  • Hmmmm the Mixer and Red Crowns were pretty solid pins durability wise and they always scored pretty well. We used to have two sets and rotate them. I remember our first set of Flyers (talk about a crummy pin) failed and we stuck the Mixers back in until we could get replacement wood.

  • Very unusual to see the pins mixing like that during this match because this is back when Brunswick made their own bowling pins and could not make a decent bowling pin to save their life...The pins used that day were known as the Brunswick "Red Crown". (Notice the red crown on the belly of the pin) Aside from Brunswick's biggest disaster bowling pin ever made the "Mixer" the Red Crown comes in at a close second for the biggest P.O.S. that Brunswick has ever made....

  • Thanks for posting! If you happen to have the 1983 Cleveland Open where Norm Duke won his first PBA title (at age 18) could you post it please? I would appreciate it :D
