  • yes, i find depression useful, informative AND inspiring. thank you.

  • @3:07, does he say 'fuck'? I cannot, in this limited character environment, explain how delighted I would be were that to have happened.

  • @raxachol Given the context, I'd say say sadly no.

  • Jonathan Miller, as always, is amazing. A rare combination of intellectual and artist, and a unique personality.

  • Jonathan Miller here reminds me of Prof. Lewis Wolpert, who has also spoken very sensibly about the experience of depression.

  • This is so articulate and sensitive a portrayal of depression, made all the more poignant and interesting by the fact that Dick Cavett suffered from anguishing depressions himself, something he wrote about in later years.

  • This man makes more sense than the priests, rabbis, and mullahs...

  • @ashy6793 Why compare him with priests, rabbis, or mullahs?

  • @82abhilsh

I compare him because he is atheist...Regardless, he makes more sense and he deserves my respect. I have no respect for the lies and nonsense that is being preached by human beings like you and me (the priests, rabbis, or mullahs) who claim to know how God wants us to live our lives.

  • @82abhilash I find this clip very useful, informative and inspiring. He's such a beautiful, eloquent man. And having suffered from depression (hasn't everyone? :) I find this clip particularly useful.

  • This isn't one of the better sketches by Peter Cook. Almost depressing.

  • @zorki28 Peter Cook? He has nothing to do with this. It is an excerpt from an interview with Dick Cavett. It is not a sketch.

  • @82abhilash way to get the joke

  • He's an amazing person.Cheers for sharing.

  • Ah, philosophy to endure the winter and boredom

and just too much emotional analysis
