Another great one and you do it justice. I like your Mandy a bit better than the guitar but just a bit. You being young and strong, you put a lot of power into your playing which is not a thing we hear much. I guess I'll go start packing and see if I can find my passport. LOL
Hi Jesse?? I hope that you find time to view this comment..First of all, thank you for posting these videos. You're extremely talanted. I have taken so much away from your videos..I grew up in Newfoundland, Canada where Irish/Newfoundland is a way of life. I purhcased a Mandolin..However,sources are limited when it comes to chord/strumming on the Mandolin for Irish music..your one of the few..It would be greatly appreciated if you could post instructional videos...wild rover, tks ...god bless
The "Right up your kilt" line isn't unique to Quebec, or even Canada. When I was living in Maryland, it was a standard audience contribution at both pubs and RenFaires alike. Definitely brings back some good memories for me!
About the refrain, I learnt this song from my Irish language teacher, she's from Belfast and said nothing about this refrain to us the students... In fact, it's because of you that I know about it, never heard it before, nor even in the Irish pubs I frequent here in Spain. But in my case, I guess it's 'cause I learnt it from Irish people. Being an Scottish song, that refrain sounds funny and quite appropriate :P
