Sure wish I could find more of Ola Belle on here. I am totally in love with her music! Ola Belle's Blues would be a fantastic addition. but I am guessing her family is smart and protecting their heritage nd not alowing public publishing of her works.....but OMG I love that womans music!!!!
Very cool to see my Aunt Ola Belle on youtube. Ola Belle was my frandmother Zella's sister. Too bad I didn't get to know her because she was sick from a stroke when I met her and was confined to a bed.
Mama used to sing this song when I was younger, forgot all about it until I saw an episode of Justified the other day. I nearly jumped out of my chair. I really sent me back.
@Cce2902 I also heard this on Justified. Mags is one of my favorite characters and watching her singing this song after just making the deal with Black Pike. What a great show where clips of songs music, only 5 or 6 seconds in length, get people interested in finding about different music.
just discovered Ola Belle Reed last night at 2 am actually searching for new music and fell in immediately! this song and Ola Belle’s Blues kept me up all night!

I like it immediately, with the beautiful banjo intro... These feelings are so universal... nice how she puts the plaintive lyrics down... "high on a mountain, standng all alone, wonderin where the years of my life have flown..." bittersweet sorrow at at its best.
I especially liked when the sculpture started spinning at 2:23. I wondered if those digits had significance to the artist because the artwork STOPPED spinning at 2:31.
beautiful song!!!like the art
