He is great and he is doing a perfect R, which is not simple for an English native speaker. Anyway at 0:28 I was just wondering WHY, if America is so infested by Italians, they can't find some REAL Italian to translate the things they wont him to say in correct Italian... he says "No capisce", and it should be "Non capisco".
its an accent you get with the area they come from. Dialect they call it. Like Chilean Castellano and Spain Español. They say "como estas?" we say either "Co' tay?" - quick "como estay?" - typical or "quiubo?" - typical chilean
so sicilians (who i know from all the italians and sicilians that i know aren't commonly considered or don't typically consider themselves italian. Most frequently identifying themselves as Sicilians, as if it were a separate country) speak the same way as to mainland Italy?
Hi, I am Italian. Italy has twenty regions and each region has its own regional language totally different from standard Italian (Sicilian, Venetian, Sardinian etc). When we speak standard Italian (no matter if we are able to speak our regional language or not...), we often use regional words, regional grammar, and we all have strong local influences....so Sicilians Lombards Calabrians etc, do not speak standard Italian the same way...
@petarklepac ...DAI, MA QUESTI SONO LUOGHI COMUNI...IO SONO DI PALERMO, M NELLA MIA FAMIGLIA PARLIAMO ITALIANO, Nè PALERMITANO, Nè SICILIANO....CERTO, L'ACCENTO NON è DI CERTO FIORENTINO, PERò QUELLO DEI DIALETTI è UN LUOGO COMUNE!
Quello che volevo dire è che senza accorgersi usiamo regionalismi (sia strutture che parole)..sono sicuro che anche tu, come me, lo fai. Ma è normale...
@leftovaz In Italy there are 20 regions and each regions we speak a different dialect or idiom. ( venetian, sicilian, ect.) Normally We speak italian but sometimes in southern italy people speak their regional dialect more than italian. But every region has a different dialcet which influences the standard italian.
I agree. I mean obviously he's only a kid so his acting aint AMAZING but he did do quite well with the Italian, considering. Being part Sicilian (My paternal grandparents are from Patti) I know that the accents vary a little. What Sicily is to Italy is what Wales is to England.

I'm Italian, as far as I know it's not an accent, but just a grammatical error.
This doesn't mean he is less amazing! :)
