1950s: Big Tobacco paid "experts" such as dentists & doctors to deny health harm from modern filtered cigarettes.
2010: The promoters of the proposed Dublin Bay incinerator paid $US 33 million to an insiders "consulting" company. The paid "expert" director from the consulting company denied ANY health effect from 'modern' Incinerators.

@SuperInSINerator Let me get this straight. You thought having a throwdown at the Aquarium would be a good idea? A baby whale died there this week, you jackaninny! Haven't you been paying attention to the news? Have some respect.
Alright. Enough of these hippies. I want to settle this mano a mano. I'm challenging the Cache Creek Landfill to a fight to the death in Stanley Park today at THREE!!!! Get ready to feel the burn SUCKAH!!!
@SuperInSINerator You want it? YOU GOT IT! I'm sick of your trash talking and it's time for you to get TRASHED!! You're gonna get BURIED under my fists of fury! Stanley Park at three it is!
@CacheTray Oh, it's on! Be ready to bring it because I'm going to bring it HARD! I'm leaving my house right now. Get ready for the beatdown in 2! Stanley Park. Don't be late!
I'm not going to say I'm against the incinerator outright because there could be a way to filter all the fumes right into the BC politician's homes so they can live in their own filth.
@ApolloEEE like....what exactly? at the moment as they failed to nicely mention of what they could do in the more effective way. Also so you know- the company that made this is the competitor of the company promoting incinerators. So in actuality they're just promoting what's going on now- they have no suggestions they're just saying that this isn't a good idea. So it's basically this or zippo. Which they conviently failed to mention.
@squirrelflight5 if you pay attention, they are not saying that the current solution is correct either. They are saying that it is in place, it has passed all enviromental tests and is ready to go and gives time to find better solutions. However, the current landfill has zero emissions, both leaching into the ground, the water and the air. So it is a pretty much perfect solution for garbage, for as long as we, as people, create it.
HA HA HAAAA! Metro Vancouver is going to vote me in! Get ready to SUCK IT, VANCOUVER!!!!

@SuperInSINerator Go away. Nobody wants you, and the people who say they do are only doing it because you're paying them to.

This is so spot on! Incinerators are not the answer and neither are landfills. We need to start considering some REAL solutions!
