  • I can't tell you how many times I've been talking to someone who straight-up pulls out their phone and starts checking messages and texting in the middle of our conversation Then they try to respond to me in this halted, distracted voice... I have to keep a straight face like my opinion of them has not gone to shit even though it has.

  • hulk,bartman

  • Can I not assume that perfect stranger simultaneously breaking wind on cell phone and with eyeballs fixated upon me has somehow included me in on the conversation? Dominate me I love it.

What about that hands free "insect" these patients wear on thier ear..."Hello, Morning" who you talking to as you pass by?

Tell someone to shut up, and being told not to interrupt thier private conversation ( in restaurant).

These little toy devices are no marker of social status; but rather, social trash.

  • It says a lot about the state of American Culture when you can't enjoy: public transportaion, restaurants, parks, college libraries etc without having to endure the kind of trash who impose themselves on others. I Paid for the use and enjoyment of this Train ride, food etc...not the likes of you and your damn toy, which are not on the menu.

These kind of people used to be in prisons and mental wards; now they run around and annoy others in public.

  • All i can say is that why i have a yapper zapper :). google it!

  • My rules:

    1. Strangle any self obcessed asshole using a cellular when they are driving.

    2. Shoot any self important pricks using their phones when in a in person conversation with me.

    3. Stab any annoying loud teens with stupid annoying "hip" ringtones on public transport.

  • 4. if you are texting someone you are sitting right across just turn the phone off and just speak to them, it's very sad the only conversation you can have with a person is to either emailing them or texting them and shushing you if you try to speak to them

  • here's my rules:

    1. If you are in public and the cellphone rings pick a spot to either stand in place or sit down, walking while talking on a cellphone is dangerous if you live in a capital city

    2. when you are driving put the cellphone on vibrate and don't answer it, then once at your destination check to see who called you and text back before getting out then be on your way

    3. Never answer your cellphone during a conversation or a family get together

  • OMG THATS MY HOUSEE!!!!!!!

  • 11+ people don't like cellphone etiquette. :)

  • For their own good, everyone should view this video, especially Step 1. Unfortunately, consideration and common sense do not come naturally to some people.

  • omg, cell phones, on planes??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME lololol i didnt even know people were considering that! I fly 6 times a year every year, and if I had to spend that 3 hour flight listening to a plane full of people talking on thier cell phones, i think i'd jump out.

  • wtf? people don't just walk away from a conversation to ansnwer their phones? but if you're talking to someone and you answe i don't see anything wrong with making it quick, also why are they telling us what we can have as a ringtone? the only valid rule to follow in this whole video is to not talk while driving, lets get real people!

  • I mean drive whilst on your phone, lol

  • In England it's illegal to talk and drive on your phone

  • we a person excuses him or herself from the table to answer a call is pretty polite i have never been with a person who has done that.

  • Siiighh I know the rules but sometimes I get so heated I raise my voice. Especially when people say stupid things. THE HULKK.

  • I LACK COMMON SENSE WHAT DO I DO

  • people on the road can turn an LOL into a great big OMG ...

  • 1:52 FTW!

  • Classic. I was trying to date a woman and I'm sure she was trying to show off how many friends she had, pretty sad now I look back. She asked me for my number tho'. But the paper she gave me to write it on had another guy's number, gave me mixed messages - either trying to make me jealous or telling me to hike. But it always annoyed me her phone ettiquete. I'd blame myself as if I wasn't interesting enough (maybe) but it's just plain rude to be honest. I showed respect, gimme it back.

  • My friend needs to watch number 9.

  • i was once at the movies with some friends, & like DURING the movie there were like 3 people in the row in front of us texting.

    it was so distracting!

  • Duh don't talk on the phone in the car unless you have a bluetooth; it's ILLEGAL

  • not in most areas..but I would go against bluetooth too

IT too will make it easier to start a car accident

  • how so?

  • head set, or holding a cellphone

the persons attention will be taken away

and when driving a person needs 100% OF ALL THEIR ATTENTION. The cellphoone will use half of it.

    This has been proven.

Yet the use of cellphones is too popular for people to care.

  • He needs to raise the pimp hand on her!

  • @MeltnButta more resons to leave

  • darn i dont hav common sence and my consideration is almost empty and i can only get more in yugoslavia unless i wanna pay 400 buxxa lb!

  • that guy was really cute

  • i know!

who cares about a new voicemail if he's around?

  • A lot more people need to have cell phone etiquette. Most people could give a care less about others around them. I especially get frustrated when people come into my work place and ignore me while I'm trying to take their order because they are talking on their phone.

  • YES.

    UGH.

I waitress, and I hate it when someone is on the phone. "Oh yes, I'm ready to order."

    /ring

"Oh no, no, stay here. Just one second."

  • AniyuWolf,OMG I know what you mean! People are rude as hell when they come up to you at the counter too. They'll be on it through the entire time they've been in line, they get up to the counter, chatting away about the most intimate/personal bullshit nobody wants to hear, and they're SPEAKING LOUDLY about it as if they forget where the hell they are.Ha!I was even at a sub shop one day and they had a sign that said "we will not disturb you while on the phone" I lmao.

