  • does anyone know how much Andromeda's were produced in total?

  • TERRIFYING power from this machine! If the music Gods can smile on me and lead this great machine into my hands I vow to make electronic anthems for their glory!

  • How do you get it sound into your tracks?.. do you have to record the audio into some kind of recorder? or just directly into a audio interface or something? cheers

  • It's hands down, the best synth, keyboard i've ever had. Best sounding, really nice key bed, and by miles the most innovative!

  • The first and second arp patches turned out nice... Nice tweaking and ribbon moves, dude.

  • is there any synth out there that compares anything close to this for a good price that isnt a mini? please respond, somebody.

  • Shame that this is discontinued...

  • @FinlandApollo I know right? good for me that I got one already!

  • @experiment0003 You lucky ****er :D

  • how much it is gonna cost?

  • @MikeSid91 if you're lucky enough to find one on sale, around $3000.

  • great sound

  • ALESIS is quality.

  • this turns me onnnnn :)

  • this is it!

  • Tremendous sound! Someday I will have this keyboard.

  • Yes, they starting manufactoring A6's again, but then stopped again. There are new ones around if you search. I got mine back in 2002 or 2003, can't remember! They are a beast when it comes to power, they can blow speakers. I Love mine to Death!

Just ordered Arturias V bundle, now I'll have all the analogue beastes in VST form as well. Saw a ARP 2600 on ebay for a little under $ 12,000.00

  • Great electronic power, I like it

  • эх мечта

  • what you guys think? should i invest 3200 in one of these? or a New Virus TI2 keyboard. I am on the fence right now and have no clue which to go with.

  • @TheDLovas virus ti 2 is whatever, really it's just like the ti of 2004, only some software upgrade and 25% more power but the sound is the same. good for leads, arps... but THIS really kicks ass, get the Andromeda. i've got a virus but am going to buy one of these in few days. cheers

  • I just want to agree with you guys about mainstream just not doing that great these days. Think I'm gonna pick up one of these however soon, I swear I'm jut counting down the days...

  • I'm hearing countless guitar riffs that go with these sequences...I've got to get me one of those things.

  • sounds like a mother f**ker :-)

  • sounds good

  • Such a sexy machine !!!!

  • When i did approx 4-5 live shows with this baby, it's the only time ever that on every gig sound engineers told how good sounds i had ( just preset tweaks ) but this baby is still, best synthesizer ever made by humankind. I mean, there's nothing bad in it, it has bit bugs etc but hey... nothing that suddenly makes board go tilt.

  • Hope some Day to get this!! Thnx for the Demo man!

  • so juicy sounds! cool synth

  • $3000 on Ebay for this? Well how about i just buy an Access Virus TI2 better!

  • $3000 on Ebay for this? Well how about i just buy an Access Virus TI2 better!

  • Sick!

  • mine should arrive next week - it took me a long time to track one down, cant wait after hearing this demo -

  • Absolutely no.

Just simple single programs with free 2 VCO and arpeggiator/step sequencer on run.

Very important: tuning functions are off (I love warm analog old style sound...).

  • @YpsilonVector I don't have the A6, but I was thinking of buying it at some point. If you turn off the tuning does it mean the oscillators go out of tune slightly in a cool way like in vintage analog synths? Cause that sounds awesome.

  • @metabog yes

  • @YpsilonVector You mean SID style.

  • @YpsilonVector How much is the solar powered model and will clouds affect the cv ohms, persay polyphony or too much cords? or is it mono and wont be an issue? pardon my enlgish

  • Great demo, dude. Thanks for giving us direct input and not recording through a mic like some people do.

  • Alesis should work their quality, durability, reliability and support of their products. They have absolutely great ideas, very original. Prices are reasonable (unlike other more famous synth companies) but their creating giants with feet of clay...

  • i can see why the crystal method likes these

  • this is the best synth for quality/price now if u want to go in analog and dont spend crazy money on old ladies like prophet or so on ...easyli broken and if u broken some in old ladies u will spend millions...not for this toy!

    And it has his character!!!

  • !!! !! ! ★★★★★ ! !! !!!

  • @therealkindle you really think someone can't replicate the way the 3rd osc drifts in digital code? really? a random number generator might do it. that being said,

    analog FTW!

  • Fender Rhodes with a Dyno My Piano...now that's a sound....

  • Hi ! Awesome sound and latin cuore!

