This song was first sung by GMWA I believe and credit for writing was Reverend Richard "Mr. Clean" White. Somehow he could always slip in a song at the workshop.
Paul Morton version is not a remake of this song. The Truthettes recorded version is with Frank Williams. Rev White did write this song and it was recorded by Greater St. Stephens in 1979 or 1980. Paul Morton recorded another version in the 90's.
I think the lil boy name was was jason i remember him playing with them when he was about four or five years old.
