With all the Astons, Lambos, Ferrari, GTR, Koeingsegg, Pagani Zonda, etc, you cant come with a 202 mph car and price it 375k US $ and say that is a supercar. You just can't!
Big disappointement from Toyota. I mean after 5-6 years of developpement they ended up with this. And please for those who compare the LFA to Lambo and Ferrari, I think you should get more knownledge in cars domain. A Lambo LP670SV cost 50 000 Euros less than a LFA and reach a higher top speed (213mph vs 202) and reach the 60 faster (in 3.2 sec). Looks more dramatic to. That`s what we call a supercar. Today the word supercar is abused. A Zonda is supercar. An Aston VantageV12 is a supercar.

GT-R ftw! Seriously, I like Lexus cars, but this one is more in the 120k+ range. 375000€ is from outa space! It's a lot more than for a Lambo or Ferrari with similar characteristics.
A Toyota for +$300,000 with no jaw dropping effect. It seems to me like the GT-R can perform as well if not better and for a lot less money. From an aesthetic perspective, both are on par with each other; nothing to brag about. A lot of the technology is derived from the F1 program but still is years behind the Ferraris or Lambos that have been producing super cars for decades. FERRARI will always be the standard in this segment.

If I have to gauge the car buy it's price, I would have to say that "This car sucks". I could buy a new house, new car, big screen tv, furniture and blah blah blah and a bunch of stuff I don't need for under $250,0000. The house would last me the rest of my life. A car? An overpriced, new car is the worst thing you could ever throw your money away on. How about this? 3 year old Lexus ES330 with about 17,000 miles in the paper yesterday for $19,000? Not a scratch on it, always garaged.
I dont think this car is being marketed towards Mr Average Joe Blow with 2 mortgages and a 40k job. Not to mention its a limited production model with few being made. The people who can actually afford to buy something like this are hardly concerned with the price tag.

354 ft/lbs of torque is in line with other supercars though. If you want torque go drive a semi. This engine is incredibly light, and without any stupid turbos it'll be nice and linear. The power is incredible for an engine this small.
The price for this is $370,000k. You would have to be insane to by this thing over a lp640, 599, 2nd hand slr, sls, 458italia. It just looks like a modern day supra. At the end of the day its just a lexus......nothing special.

375k i think is wayyy too much also. i agree that this car looks like a hypercar, but the thing is i dont think it is a reall hypercar.
i think it can compete with: bmw m5, or m6(delimited top speed) ferrari 430, audi r8, and all the cars that fall into that class, but 375k, is like murcielago price. and the murcielago can go up to 220mph so why price it soo high?
i dont care if there are only 300 or 500 made it shouldnt be that high) unless they are trying to trick all the rich people...

I'm not saying it,s not a great car. But for the price and the performance (which are great without comparaison with other super/hyper cars), there is much better. I mean we are in 2009 and this segment is so competitve. With all the Astons, Lambos, Ferrari, GTR, Koeingsegg, Pagani Zonda, etc, you cant come with a 202 mph car and price it 375k US $ and say that is a supercar. You just can't!

Big disappointement from Toyota. I mean after 5-6 years of developpement they ended up with this. And please for those who compare the LFA to Lambo and Ferrari, I think you should get more knownledge in cars domain. A Lambo LP670SV cost 50 000 Euros less than a LFA and reach a higher top speed (213mph vs 202) and reach the 60 faster (in 3.2 sec). Looks more dramatic to. That`s what we call a supercar. Today the word supercar is abused. A Zonda is supercar. An Aston VantageV12 is a supercar.

toyota will lose money on every LFA they'll sell. Because they made this car not to make a affordable supercar, but to test new technologies. they don't give a crap if you think it is too expensive. at 500 made, you most likely wouldn't get one even if you had the money and you wanted one

A Toyota for +$300,000 with no jaw dropping effect. It seems to me like the GT-R can perform as well if not better and for a lot less money. From an aesthetic perspective, both are on par with each other; nothing to brag about. A lot of the technology is derived from the F1 program but still is years behind the Ferraris or Lambos that have been producing super cars for decades. FERRARI will always be the standard in this segment.

I'm loving that these Japanese manufacters are building these kind of cars.. It's like when you had the choice of the Supra, RX7 and the 300ZX except there is a 150k pric diff between the LF-A and the GTR spec-v...I want to see wat Mazda brings to the table :D

I know that GTR is most new of the world-wide famous Skyline, from Nissan; and the NSX is the super sport car from Acura, the luxurius brand of Honda created originally for the north american market. If I have to gauge the car buy it's price, I would have to say that "This car sucks". I could buy a new house, new car, big screen tv, furniture and blah blah blah and a bunch of stuff I don't need for under $250,0000. The house would last me the rest of my life. A car? An overpriced, new car is the worst thing you could ever throw your money away on. How about this? 3 year old Lexus ES330 with about 17,000 miles in the paper yesterday for $19,000? Not a scratch on it, always garaged.

I dont think this car is being marketed towards Mr Average Joe Blow with 2 mortgages and a 40k job. Not to mention its a limited production model with few being made. The people who can actually afford to buy something like this are hardly concerned with the price tag.

The price is pathetic and it looks like a new model car. It lacks any type of established style, like a development where all the houses are exactly the same or a box of lego pieces. I just looked on the Porsche website for pricing. There are a few exclusive models (GT2, GT3, 911 Turbo) all with similar power and top speed. Some for "as little" as $112,000. Hells Bells man! Anything over $100,000 is nuts. So where does the $400,000 come from? You could buy new Porsches forever with $400,000...

look at the horrible red steering wheel, an audi r8 v10 would just out class, out perform, out handle, but not outprice this lexus :) i got a mix feeling about this, i got to admit it has got an amazing engine, a 4.8 v10 that revs to 9000rpm. it has got 10 individual throttle bodies - 1 for each cylinder! it make a nice sound too.. but is it worth that price? i certainly dont think so.. so lets wait for a car journalist/reviewer to find out weather this lexus is really worth that price tag..

354 ft/lbs of torque is in line with other supercars though. If you want torque go drive a semi. This engine is incredibly light, and without any stupid turbos it'll be nice and linear. The power is incredible for an engine this small.

The price for this is $370,000k. You would have to be insane to by this thing over a lp640, 599, 2nd hand slr, sls, 458italia. It just looks like a modern day supra. At the end of the day its just a lexus......nothing special.

The closer I look at it the more I dislike it. It looks a mess. The front is just mish mash of silly shapes and confusing lines It has no coherent design direction.
Whats even more un believable is how spectacularly they messed it up after making two gorgeous concept cars that were universally well recieved. Urgh. And the price? I know lexus are ambitious and everyhing but this is just silly. An ugly car that costs the same price as two murcialagos, and is slower. What are Lexus thinking?

Its more fucntionality than design. It achieves a drag coefficient of . 31. Every part of the body was engineered to do something like the mirrors wich was designed to tracki air into the intake ducts.

Really? Come on. The dash is cool I will admit. But it's expected from a Japaneses car. So not really that impress. The thing that most disappoint me is the exhausts which is tuned and im guessing to sound like the gallardo but it's as fake as a hooker's smile.