  • This is a Fair Demo. Although I never ever use arpegiators. It's too Automatic & I love the Feeling I get when I move my fingures around.

I have noticed that the Older Synthesizers in many cases sound much better than some of the new Synths. Like the Yamaha CS-80, or Profet 5, ARP Oddessey etc. Or is it just me?!!

If I am correct, why is this? I mean, shouldn't Technology Improve the Sound?

  • Idk why, but i agree with you!

  • oberheim ob-12, look it up and see the near perfect melding of the digital and analogue...at least i think so anyways.

  • Bang for buck this is a classic synth, incredible sound and very in-depth. Well worth having in anyones arsenal. Still prefer the sound of Studio Electronics over this beast but there is plenty of things this baby will do that SE won't.

  • That ribbon/strip is a nice touch. Pity one needs to sell a kidney to own this beast......that's why guys like me are slaves to plugins!!

  • this demostration is not the best, I own one A6 and I can asure that no fucking synth sounds better then my A6 in my own hands, I have tryed the voyager, virus, clavia's , waldorf's and obviously tons of software, my A6 stays omnipotent and absolute!

  • Wow. You sound like you have alot of experience. Is this Synth better Dr Moog's MiniMoog Voyager? I'm only a small budget artist with only a SH-201 & a Roland Fantom x8 Workstation, & therefore know very little about these things, Sorry to be a nuessance. But if I was to Save up for a life-time, & had only 1 Oppertunity to fullfill my Dreams.. To Sculpt/Pioneer Sound without using Modular Walls like the EMS Synthi 100.. Can anyone tell me what the best Synthesizer EVER is?

    I'd be very greatfull

  • IT really depends all on what sound you like. I have a SH201 also and love it but it got terrible reviews. But for the price I think it rocks. But basically as far as it goes the master grandaddy synths are as follows

    Alesis Andromeda

Access Virus TI (not analog)...actually maybe

even the Acess polar too...but thats personal

    Moog Minimoog or voyager

I might have missed a few but I think thats most of them

  • Are you being Serious? You're Joking right?!!

The Access Virus TI sounds AWFULLLY Digital! All it does is Pulsate, & it can only pump out ultra Powerful sounds, but that only sounds good in the short run. Songs are not about big powerful sounds, but how gaps are used, the dynamics & the more delicate patches are vital in doing that. The Virus doesn't allow for that! ARP Oddessey MKII or III are awsome. The Profet 5 is an amazing analog synth I've found, & the Oberheim ob-12 is good for soundFX

  • Idk its a personal opinion. Im big on hardstyle which actually IS about ultra powerful sounds. and some of the leaders in the Genre use Virus Synths...actually most of them do.. But Honestly they aren't cheap for a reason. Its a pretty sweet synth. digital and Analog are to different beasts and The Virus series would be considered the Digital equivalent to the Andromeda, in my opinion.

  • I can't argue with that! You're right that they are 2 different beasts. And I guess because I grew up with the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, where by Music Concrete was the art of a century; I have become a protege of the late Delia Derbyshire. Who for me was way ahead of her time. And she was about using quiet sections, & gaps to achieve a multi-layered dynamic.. Even in Mono. A Genius. Squarepusher, Portishead, Jesu & Mike Slott don't use Access. A few are at the top of the Voltage Control Genre!!

  • Also true true. There has been a Re-birth in the whole analog modular sound, and the use of gaps and noise. Especially in House music which is doing some pretty different things than what it was a couple years ago. I do honestly think the Virus line is horrendously over priced, because they really are limited. They have few sounds, but they pretty cool sounds that are tough to replicate via PC or other any other synth....Well the DSI Profet 08 does as good or even better. I do like Analog more

  • That's Coz you're a synthesist. And it comes with the title! You are bound to prefer Analog, because due to the way that Analog electronics modify vibrations, there are small defects, Mistakes & small errors that contribute to an organic & even sometimes an unpredictable sound that always sounds fresh! The Way that the 3rd Osc of the Mini-Moog Drifts slightly for instance; That cannot be replicated digitally. VSTs are Cheap, but if Analog was cheap also, We'd all buy it, & never touch VST again!

  • As for the Access TI Virus.. I have a friend who owns one. And his songs tend to be an impressive sound yes. But it's like what you said.. That sound is limited. If I want to take an Oboe, & Distort it, Pitch Shift it, & create a new sound with it, I can with a workstation synth. It is a powerful weapon in ur musical arsenal, but because it's only a small, yet effective contribution, that makes for expensive purchasing. It doesn't help fight the against Loudness War Either!

