How do you discern a healthy ego in a Pastor. Obviously God has placed leaders according to His Word in Eph 4 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry. Leaders usually think differently, approach things differently live differently and have to be able to inspire and delegate if the church is going to grow and be in order.
i gave u the chance but you are boring it is frustating because it is very important issue one thing that i notice in must congregations is that most women are troublemakers not matter how perfect a church is Why women go to the church ? It is a ministery for me
There's a book you might have read called "Healing Spiritual Abuse" by Ken Blue. One of the chapters in the book deals with what he calls the "Messianic Narcissist" type of spiritual abuser. It pegged my former pastor, Dr. Gene Scott, as though he was watching him while writing it. Your description does the same. He has gone on to whatever reward he had coming, and left the church to his 40 years younger widow, who continues the same spiritual abuse.
wow I am so glad I found your site. This describes my ex-pastor Dale Smith. He could never, never be wrong. He has been the cause of several people attempting suicide. The Np is king of his little kingdom, and can not be challenged!
I think you homed right in on a characteristic that seems to set these people apart - whther they gravitate to churches or not: when they sense you're not buying it, whatever way your concern manifests will be turned into a weapon against you. Inconvenient doing-what-your-told becomes disobedience; their untrustworthiness becomes YOUR hurtful lack of trust; their culpability becomes YOUR deserved guiltiness. Catch them in a clumsy lie and YOU "have a memory problem". They're astonishingly adept.
Two - but knowing the first one, in my personal life, I spotted the second one easily. I stayed out of her way for years till she became the boss of our department. Then it wasn't so easy to avoid interacting, and she began to notice I had "made" her. Which instantly made me a target except on days when it was more convenient to make me her best buddy. We used to call it "instant amnesia syndrome". My advice - document and date everything, especially casual encounters!
Just because a pastor is in a church doesn't automatically mean he "annointed by god" to be there. I once saw a church start out very humbly in peoples homes. Then a group of self appointed "elders" began taking authority to run it. They "heard from god" that a member should be pastor. Within a few years most of them did very unchristlike things. Including that they gave themselves huge salaries from the tithes and offerings and had nice homes when the members could barely feed their families.
Sister, It is good to see you come out of that foolishness with your sanity in tact. God is good in spite of these people.
I know this experience has worked together for your good. You seem confident in who Jesus is and who he is not, which is oh so necessary for these last and evil days as wicked men and seducers are waxing worse and worse.
We must continue to watch, pray and sound the alarm. Thank you for sounding the alarm.
This is so true and I've seen it first hand.

Well maybe the links will prove to be more interesting. I did like my "Leaving a cult" video. It was a little slow starting but effective.
