I give one reason Sephiroth surpassess Kefka. The fact Kefka is actually DEAD. But Sephiroth has, can, and will return. For all his godly power Kefka is gone forever, but the One Winged Angel could possibly come back infinite times. If Dirge did one thing it showed us Jenova Cells, or close enough, still exist since Hojo couldnt use the unpure Nero or those who had suffered from Geostigma. Plus in human forms SOLDIER 1st Class beats clown anyday. God of Magic against Safer Sephiroth...tough call

But he hasn't pulled off what Kefka has. Sephiroth killed maybe, a town of people. Kefka took out half (Or all? I forgot.) of the planet. Sephiroth is badass, but Kefka actually pulls off what he was planning.

They didn't change it per se, they just added another version of it. You can either go all the way down (Aerith-killer style) or stop before you hit the ground, it's for the sake of gameplay.

Bullshit, everyone argues that either Sephiroth or Kefka are the best, but allow me to point this out.

Emporer Palamecia from FF2 attempted to do what BOTH Sephiroth and Kefka attempted to do, with the addition that when he failed, he conquered Hell, brought it up to the planet and attempted to do it all over again. Sephiroth may be a hardass, but no-one will EVER beat Palamecia.

The attack at 0:15 is one of the most reconisable attacks ever, but has only been seen used by sephiroth in kh2, flash. He didn't use it in the ff7 series, so why the hell have they put it in, it doesn't make any sense???

As for Lance Bass as Sephiroth, at the time I felt that he did a good job, though I'm POSITIVE that if he had any speaking roles, it'd be AWFUL. He sounded pretty menacing, and I hadn't really imagined Sephiroth with such a deep voice at the time. Now it does seem weird though. I still think "No more games, show me what you've got!" is an awesome line!

it looks like heavens light is a new move.

and like beserkchip said, they fixed Hell's Gate so it can be inturuped so you dont constantly fall into the map floors and loose precious brave. Heartless Angel can also be cancled in case the enemy gets close, and scantilla (i think its called that) can be used in the air.

they also added some new flashy effects for his attacks like the sword blur when he does hell's gate.

if I'm not mistaken, hell's gate became quite useless in the demo. sephy will jump and then only stop from where he started. in the japanese version you can drag your enemy all the way down the ground. it's way more powerful even though you can't stop falling.

Those who have played the demo will know just how much they fixed Sephiroth. No more lag with brave attacks, Prison Gate isn't useless anymore, and the second part of the ground beam blade attack homes in. No more going under people and missing. And don't even get me started with the upgrades to Heartless Angel.

Lastly, I consider George Newberne to be an upgrade in and of itself.