  • The Best ever? Not possible. Mono or poly, digital or analog? The voyager and D are both mono. In general the MiniMoog D is considered one of the greatest if not greatest synth because it revolutionized synthesis by making it in a small enough package to haul around easily and the bass sound was/is phenomenal. The andromeda is a great 16 voice polyphonic. Some other notable greats are the arp2600, Oddessey, CS80, Jupiter 8, Oberheim, Prophet 5, elka synthex. fairlight cmi, Kurzweil.

  • great...killer sounds !!!

  • so fat

  • i wear the Andromeda in my ass...my ass snds amazing....way better than the crap some people hav to say.

  • There will come a time in which VST's can match or even surpass analog synths in terms of power and quality of sound, but that time isn't soon.

  • I doubt anything will sound like the real thing. Its real voltage you're hearing....

  • They already have algorithms that emulate the random fluctuations of voltage and whatnot, I predict that in just a few years software synths will sound virtually identical to hardware, even vintage analogs. In fact, there are many software synths on the market already that sound better than any VA out there... And with how fast processing technology increases, I doubt a lot of people are going to stick w/ hardware when all you will need is a midi controller and a computer.

  • I doubt anything can replace real Filters. Have you ever heard MS-20 Filters? how can any software replicate that? They cant. There are many synths that already sound better than any synth?? I havent hear them yet. All of them sound super clean and digital. Even the CS-80 software sux compared to the real CS-80 harware, it KILLS IT...

We are not referring to the clean quality but warm sounds. All you digital guys with midi keyboards. Funny. You can always do so much more on harware than softwar

  • I mean digital has its own benefits but there is nothing like tweaking real knobs and hearing old dirty filters ringing.

You see they keep producing faster and faster chips in modern synths but they still dont compare to vintage synths. WHY? because slow chips is where music sounds the best.

Digital sounds digital and analog will always sound analog. If you can't tell the difference then you've still got virgin ears...

  • Analog synths are excellent and will always have a great character, however, VST's will just keep getting better and better. Analogs will continue to skyrocket in price and people will realize that when it comes to bang for the buck, the future is digital. Especially now that there are full-featured midi controllers and ultra-low latency. Take MASSIVE for instance. In a mix I doubt many people would be able to say "oh, that's digital."

  • I think that you are right, but it is interesting we are going through a modular renaissance and part of it is the sound despite the limitations and time taken with patching. I would love to have both my modular and a kyma. In a mix you are right it is hard to tell and some of that is because we are listening to mp3's. Live the difference is earth shattering still. That isn't to say I don't like digital it creates, for me, some very alien and strange sounds. I love both.

  • There are some analogs that cannot be accurately emulated digitally... the MS-20 and CS-80 are perfect examples. But what I am saying is that given the doubling in CPU power every 1.5 years as well as more sophisticaed programming techniques will make it a reality. I am all about analog, believe me. I own several synths and analog effects. When it comes to VA hardware synths, they're pretty much obsolete, unless someone wants a standalone instrument away from a computer. Otherwise use a VST.

  • Interesting...

I had a very brief interest in VST's then realized that hardware is so much more inspiring for me.

I don't use softsynths at all now...only hardware.

And I don't agree about VA's being obsolete. My ION sounds fanstastic, and is more fun to use than any plugin (which is a slave to the operating system which supports it)

  • Good luck on finding a Softsynth that really sounds like a mini moog or has the depth and warm of discrete circuits or the lighting fast envelope and modulation response as you can find in a fully modular system. The facts of technology still remain yes Integrated circuits are great and have revolutionised the world but they are far slower than discrete circuits, which BTW the A6 does not possess.

  • in this time and this place - analog for the win! in the future, who knows? :) It will take years until the level of computing power and software sophistication will get to the point to where I'd consider going all virtual... but even then I dunno. I am a gear nerd. I get a nerdy little hard on for metal enclosures and sturdy potentiometers, and piles of cables everywhere.

  • I think you are thinking too much about processing power, which os not the only factor. For software synths to surpass real analog synths there needs to be a big change in the way the code that makes them is produced.

Synths are also the same as real instruments - the variation between the different materials and components different manufacturers use creates something unique, of which a massive part is the audio signal path, which with soft synths has no variation for a given user.

