That's not fascism. It might be progressivism running rampant, but it's not fascism. Fascism is the believe in the importance of the state over the well-being of the governed. Smoking bans are annoying, but understandable. There are no bans on food. I'm not sure what you mean by "consult." Like, you ask your food for advice?

You probably should've gone to school.

  • @SmallpoxRot LOL so how does "progressivism some run rampant" impose its will on people without, you know, imposing its will on people? When you impose your will on people in an effort to micromanage their lives. Then that is fascism blooming.

BTW Interesting that you only mention smoking bans, after all I know how much it progressives hate free speech *cough* fairness doctrine *cough* Far as food is concerned want to go buy a 4 loko anyone? oh wait, can't buy what the grocery store, banned.

  • @bigboss686 You are tying yourself up with contradictions and slippery slopes. If there was a state with no impositions, it would technically be anarchy. But that is false, as the act of robbing or killing is still an imposition.

You are an extreme novice, and no amount of youtubing will help you understand. You must start at the basics, the very reason government exists. Also, I answered each aspect of your question, not just the smoking part. Are you blind or just stupid?

  • @SmallpoxRot Wow, it's rare to meet a simpleton of your caliber. A non-micromanaged society with minimal laws is not anarchy, that is a terrible strawman on your part. All those strawmen and various other debate fallacies seem the only tools you are capable of using. What a pity, you strike me as I sad an pathetic man who now thinks you're and intellectual after reading one book, it takes reading many books. You will realize that when you get up to my level, till then you're just a sad amateur

  • @bigboss686 Jesus, I just knew that you'd come back with some sort of attempt at a highbrow insult. What don't you get? You're allowed to do pretty much whatever you want in this country, as long as it doesn't harm others.

I got a real kick out of you whining about 4 Loko. First of all, it isn't outright banned, it depends on where you are. Second, what are you, 16? Have a beer, fruitcup. And take an English course, for cryin' out loud. You sound like a Chinese woman. Dumb hoss.

  • @SmallpoxRot I wouldn't expect a left-wing fascist like yourself to understand that what kind of light bulb you put in your house or what you choose to listen to on the radio doesn't hurt anyone, yet left wing fascists such as yourself have tried to regulate both areas. Also, you said no food was banned, yet 4 loco is, it doesn't have to be banned everywhere to be banned, dummy. There is also the proposed salt ban several left-wingers are championing. Not very bright you sad little amateur

  • @bigboss686 Now you're just full-on ranting like a schizoid. You can put whatever kind of lightbulb you want into a house. Interesting, isn't it? As for the radio, I suppose you mean that cursing is banned or something? There isn't any music worth listening to on the radio, and conservatives dominate the talk-show airwaves.

It sounds like you're trying to make your life sound much harder than it is. Salt thing? Bad. But who the hell gives a crap about 4 loko? Don't you have other alcohol?

  • @SmallpoxRot Wow, you're so damn stupid it's amazing. So according to you, you can put whatever kind of light bulb in your house you want eh? All wrong dummy huffingtonpost(.)com/2011/01/24/california-incandescent-l_n_813093(.)html

as the rest of your blithering ignorance. It's just as easily disproven.

  • @bigboss686 Where I live, you can use any bulb known to man. Is this really a major factor in your life?

  • @bigboss686 From everything I've ever read radical right-wing, authoritarian, nationalist governments would be called fascist and radical left-wing, authoritarian, socialist governments would be called communist. It would therefore be more accurate for you to use "communist" instead of "fascist" in your hyperbole.

  • @porsche911sbs Sweet, I get to prove how you're retarded intellectually quick and easy. Right-wing politics has since the beginning always been associated with SMALLER government, in order to have fascism, you have to have BIG government. There are pretty much zero significant instances of a fascist government, Germany, Russia, Italy etc. that didn't start off pushing socialism and evolve to communism.

Next time try thinking for yourself instead of regurgitating nonsense

  • @bigboss686 I'm just saying, any political science textbook would describe authoritarian states of both the left- (progressive) and right-wings (conservative) of the political spectrum. Left-wing authoritarian = communist; right-wing authoritarian = fascist. Similarly, liberal states can be either left- or right-wing. Left-wing liberal = anarchy; right-wing liberal = libertarian. And by "liberal" I mean classically liberal (the philosophy of John Locke).

And I do think for myself.

  • @porsche911sbs LMAO thats hilarious an self-delusion, claim you think for yourself then spew the dogma of political textbooks like a robot. I wonder if your swift enough to catch the irony of what you've just done?

The fact of the matter is that you're trying to say something is so fat that it becomes thin, ridiculous. Communism is inextricably linked to fascism, certainly so in the 20th century. Is it your opinion that Lenin exhibited no fascism? if so you are quite delusional

  • @bigboss686 Actually I knew you'd respond that way. Its simply that I find it convenient, as a student of political science, to use the same definitions as the academic sphere. If I didn't than there'd be no way to discuss the political spectrum with fellow peers.

