It's nice, but I feel that if you want gore, you go for some of the character's other fatalities. Stryker, Freddy, Scorpion, Kung Lao... all should have used their normal fatality over the second one that you used.

Also, there are some much better gore-fests out there than ones you posted (like Shao Khan over Shang Tsung, etc)