  • hence why i mentioned increased software sophistication... some developers are already working on code that will more accurately emulate the actual sound of voltage and other factors that give them their distinctive sound. given enough time, they will be able to pretty much nail the sound.... I think.

  • @VincentsVideoVisions

I guess I'm one of the last hardware holdouts then, as I will never prefer vst's over the experience/sound of hardware, especially vintage hardware.

The problem with softsynths is that they are tied to an operating system, which, down the line may not support it anymore.

  • @SPAZZOID100 I completely agree with you that hardware is hands-down better than software right now, and definitely more inspirational to work with. Producing music solely on a computer sucks. My only point is that computing power is just going to get better and better, and these vst's are just gonna get better and better, and I'd daresay that we are very near or at the point in which vst's SONICALLY sounds as good as if not better than most synths, just not nearly as fun to program or use.

  • @SPAZZOID100 In other words, if you have the money to support a solely hardware setup, I think that you'll have more fun and be more productive than working solely on a computer, unless you're the new new school kid with bootlegged software and no money to invest. Certain VST's sound damn good these days!

  • 1.59.

no vst could even come close

  • love it 5*

  • at 3:07, it sounds like a vince clarke patch

  • beautiful organic sound....no wonder analog will never die.

while all the japanese companies are churning out romplers (roland/korg, etc) we have this beautiful alesis...this is going to be my next buy...real analog, real intense...the most powerful analog synth: 16 parts, 16 voices.

  • Hmmm... yeah, like pianos or violins didn't last either.

  • comparing this synth and those 2 are very different things.

im sorry to disapoint all you hardcore fankids but the adromeda is not going to be one of the main instruments in music for the next 100 years like the piano or violin was,

its not revolutionary enough to the music scene,

I mean even though its the most powerful analog synth ever analog has already been around for a good 30 years,

  • @sdafsar

piano is pretty boring these days...It's just one sound. I can get many more textures with a synth

  • @SPAZZOID100 dont be ignorant, a piano in the right hands is capable of millions of variations of nuance, timbre, dynamics, articulation, etc....Analog may be the best synthetic sound, but acoustic is still the best sound.

  • @brosephjames

That may be true, but piano is NOT being used that way i'm afraid. One listen to the radio's "current" pop music will confirm this.

In today's simplistic musical times, I seriously doubt a piano will be really put to it's creative test.

  • @SPAZZOID100 In pop yes , but there are plenty piano heavy acts out there !

  • @Flipjunkie1

right..like COLDPLAY, perhaps the lamest "rock" band in the last 20 years!

  • @SPAZZOID100 Your upset that POP music doesn't have much piano in it anymore yet you think coldplay is lame ? You might not like coldplay but piano is def being put to the creative test there ! Tori amos may be another you think is "lame" but the talent is there ! so u meant its not being put to the test in your specific taste of music . sorry the Jonas brothers don't play much piano .

  • @Flipjunkie1

First off...Coldplay is nothing more than "U2 Lite" with some piano thrown on top.

The majority of their songs cycle 2 or 3 chords for 5 minutes with little or no variation in structure or melody.

So, yes...I consider them lame. If this is the best rock has to offer, we are in pretty bad shape.

Same goes for current mainstream hip hop..it's been in the doghouse for many years now.

Tori Amos I have no issues with. She's a unique artist.

  • @SPAZZOID100 Thank's for explaining yourself cause at first i just thought you were trying to be ignorant . But remember just because they are not mainstream does not mean that they aren't the best there is to offer ! Cuz there are a lot of life changing act's that go unnoticed by mainstream culture . And your right ! a lot of new rock and hip hop has almost a plastic feel to it . That's another reason i listen to electronic music more now day's !

  • @Flipjunkie1

Me too...Underground electronic music is where it's at.

That being said, I cant mess with Trance, Drum N Bass, or techno.

    I favor soulful/funky stuff.

  • @SPAZZOID100 Yes Sir i too love that soulful funky deep house shit but i love the hell out of some trance though too . I like dnb a lot but i don't really listen to it much anymore . but your right ! there's nothing like a funky bass line and that deep Kick to make a happy day !!!

  • and I never said I didn't like the way it sounded,

all I said was that people in the future were gonna think that it sounded pretty lame,

but if you want you can be like all the medieval dumb asses who were convinced that the sword was never going to die, and that it was the ultimate weapon go ahead

  • What, is the sword dead? You talk through your ass, how can sound in analog form die out by time? It's different sound and you can pretty much do anything with this synth so why should it die. You think there will come a VSTi that will in digital form kick analogs ass? That's like saying some day there will come a condom that will make sex better than the real thing without a condom. It will never happen, all VSTi do is wrap effects around it to compensate for it's lack of warmth and frequensy.

