I'm sorry to break it to you all but I do believe you are not supposed to pray for yourself and I'm also sorry to tell you that not everyones life is easy and sometimes you need to suck it up and deal with it. God obviously can not solve all of your little problems. Life is great, take your gift and enjoy your family, friends and time that you have on this earth because it is limited. It seems to me that ur idea of God is limited. If ur on this comment page, i assume u know something about tenth avenue north. i'd say u should listen to strong enough to save. in the song it gives a much bigger idea of God saying the one the wind and waves obey is strong enough to save. I have peace beyond understanding with the comfort that God is in control. God obviously CAN solve ur problems, but what would good does that do? it just bails us out,when we need to learn some things ourselves

He wants you to be that true person who really will help others and is not selfish. If you live for others you live for God as well. But it is possible to live for God and not others.

Then we will do what is best for all others. You're right to live for others too but it has to start from God and devotion to him, otherwise we can't care for others without any selfishness.

Once again, I truly could not agree anymore with what everybody has said about Tenth Avenue North. Here, "Empty My Hands" instills a powerful, effective message by God to those persons, who may have not yet happened upon love. I unfortunately fall into this bracket. Therefore in this case, God is a representation of strength, resiliency, courage, and optimism. With which, he instills onto one, who may feel that love is ideal as oppose to real. Love should be attainable by all. Thank you.
