@The1200sportster o yeah watch nascar then it more boring than this and f1 nascar just go left left left for more than 100 fucken laps go watch that and see if f1 is boring or nascar
19sux29rox and irollgen4s2, you are both fuckin retards. I can watch both Super cars and Nascar, but both really are boring compared to the real men of racing, Moto GP, F1 and World rally.
@18sux29rox Funny, I find NASCAR puts me to sleep. Left. Left. Left. Left. Oh, some idiot crashed. Left. Left. Now four others have decided to join him. Left. Left.
I'll take the Supercars any day. The skill and entertainment are in not crashing.
@Prod1Kh at least NASCAR puts on good racing. And if you knew, NASCAR is the highest rated sport on television, most people havent even heard of this supercar stuff. But im just saying this , you can love it and all of australia can love and i have no problem with that, but i just dont find it entertaining.
@18sux29rox Good racing? You did read the bit about falling asleep, right? highest rated""- 300m Americans vs 22m Aussies...But who watches Nascar outside the states? V8s screen in Oz, NZ, SA and SEA.
There is a world outside the continental US, you know.
@Prod1Kh Do you hate Nascar? Because i dont hate v8 Supercar racing. Im just saying Nascar is screened in many many other countries. I happen to find an article in the NASCAR Illustrated about an Austrailian who watched and followed it from his country and came to america and ended up meeting a driver. Marcos Ambrose.
Max papis(italy), Juan Montoya(columbia), and many others from Canada run NASCAR.
@18sux29rox Do you read? I find NASCAR boring, I said so. (as it happens I find all oval racing boring). You compared it to V8s saying NASCAR does better racing and has nigher ratings. Now you say you're not into the hate business.
Yes and the V8s are screened in many, many countries. I live in SEAsia and Star Sports screen the V8s. Marcos Ambrose is an Australian driver. Hello.
@18sux29rox Ooh, you're ending this right now? Man, I am impressed. Especially with your declarative final statement.
Left, left, left, left, left, not surprised a racing series that requires only one skill is such a hit in the US. In the rest of the world we like to see a driver with the complete package. Go fast, stop, turn in two directions...
@Prod1Kh you know nascar gos to road courses too, they race in over 5 different road tracks. Unlike v8 supercars, in nascar there is also short tracks, superspeedways that hit over 205mph, and Intermediate tracks that range from 1 mile to 2.5 . So nascar drivers dont thrive on just turning left and pressing the gas. Your iggnorant.
@18sux29rox Oh man, really, over 5? So, what, they go to six?
It doesn't matter if it's a 2.5 super speedway like the Brickyard or a 1/4 mile dirt oval, I find all oval racing boring. I used to have trouble staying awake when the Champ Cars went to ovals and they were a lot faster than your silhouettes.
Aussie Touring Cars race on road courses and street circuits in four countries.
@Prod1Kh See you just said again that nascar makes you sleepy. Well go take a baby nap and stop whinning about this road course stuff being better than 200 mph 4 wide racing. Nascar takes far more talent then just turning left and right.
@18sux29rox So by your logic, consistently turning in one single direction, is more difficult then turning in two opposite directions in different orders? I respect nascar by all means, i know it certainly isnt easy. But if your looking for someone to respect your opinion then you need to respect theirs. Both Road racing and Oval racing are equally hard, just in different aspects.
@irollgen4s2 your exactly right. Both forms of racing have equal need of talent and work. But im just saying NASCAR is varied, they drive on road courses, superspeedways, short tracks from a half mile to 1 mile , and intermidiate tracks ranging from 1 to 2.5 miles.
But im glad your being repectful. Unlike other people
@sirwolf787 Paul Morris had just about the most bruised back it's possible to get without breaking your spine. His fire-extinguisher was knocked loosed and it smashed into the back of his bucket seat. Took him a little while, but he was back behind the wheel that same season.

That was Oran Park, I think in 2000. The track is gone now, suburbia has caught up and it's now being developed as a housing estate. :-(
longhairedlayabout 10 months ago
@longhairedlayabout quite sad that isnt it. plenty of bushland elsewhere and they have to get rid of a great race track

I must admit, witchdoctor, that american racing cannot be compared with australian,v8s,
they are both unique, and both equally entertaining!!i especially love the american superbikes they have balls of gold
But we dont get much coverage of the american v8s,in london or south africa,
have you any ideas how to keep up with it all. a website or a tv channel!!
JoLondonBurg 3 years ago 2
Thats not a small shunt!!!
Shit you gotta love the Australian V8s.
Great stuff.
By the way Aussie V8 racing is very very popular in South africa!!
Bathurst is amazing.
JoLondonBurg 3 years ago 2
Yeah, American V8's are great engines too. Aussie V8's are more balanced, but American V8's will always have massive torque.