  • hahaha

  • yeah, id take someone on with a sword if I had a gun. Id win too. And I never said anything about digital or VST. Your probably one of the worst of the fankids, half of that was just random assumptions. Those will probably die too I mean nothing lasts forever thats all I was trying to say in the first place before everyone got mad, I dont even think its a bad synth lol...

  • Doubt its gonna be a joke, listen to Vangelis's synths, they sound better today than they did in the 70's and make todays synths look like tellytubby toys producing shit noises.

  • This is truly a modern masterpiece synth and perhaps one of the last true analog serious poly synths - unfortunately they are a dying breed. Analog wil live on - just perhaps not in mega, 16 voice, poly synths.

  • Lets hope not. The majority of synth players have a desire for analog again. Who knows if the companies will feel the same way...

  • It sounds very digital to me......ím not kidding..Both Oscillators and Filter

  • That sounds very cool!

  • The A6 is maybe the most versatile synth out there. It can do reasonably good emulations of old american and japanese synths.

But its not eazy to program

  • it also put alesis out of business, and then numark bought it.

  • actually the renewed interest in analog is enabling the sales of andromeda again...so alesis started production again in 2008.

  • @lavakava no they didnt? did they? where did u get this info cause i cant seem to find any such proof. I was going to buy one of these of off ebay or sumthin. A reply would help. Thanks

  • @TheDLovas

mate, they did from 2008 onwards and discontinued it again. but a lot of places have new in stock.

  • @lavakava oh, haha thanks for the quick reply.

  • Ultra FAT!

  • This real monster can scream the more fatter sounds ever created, with real analogic engine and digital control, simply unique, jewel.

  • i didnt realize the ribbon on it was that big ... i could tie me mother in law up with summat that big

  • Muy buenas secuencias.....wow...

  • seriously phatt! showtek uses this in their studio..

  • absolute fenominal!!!!!

  • I recently bought one. For sure, this is the best synth ever made. 2 Osc's for each voice ( 16 voices )! the simultaneous arp+ sequence is just an invention waited to be made. Alesis did it. True Analog synth with digital controlling. but the sounds are pure analog. I doubt there'll ever be a similair synth made like this, which isn't build for preset-fags. This synth is made to program the best out of it. not just browsing the presets. ( DJ Tiesto uses this synth for anout 90% of all his songs)

  • homophobe

  • remember the soundquality isn't that great on youtube. I actually own one and it truly sounds analog, I can assure you.

  • @pbmikey1984

God this is sooo true. The amount of people who talk like an authority on a synth and when I ask where did you hear it, they say, "youtube"

What - The highly compressed youtube? Im sure every synth ever made even a PSR yamaha keyboard with speakers sound similar. Music like all the TVs at curry's all look the same as there all fed from the same ariel.

That said, great video and thanks for the up

  • what kind of piano do you have?

  • This is the shit. Thanks Alesis. :D

  • der hat ja mehr bums als ich dachte!

  • how much do they cost? I WANT ONE :'(

  • £2,000 i think :(

  • £1500 at turnkey at the moment, £1000 ish second hand off ebay

  • thought turnkey went into administration. thanks for the info tho :)

  • I thought I read the same about a year ago, website still up and I bought a little phatty off them a few weeks ago, so it would appear someone is still running the show whether it be administrators or the original dudes

  • After a little digging, turns out the Turnkey name and website got sold to P.M.T in Southend on Sea. Not the original Turnkey, but they are the best price on most things at the moment, DV can't touch them.

  • Ah nice to see that they haven't completely gone of the radar - DV I think have a better reputation in the pro audio world - just brought a triton extreme for £500 off of DV 6 months ago, lovely stuff :) which i got this now lol

  • Wish* not which lol

  • looking at turnkey websiteagain, they are now £2500 :o I am 100% positive they were £1500 a few weeks ago, even discussed with them on phone, I considered buying one but I only had 850 max without going into debt, wich is not a good idea at the moment...bit miffed :(

Yeah I do see what you mean about the old turnkey, I was quite shocked when the guy who I spoke to actually seemed to know his stuff....was considering a mono Evolver keyb, he convinced me to save for poly and get the phatty.