I think you use "fascism" as synonymous with "cult of personality." Indeed, Lenin had an enormous personality cult. But personality cults are a feature of authoritarian states, which include both fascist and communist systems.

  • Marco Rubio for president!

  • @catrock360 He does have the public charisma that possessed Reagan.

  • Can we get a slow clap going?

  • Now, there is someone with big cojones. He will get my support if he ever run for president.

  • (pt 3) The debt and borrowing he put in motion for his tax cuts and wars, plus his $800 billion TARP bill, added another $1.2 trillion in debt to the budget he left Obama for his first year in office in 2009 boosting total debt from the Reagan-through-Bush II era to $13.1 trillion. The Bush II tax cuts, wars and Medicare drug bills, of course, continue now to add debt to the federal budget every day

sorry about the 3 part post it wouldnt let me do it in 1 post lol

  • @mareejayne - (pt 1) This entire 3 part post is either strategically misinforming or unforgivably ignorant. I'm hoping for the former. The $800 billion TARP bill was crafted and passed by the Pelosi-Reid congress. Then Senator Obama left his presidential campaign trail to return to Washington to "help broker the deal" that was written to bailout banks that couldn't balance their books because of the trades they made on shaky housing loans. At the forefront were Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac...

  • (pt 2) When Republicans tried to block the second $350 billion installment of the TARP funds from being released in January 2009, the Democrats stopped them, even though there was little accounting for how the first $350 billion was spent. To this day, the public doesn't know where all the TARP money has gone.

The Obama administration then gave Fannie and Freddie unlimited access to government coffers on Christmas Eve 2009 which has, so far, cost the US taxpayer over a trillion dollars.

  • (pt 3) After all these housing bailouts, more than a million homes were foreclosed in 2010--a record high. We are on pace to exceed that in 2011.

US taxpayers are now on the hook for another $2.6 trillion dollars to pay for Obamacare.

According to the Congressional Research Service, if the current bill is passed and the debt limit is increased by $2.4 trillion, the two largest debt-limit increases in U.S. history would come in back-to-back years, both during the presidency of Barack Obama.

  • (pt 4) The budget deficit under the "debt king" (as you called him) was steady at around .5 trillion dollars for the 1st 6 years of his presidency. When democrats took control of congress, that number immediately doubled. In Obama's first 2 years, that original number has nearly doubled again. His illegal wars against Libya, his invasion of Pakistan, and the failure to improve both the physical or financial conditions in Iraq and Afganistan are significant signs of his leadership failure(s)...

  • (pt 5) And finally, does it really matter if a miniscule tax cut disproportionately favors the wealthy when the burden of the 100% or more debt to GDP ratio will not be born by the unwealthy? They (the poor) will continue to benefit from the labor, the innovation, the security, and the financial bailout of pisspoor liberal spending practices of democrats, by the wealthy. Now that your party is about to spend more money in a year than the entire economy makes, who is left to blame. Try a mirror.

  • (pt. 2) George W. Bush, the debt king, raised the $5.8 trillion debt in 2001 by $6.1 trillion to a total of $11.9 trillion (mainly by borrowing to pay for his huge tax cuts that disproportionately benefited the wealthiest Americans, for his wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and for the unfunded Medicare prescription bill).

  • I wish I had a senator like him from my state! Bravo!

  • @JeanannO He's mine and are we ever proud of him!

  • Whoa wait...Where's his tele-prompter? Oh wait? He can actually give a speech?!!!

  • @conceptmuscle Wow, another teleprompter crack. You are so original. Is there a place where I can send money to your cause?

  • @SmallpoxRot Yes, the address is:

    Republican National Committee

    310 First Street, SE,

    Washington,DC 20003

  • @conceptmuscle You don't detect sarcasm very well, do you?

  • @SmallpoxRot That was a sarcastic retort, my friend. But I don't mind putting the address out there.

  • @conceptmuscle Ahh, I see. No way in hell would I send money to them.

You do realize that all presidents use prompters, don't you? And as such, your comment was inane.

  • Best 14 minutes on the internet.

  • @gr8mtn You have some living to do.

  • Absolutely fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. It's great to know that we have young people in our gov't who think this way and are willing to take on the overwhelming bullshit that occurs every second of every day in Washington. Amen!

  • How can there be 42 dislikes for this speech? Who can disagree with what Marco is saying? Amazing

  • @ejfurniture - My guess is John Kerry and 41 other people with the IQ of a lab rat. All they can do is smell the cheese.

  • Who are the 42 morons that don't agree with Rubio? This guy is sopt on!

  • @BuckHunter1579

I was just thinking the same thing ;0)

  • Stop the dishonesty on the right - a large part of the reason we are in this situation is because the Bush administration made no attempt to pay for the Afghanistan war, the Iraq war, the prescription drug benefit for seniors, and the irresponsible tax cuts. We are at historically high levels of spending and historically low levels of taxation. 40% of the stimulus, which the right likes to criticize, was tax cuts, which are known to be ineffective, but that was included to placate the right.
