For those who are asking this piece is entitled Carmen Fantasy by Sarasate. (Introduction-Allegro Moderato and from 3:06 onward the Moderato part, familiar tune, is it not?) Sarasate based it on the themes of Carmen--a famous opera by Bizet.
hi john im rovi from eat bulaga napanuod ko yung pag violin mo invite sana kita sa eatbulaga for sreening if u r interested..09058308940 just contact me. t.y
the om pah pah is quite heavy indeed.. I am used to Sarah changs's interpretation.. still... he is one of the leading violinists from the Philippines who insprired many aspiring violinists.... He's father Sergio Esmillia is great as well!!!!
Esmilla is an an excellent violinist. He had some intonation problems in the higher registers - they didn't sound good, and are unusual for a violinist of his stature and training. As well, there were some tempo 'disagreements' between him and Tiu. Tiu's left hand's oom pah pah, was too loud and too prominent. As a duo, the balance was a bit off between them.
joseph esmilla thats great ha.. napahanga mo ako.. ok sana mapanood kita sa live.. hehehe im still stdying my self.. stdy kaya 2 isa kang ispiration para mag pa2loy pa ako... ik

I think I was in the same high school in Manila (Caloocan, actually) which Joseph Esmilla attended before going to Julliard.
One of his batchmates eventually got a scholarship in West Point, too.