  • @ManaStar do you work at jack in the box?

  • @ManaStar lol. where do you work? McDonalds?

  • Sad part is most people who are using these cell phones like that don't have common sense, and nothing isgoing to change them.

  • Well, its illegal to use your phone while driving in England.

Everyone still does it, though, lol

  • Please don't chatter on your phone while in line at the grocery store or while at a table in a restaurant.

  • This really wouldn't work for me....If I ignored\turned off my texts and didnt answer them, id have people beyond number furious with me...Plus alot of projects\work I have involves constant back and forth communication with people I cant be around very much

  • dude was about to get laid and the phone!

  • Has anyone broken up with someone due to their cellphone habits?

  • if my dad is picking me up somewhere he will be on the phone for like 30 mins before he starts the car again it pisses me off.. he never say s"hey do you mind if i call you back later??"..

  • Most people are so fucking rude with the cells, most people do not have common sense.

  • My ex was a bitch about texting she always texted when she was with me no matter what, fights, emotional talk, SEX!!!, and even when were together for once in a week we rarely saw each other. Bitch wasn't worth my time.

  • people are HORRIBLE with phone etiquette. just completely oblivious assholes.

  • I think i depends if ur a good driver

  • how does hands free cause collisions? its just as if someone is talking in the car with you...

  • distractions.....

  • from the hands free? or just the fact that something is in your ear? i think that may be kinda irritating lol.

  • with hands free though, you still have to dial the call or look down and press recieve or whatever. voice activated is best.

  • bullshit!

  • I hate it when Im talking to someone, and they're texting when Im talking! Ugh it bothers me so much!

  • Me too!! And it is obvious they aren't listening to me... which bugs me. I feel unimportant because they can't take the time to listen to what I have to say. They are in another convo. If they were face to face with that person, I would be completely drowned out.

I am a great friend -- but for some reason I don't get that back. oy

  • yea, exactly!

I dont do that, ever, in front of them. So why should they do it to me? And I dont even use my phone that often! If they dont have time for me, then I shouldnt make time for them. It's completely rude, I dont get why people think that's okay to do. But yea, I agree with you!

  • if they avoid you like that... avoid them the same way. If your a great friend, and they treat you like that... they obviously arent your friends. Just bringing the negative point in it.

  • thanks!

    =)

  • no problem.

seving the youtube community... since ...umm... today?

  • that guy looks like a wimp around 1:10

  • They always check their phones, But will never answer when you call them. >_>

  • oh yes in chruch i turn off my cell phone or silent

  • I know a friend who could need to hear this x3

  • You should of done something on texting. When I'm around my friends, they are always texting which can get very annoying.

  • My cousin always texts when we are doing anything and tell me to hold on. I mean I used to be big on texting not so much anymore

  • They forgot "you will need a cellphone" :P

  • amen haha

  • Nothing like chatting away on the phone during Sunday mass.

  • You just killed me there. Too funny.

  • sometimes when im speaking to someone their phone will ring or they will get a txt message and they will reply to those immediately, so im stading there thinking, maybe i should have just called you instead to speak about this ¬¬"

  • I allways call ex-girlfriends when i'm drunk. once i even called a wrong number, but i still said i loved her so she laughed and said : its cool but you dialed the wrong number...

damn! I wish I was drunk right now...

  • Yea I would end the date if the cell phone was more important.

  • Why is it that in most videos like this, its always an iPhone?

I mean, not everyone has one. ._.

  • I know, it kind of annoys me.

  • Yeah and it's always a blonde white female

Not every1 is one of those either

  • my guess is that the screen is one of the biggest out there, so it makes it easy to videotape and see what is going on.

  • i have a co-worker and damn she is annoying because every time her cellphone

rings or gets a text while talking to anyone she immediately lets you hold on while she replies the text sometimes she evens walks away without telling you and she is like that with everybody even with our boss i rarely talk to her now because she basically ignores everybody

  • people constantly texting when you are talking to them is annoying

  • I hear yah man. My ex did that all the time >.>

  • haaawtttt

  • omg....what a hottie

  • I hate cellphones. They just block normal person-to-person comunication. And I hate when you're on a date a the girl puts the cell on the table and attends every f***g call or text message. Once it happened and she said could you excuse me? standed up and went to the bathroom to chat. Ten minutes later I paid the waiter and got away. It's so easy to turn that shit off.

  • I like phones, but i agree when it comes to dates and just being with others. I like calling people, cus they're normally far away, but not when i'm with others.

btw, did you ever hear from that girl again?

  • Yeah I gave a second chance and we got along for a while.

  • hehe, she must have felt bad, huh

  • Yep, definitely hate when girls answer every call/message on the first few dates.

  • It's illegal to drive using a phone in the UK

  • Same in California.

  • I think they're showed how to do just about everything....so this stupid stuff is all that is left.
