Awesome even at the end for both of them, each ideals of both their kind. They were paired MANY times together in the big houses of the world in Aida, Forza & Trovatore for a quarter of a century. They played beautifully & sympathetically together everytime I saw them. She brought out his gentle, tender side & he her strength, vulnerability to a degree others did not not always do so. He was a tornado onstage with great vocal power & intensity. She was a lioness with unique vocal beauty & calm.
