Richard already knows the words of the book of counted shadows in the book. Also there is no painter in the books. It's a crap subplot. I'm woefully unimpressed with it.

Yeah, I kinda agree, he would have been a more interesting character and villain if he had a few more layers like that... but he's kinda... predictably evil. =\

Still, I like him in the capacity of the stories bad guy better then others, and I actually like the actor too, so I guess that's enough. ^^;