  • i was also after one recently, and i think alesis have started manufacturing new units, cause theyre now going for 2500 new uk , and about a few hundred less in the states. What a bummer.

  • yes I noticed that as well, shameful considering they haven't changed the os in how many years?

That is the only thing that puts me off buying one, I don't expect any bugs whatsoever in a synth of this price.

  • especially considering you could get second hand prophet 8/poly evolver and maybe even most of the money for a voyager for that price.

  • Ive already got a voyager, and this would have been the icing on the cake. Im not too kene on the prophet 08, as at 1500 retail its too much for something that actually sounds quite thin. theres some cost cutting going on in there, and it sounds noticably thin compared to a lot of older stuff like my ob-8

  • I would be inclined to agree, however I want one of everything, just to make sure I've got every angle covered. what's wrong with that?

  • sounds cool.

  • White Zombie intro to "More Human than Human"?

  • Sorry ... this was for Qiwolf !

  • big sound!!!

  • Maybe for a digital workstation...but not for an Analog synth...Analog is all about that "sound" and the personal experience, not how many grooves and presets its got.

  • 'Not what synth can, but what human can do with it' ;)

  • Your comments are just malicious and ignorant...This synth is very capable and has many talents. There are many people who covet this synth and many reputable users such as Klaus Schultze! There is a cult following for this great synth as there should be...is it perfect and without fault? , no...what is? this is a great and unique digitally controlled analog synthesizer with a pure analog signal path...and sounds fantastic. 16 voice analog 16 part multitimbral amazing.

  • well it still is unbeatable for some sounds

  • Out of curiousity what tops this synth? I just got a poly evolver and was looking at this. If you have any ideas or could point me in a direction for Analog synths in this price range that would be great ...thanks.

  • I grew up around a mini-moog...

and was there for the first Nord...

The A6 smokes both....The Tempo- clock is a pain to work with but it makes up for it with controls and power:)

  • Some can never get over the classics. Its gotta be old and/or expensive or its not good enough for em. Musicians ? No, just nostalgia freaks ... Back in the early 80's Roland was that cheap & nasty brand- 303, 909, Juno etc...

  • Something trouble me, someone know about please explain to me why if Alesis make cheap and unexpensive products the Andromeda is considerated a masterpiece, please reply.

  • Alesis does not make cheap inexpensive products, you are probably seeing them price cut old products to make way for new. Your thinking of the brand called Behringer who actually use cheap parts such as trasistors, capacitors and opamps that companies like Alesis would never do. Behringer is cheap.

  • Such a beautiful machine.

  • While all of these arp and step seq patterns are good, none of these really shows the potential of the Andromeda. Do not trust the sound of the presets to be THE sound of the Andromeda. I have spent A LOT of time refining sounds and trust me, none of the old analogs can do what the Andromeda does, with its HUGE modulation matrix

  • I believe you. Now i want one more than i wanted a Matrix 12.

  • very good sounndd

  • the access virus is such a flawed piece of kit simply cause until the recent polar, theyve NEVER got it to work "properly" for want of a better phrase. i always found it amusing that with all the novation gear, nords et al still very much around, people always beeline the virus...its VERY overrated and not cheap either.

this blows ALL v.a.s out of the water without even trying...a classic already for those "in the know" :-D

  • Be careful buying these things online; I thought I was lucky because I snagged one off eBay for only $2000 INCLUDING shipping, then it gets to me, in box, still got the factory plastic on it and I thought wow why didn't they mention it was new in the auction? Well it must have been a b-stock because after a couple months chips inside of it took a crap. It went completely wonky onstage during a live show and embarrassed the heck out of me :( SO BE CAREFUL! Other than that, WONDERFUL SYNTH.

  • What do you mean wonky? If you mean going out of tune, then it's typical for analogues.

  • Something similar happened to me when I bought one off eBay. It was completely busted.

I stopped fucking around and bought a new one.

Lesson learned. Never buy a used analog synth...

  • well i dont agree i got mine 2nd hand for 1500 e i went to the guy to test EVERYTHING and it was ok and still his. U can buy 2nd hand but for complex things like the A6 u have to go THERE first and check and check and more check :-)

  • Dayumm

  • I love that arpeggio at 6:55.

  • This just proves that this thing can blow many a classic analogue synth right outta the water. Access virus, run away, because this thing will eat you with the single press of a key.
