Lilah is my absolute favorite character in Angel, she's the only reason I have any respect for Wes. But I love how everyone thinks she's a bitch (I mean she is, don't get me wrong) and yet she was the only one who was actually there for Wes, when his friends abandoned him. Me thinks the real bitch is the Texas twig stringing him along the entire time

I like WL but they are nowhere near my OTP! They seem so minor to be that! I respect the fact that you have made so much of such a short lived and tragic relationship! My OTP is Spuffy, so same universe!!! I also love Chair, Cangel, Delena, and Clois! We ship a lot of the same! We totally need some Lexana in season 10! lol! Great vid!
@brunettespacecadet99 Spuffy are my OTP too, but you have to realize that WL are hardly minor to someone who loves both Wesley & Lilah as characters as much as Julie does. Wesley is one of the most crucial characters in Buffyverse so his true love relationship is a valid OTP. Plus its important to see Lilah's more vulnerable, soft side. She was always a great character, but this brought out her depth! I noticed the couples we tend to obsess over are pairings with our fave guy & Wes is Julie's :)

I think Fred treated him terribly. She had so many chances to choose him, but she didn't. In Habeas Corpses, after the rain of fire, she showed no care that he was alive, whereas Lilah called him a million times and rushed to his apartment, worried sick. Fred only went to him when she needed something. Weslah FTW lol :)

You can clearly see how devastated Wes was over Lilah's death too in the scene where he has to decapitate her, and he tells Fred he loved Lilah by saying "Its not always about holding hands" Maybe Wes always loved Fred(though I can't see how its love when they only had one meaningful conversation ever!), but I see nothing that shows that she truly loved him, so she can't be his true love
I think, that Wes simply idealized Fred. If they were together some time, he would understand that Fred is far from ideal, she is not so kind, innocent, infallible, as he thought before. He loved not Fred, but woman that he created. And he loved Lilah, because he knew her, the REAL her. Many people think, that Fred is his destiny, but I disagree.
