  • @Ninjaguiden89 not patronising at all! (and im not being rude) but God tells us through his revelation that NO OTHER way of life will be accepted.

Now think about it - if God is speaking to us telling us what he expects from us and our purpose, then re-read your comment and ask yourself again if it really is patronising or a reality.

  • Raise your hand if you can not hear me....lol

  • and i was 14 when i was asked that and i sincerely didn't know how to respond you know and this question's been stuck in my head and i'm going to turn 18 this year insha'Allah hu taa'laa but i havent found the answer to this question or maybe i'm afraid to ask anyone cuz they're gonna think tht i'm having trouble with my faith but wallahi i am not. please could someone answer this?

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 Well, sister, it seems to me a matter of faith. Like brother Nouman said, there are two parts to Islam: the spiritual and the logical. Now, for an illiterate man, living in a community of illiterates, to suddenly wake up one morning and start preaching the Quran, is quite unheard of. The explanation of the unbelieving Arabs at the time was that he used magic(Notice: Even they couldn't bring themselves to say he came up with it on his own);

  • Modern non-believers often say he was genius. Now, both these explanations seem a bit far-fetched to me and frankly, reek of desperation. Bottom line, if you want to find the truth, read the Quran with open mind, heart and sincere effort(The Original version, the english translation, Tafseer by people like Br.Nouman); Then ask yourself, can a human being come up with this? Remember, He who seeks knowledge, seeks heaven; and all the answers lie with the One. I hope that helped :)

  • that's exactly what i'm talking about. I know Qur'aan is from Allah but i don't know how to tell this to a non believer who is persistent upon what he's been deceived with. a 21 year old non believer comes to a 14 year old girl and asks something like that. i didn't know how to convince that person to read Quran i mean i'm not a daa'ee.. so basically, it's not about my faith, it's actually about how i couldn't respond to him... :/

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 Very easy sis. Just show him the scientific facts in the Qur'aan. Tell him Allah himself says in the Qur'aan that there is NO contradictions or errors in this book. Tell him to read the Qur'aan himself in his language. Tell him Islam is the only Religion that makes perfect sense and is logical. Tell him to show you a better Religion then Islam. In fact Allah himself says that. There is ONLY ONE God & Muhammad (pbuh) is his FINAL Messenger.

  • @MrBOXA01 the thing is we need to learn the qur'aan cause much people cant go to a muslim school i am a son of muslim ancestors musilm everything but my parents sent me to public school. so ive learned how to pray ( really basics ) i kno couple stories about islam but i aint know much about the qur'aan. and that is the problem. like nouman said i got alot of questions that i probably wouldnt have if i know the religion correctly

  • @FoxGTR32 Bro if you have any questions i am very happy to help and answer with the best of the knowledge i have. & Also im sure that a lot of brothers would love to answer any questions you have. My advice is to go search on the Internet and study Islam, listen to lectures. Watch The Deen Show. My personal favorite scholars are Nouman Ali Khan, Kamal El Mekki, Dr Zakir Naik, Sheikh Feiz etc.. So look them up and watch their videos.

  • @MrBOXA01 allright thank you

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 I love your username. its cute :)

  • Technically, you can't "convince" anybody! Da'wa literally means invitation and your motive should be:1.Earning some Ajr for yourself by pleasing Allah. 2.Love and Compassion for your fellow brother/sister! Now, think about it, if you offered a loved one a glass of water and instead of drinking it they splash it across you face, would you response be to figure out a way to force the water down their throat? Or offer them another glass of water and leave the rest to Allah!

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 My point is you can't change another person's mind regardless of how much proof, evidence and logical arguments you present unless Allah wills it. Our Prophet (PBUH), the greatest Daa'ee ever, couldn't "convince" his own uncle that raised him because Allah didn't will it. But he never stopped trying. That is all that is required from us; Effort and Patience, the result is determined by Allah alone. I hope that helped!

  • @sule7 oh and i reviewed my very first comment it wasn't a Muslim who asked that, it was a non muclim .. typo.

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 anyone who thinks/says that Muhammad brought a "new religion" either does not know about Islam at all, or is lieing or is just plain stupid.

  • @sule7 and jazakAllahu khaiyran for your time and effort..

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 If the Qur'an was from someone other than Allah than there would be contradictions in it, this is enought to deal with the skeptics. Qur'an does not mention any of Muhammad's wives or daughters to praise them but instead mentions a Jewish woman - Mariam, and Pharoahs wife. It keeps mentioning Moses all the time and other prophets and most book is centred around Jewish Prophets - it even uses strong language against Muhammad himself (Surah Al-Abasa).

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 Another simple thing that can be pointed out is the one about Abu-Lahb. A very well known prediction was made that he shall die as a disbeliever and Qur'an 111 also is about him. Had he simply come up and said - well I am becoming a muslim now he could have put the whole integrity of Islam, Qur'an and Prophet to pieces, thats all he had to do in order to confuse muslims and islam, likewise there are many other examples also.

  • @TheMuslimPrincess94 Finally there is the historical fact about Arabic of the Qur'an. We know for a fact that Muhammad (PBUH) was not a poet, he did not do poetry. In Arabia of that time time, poets were of quite special significance to the extent that a certain person (don't remeber name) who one the poetry contest among tribes, had the people present there bow to him and his poetry hung in the Haram. Even people of this calibre failed when try to produce "like the Quran"

  • i was once asked a question by a muslim.well it wasn't quite a question.or maybe it was .the person said to me "Mohammad (sallallahu alaiyhewasallam) didn't actually have the word of God with him, but he fabricated the book (Quran) himself, nauzubillah, because he wasn't satisfied with his religion in arabia and since he was a trader and got to visit many places and learned about the religions of other people, he learned the stories and came back to introduce a new religion."cont-
