  • I'm 10 years old and i workout all the time. I hardly have time to eat or sleep. I just keep going and going. I hold all the records at my school for jumping jacks, for a month,standing on my head for one week, running a mile in under 6 minutes, 1000 push ups non stop and loving myself more than anyone else on youtube.

  • You probably could get in the same shape training just as intensively in the gym, yeah.

    BUT P90X is a home system with no membership fees, no guys standing around you admiring themselves in the mirror... just a video motivating you to keep going day after day. I've just ordered it after I got bored and fed up of gym w***kers, combining it with white water kayaking & canoe polo, cross country running, athletics circuits training and weights at home. Can't wait to see what happens :D

  • no need for P90X. at 13 and 202lbs ive attained incredible results through powerlifting in bench, squat and deadlift plus bodybuilding, powersports, sports and gymnastics and combat sports as well. :)

  • U know if I train as intensely in the gym as in P90X, i'm pretty sure i'll get results just as good as wat i'll get in P90x. But the difference is i'll actually get much stronger.

  • If you desire convenience and a spoon fed approach to fitness you are going to fail. You are fat because you never exercise, and you only eat when you're really hungry while snacking on crap in between those times. Your fast food, frozen instant meals, sugar cereals with crap carbs, your coffee for energy instead of sleep and healthy food etc... This is why you are unfit. Plan your meals, (6 small ones a day), Sleep on schedule, exercise hard-yes, past the point of just sweating. Make the time.

  • Good for old people outa shape. Or any age that knows nothing about strength training but has money. because this won't teach you much about it just give you exercises tell you when to exercise and what to eat and what portions. You can easily buy p90x and get these results by not cheating on there diet plan. Doing it on your own YOU DONT need a personal trainer you just need to know HOW to research into what you really want(bodybuilding,weight lifting,strength or isolation training) + patience.

  • @kkev1n yeah you are right ... but trust me, P90X is very complete... instead to pay each time a personal trainner ... you pay for workout that you can do home and you can have a diet guide ... and know how many calories to eat with an excel file (you enter your weight and it shows you how many calories to eat, etc etc...it's really well done) I will try the P90X an knows friend that did it ...and I have positive feedbacks ;)

If your goal is to gain mass, I recommand to go to the gym to lift heavy weights, but if your goal is to lose weights and you want to ripped your body, P90X or Insanity is good!..But the most important thing is, you need to WORKOUT lol

    i havent tried it but a friend of mine has. he told me for the first couple of weeks he wasnt losing any weight but after that his weight dropped like nothing and he did get kinda cut. overall, he got in really good shape using this.

    only problem was he walked around like he was completely stiff because he was always sore.

  • This program should definitely work...the fact is people get in shape...therefore it's a better program for some people. Can you make your own program and eating plan and have equal or more success...of course you can. Haters should not feel threatened since it helps people get off the couch and get in shape, people are just excercising here...and fanboys shouldn't get all excited that eating healthy and working out will give you a six pack...so why all the controversy in the comments I read.

  • @BaptismOfMoonlight - Yeah it works, but ONLY if you follow the nutrition guide as well. If you decide to do it, make sure that you eat enough, if you stop losing weight the natural tendency is to restrict more calories.

    If you don't eat more when you feel like you're overtraining... you're going to either have to take a week off of the exercise routine (and prolong the phase for another week), or reduce the intensity of the exercises for a while.

  • Im trying to do it, but yea-its tough. They actually include a preliminary workout sheet with it that says you must be able to do at least so many push ups, squats, etc., before you can do the exercises. They will kick your ass too if you're not ready for them. It can be ridiculous at times. Like theres the chest, shoulders exercise where, about half way through and 4 dozen different pushups and pec flys later, Tony Horton asks to do one armed push ups. Crazy!

  • I have a friend who actually did the program and I noticed a very noticeable difference The dude went from chubby to ripped, and I'm not even joking. I am telling you a real story, not something fiction. I actually know someone who did it, so it's a good program.

  • I'm sure this workout CAN work, but...this system relies on people who are ready for change and would have done more for their hearts, muscles and connective tissues using free weights, cables, sports etc. Any system that claims to give you all you need is flawed (see fundamental attribution error) I'm sure it's beneficial in the short term but in the long term it's far more beneficial to build your own strategy based on many info sources...and give yourself credit!!

  • I work as personal trainer and I know its impossible someone over 50,100 or more pounds to do anything that it wants without getting sick or close to a heart attack.

    Exercise can be dangerous if you dont know what you are doing or if you dont know your body well.

    Some ppl are not big,but still have high blood pressure, so is very important to make sure your body will handle such workout.

    I bet they have those lil and long text saying you should see a doc before start it

  • yes i did, maybe its cuz my age ( 14 yrs old) but i started seeing results at the beggining like crazy, then after it just stayed the same, no changes occured after, i can say im not fat, so maybe that has soemthing to do with it

  • well 14 years is young indeed , starting training will make you stop growing due to hardening your bones(this stops growth)...but still you should see results :) , following they're diet plan + some whey protein powder and some creatine

  • creatine is a supplement that has a bit more advantages here are some :

    -makes your muscle able to relax more (muscles when relaxing actually build more muscle tissue , not when pulling)

    -boost of energy

    -retains some water for extra hydratation on muscles(also boosts size but u need to drink loads of WATER)

    Phospho-creatine is an energy system activated for short extreme effort (1-3 rep maximums; not for the many p90x workouts I've seen). Such as being an energy booster in that regard.

    It's not a muscle relaxant and I doubt they even claim that.

    Water retention in muscle = aesthetics. Nothing more. It's arguable that edema in the muscles actually slows it's healing process.

    P90x diet includes creatine? I think it's safe to leave that out really.

  • you have no clue about creatine at all apparently , yeah you don't take them once and your good to go for the whole 3-months , you take them daily in the morning and b4/after the workout to see better results , google creatine and it's effects to see before you act like a smartass :)
