this from Solang Nallah some 20 km north of

Manali. New road being built up there. In some years a tunnel tru Pir Panjal and in 10 min yo'll be in Kokshar! Nowadays it takes 4-8 hours over Rhotang. Nice video...bring  back good memories.

There are still find mon khmer Kirat ethnic group in Himachal Pradesh.

@ajay4uind this Himalayas region from Himachal Pradesh,Nepal, Assam, Sikkim to Nagaland was known as Kiratdesa in ancient time. This is all referenced in Veda and other ancient texts. Kirat means Mongoloid in sanskrit. Later the migration/invasion of vedic Brahmins(Aryans) into the Himalayas region occurred.

Today we see vedic Aryan living side by side with Kiratas(mongoloid) in Nepal, Assam, Sikkim.

Although 30,000 doesn't sound much, it is a very small village. I hiked the baralacha la trek to over 5000m in 2005 and the scenery was breathtaking. Notably so was the Chandertal lake which was the purest thing ive ever seen on this earth. Great video, brought up a lot of good memories. Thanks

It's only popular because they make the finest Hashish in the world. They call it Charas. They export alot of it internationally and you can find it in every coffee shop in Amsterdam. (Probably Nepalese, which is of a lower quality)

The very best stuff is typically not sold outside of India and is consumed by themselves and the Sadhus which are Hindu practitioners which smoke alot of the stuff.

Manali is am AMAZING place, really. Natural beauty that takes your breath away. Just watch the vid.
