What about the included pen and tablet software included with windows Vista??.... is it good to take notes too (handwriting recognition) in word ? Is the "virtual" keyboard usable in tablet mode to write some text ( in IE for example ) ? Thanks!
good review! just out of curiosity, what is a good tablet laptop for media editing such as photoshop that doesn't lag and pressure sensitivity? and another quick question, have you tried it with windows 7?
Not sure if I understand. The application I was using was Microsoft OneNote, truly a mission critical app for a tablet.
Yes, can watch movies in tablet mode, but not all content will work in portrait mode but anything will work in landscape mode just like it would as standard laoptop.
but how do you do that erasing the whole word? please if it's ok with you...check out your video from time 3:07 to 3:14. is that microsoft onenote? thank you
Ok, that's just the scratch out gesture, just like scratching something out on real paper only that it actually removes what has been scratched out. Is that what you wanted to know?
Man, you got some good stuff to say, but it takes you so long to say it. Remember, less is more. Try to keep your videos short and sweet. Don't really wanna sit here for an hour with you...
Hey men, what was the aplication u were using to take notes? I just discovered an Microsoft journal that is really nice, but I would know what is ur application, thx
I got 3 minutes into this video and gave up. I thought you were reviewing the laptop and not trying to break the Guiness Book for the most Ummms in a video!
Well, this would be like using a regular mouse drawing on photoshop I guess. I have a pressure sensitive tablet and I find it annoying, because I'd rather change the shades and width of my paintbrush myself rather then trying to mess with the pressure thing.
i really want to buy this but theres one thing that is really putting me off is the NOISY FAN u can hear it its sooooo loud is there anyway to stop that like a cooling fan or something like that
I'm not sure an external cooling fan will help the noise problem, it might actually add to it. I think the only way to reduce the noise is to not use it at the Maxed out capacity that he is using it, but at a more consumer level, such as decreased brightness, decreased active standby (how long it goes without a screen saver coming on, background apps, basically anything that would stress the CPU)
Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes there is a right click button on the pen. Personally I don't like those buttons because I always seen to hit them accidentally while writing. This is my forth tablet and they all had this button on the pen. I've gotten trained to not hit the button much anymore but I could live without it. I always tap and hold for right clicking. But that's me.
Oh ok thanks I'm not that good of an artist myself but this pc is no problem for me I never used photoshop I always wanted to have it to make my drawings more graphic but thats ok. The touchscreen option is best for me in so many ways since I own a wireless mouse it uses up so many batteries so if i just want to surf the web or go through my favs in youtube i just poke the video with my finger or the pen
Sorry, Photoshop is not included. Plus I must add that if you are a serious Photoshop person this may not be the tablet for you. I don't think pressure sensitivity in Photoshop is supported with the N-Trig digitizer, so that might be a problem for you.
Does Photoshop come with the laptop already inside or do you have to buy it separately? I'm very interested in buying this laptop this piece of technology is just amazing I was looking at it in the HP site. Has a good price too for only $999.99

This is the DreamScene add on that comes with Windows Vista Ultimate extras using an add on to it called Deskscapes from a company called Stardock.
Unfortunately this isn't supported under Windows 7 officially though I do believe that Stardock is woking on a package that will add it.

HELP PLEASE
redareda11 2 years ago
The tx2z is the later model. I believe that the tx2500z has been discountined by HP. At least its no longer on their web site for sale.
heatlesssun 2 years ago
I work for HP and they have discontinued the 2500Z so it is no longer available
michael83686 2 years ago
Did you decide which one to get? The only reason I can't decide which one to get is because it doesn't work well with photoshop.
But I don't understand pressure sensitivity - I never used a tablet before.

Sorry, no eraser on this pen. It's kind of a drag especially on a new device but in real life its not that big of deal to me.
heatlesssun 3 years ago
What I meant was is there a button on the pen for right click or do you have to do some sort of tap and hold deal.

So, the stylus doesn't have the eraser button, but does it have a button on the side or something for right click?
