  • 哈哈, 我的最爱!

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) What can you "imagine" when listening to this song on a concorde at 38000 feets high?

    (2) What memory does this song recall you when listening in the air with amber sunshine?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • One of the most beautiful melodies/ chord progressions of all time.

  • ポールモーリアの有名なナンバーであるこの曲をフランス語で歌ってた人がいたなぁと、幼少の時に頭の片隅に残ってた歌でした。とても素晴らしいです。

  • @HEADPOON0118 wot?

  • wow, claudine's her voice is amazing, i just heard of her a few min ago from listening to pandora on a station i created that plays basia, but claudine kinda reminds me of this spanish singer I grew up listening too simply named " jeanette" their voices are kinda similar.

For those who may want to look her up some of her songs are:

jeanette porque te vas, soy rebelde, el muchacho con los ojos tristes, corazon de poeta and frente a frente =)

  • sigh. To be 15 and in love again.

  • i can put this song on repeat all day

  • To really hear the song, open it in two windows. Play one 16 seconds after the first. You'll get it.

  • @Skeezyhouse Holy shit that's awesome! Double strength!

  • KILLER!

  • this song reminds me of living in Humboldt County in 1972 when an injured cow was lifted to Heavan by a tractor.

  • @dodgedavis Wow... this is why I love Youtube... finding rare comments like this one to add to my collection. In a way I would like to know more but perhaps that would spoil my image.... thank you

  • L´amour est bleu

  • what's the title of this song in french?

  • @90210parisfy L'amor Est Bleu

  • 1 of the most prettiest, beautiful songs ever, and with pixie, sprite voiced claudine...its glorious in its sadness.

  • 数有る「恋はみずいろ」の中でも、一番好きなアレンジです(^-^)

  • Música linda e envolvente!

  • A beautiful Lady with a sexy voice, how this takes me back to my younger days in the late 60's , thanks for posting.

  • I first heard the instrumental version. It was on an episode of X Files. Still messes with my head a bit when I hear it. lol.

  • Yeah? I heard on season 2 of Millenium, always wondered what it was

A great version: l'amour est bleu by junk fellows

  • Not in a X files , but in Millenium ^^

  • I love the X Files

  • すばらしい!

  • This was originally singing Vicky Leandros.

  • This song, was featured ever so briefly in Pineapple Express. It played in the background for only a few seconds, but I was hooked.

  • I listen to this and went out and bought a couple of her old albums. I didn't have any of hers in my collection. She does an excellent job on this song, very relaxing.

    5 Stars.

  • anybody knows which language is this?

  • By her name I would say french.

  • it is french

  • it is french!

  • Claudine Longet was born in Paris, France in 1942. She was married to Andy Williams for 15 years. They had 3 children. In 1976 she gained notorioty for shotting and killing her ex-lover, an Olympic Skier. She was aquitted of murder and later married her defense lawyer. They are still married and live in Aspen, CO.

  • it's so bluehuhuhuhuuhu....

  • haha

  • very nice

  • It sounds like one of those things about which we were never going to know the complete truth.

One thing I do know - this song is hauntingly attractive. There are not many songs that can evoke so much emotion. I have a feeling that C.L. is most of the reason for this.

    shalom

  • You just describe my entire thoughts right there, especially the "hauntingly attractive" part. Brought back soo much memories.

  • Didn't she like him or something?

  • She was acquitted. She latter married her legal counsel. Settled peacefully, outside of the limelight, tended her garden and died at 60.

  • she realy killed her boyfriend?????

  • Yes and she only got 30 days an then probation. Author Domenick Dunne said on his cable show this was similar to OJ. Got off because she was a celebrity.

  • I love this song

  • mantopgun

  • Comment removed

  • Isn't this the lady who shot her husband (or was it just boyfriend?) in Aspen in the 70s?

  • Yes, but it was ruled an accidental shooting. It ruined her career in spite of it's being accidental - too bad she was a beautifull woman and a wonderful singer.

  • Watch Domenic Dunne's cable show about justice. You will change your mind if you really think it was accidental. He's not saying it was first degree murder but it was not accidental. She got off like OJ and Robert Blake because she was famous.

  • Yes. She was married at one time to Andy Williams. He was a skier named Spider Sabich or Savitch. It was ruled accidental but those in the legal community believe she was guilty and got off becuase she was a celebrity. Ala OJ and Robert Blake. Saturday Night Live did a parody called the Spider Sabich Ski Tournament. Every skier was accidently shot. Risque for it's time. It's the only time SNL had to apologize for an offensive parody. I think they did it the next week.

  • I hope you are well. I miss you.

  • i´m sory (this song is really lovely) but i heard once a dance version, some remix probably, dontyou now anybody about it something?

  • Not yet.....

  • AH, merci bien, madame/mademoiselle!

  • Non! Je sui homme!

  • Ah! je m'excuse! je voyais la terminaison féminine de votre nom......

  • It's OK. My Youtube user name is a combination of my first name and surname. The latter happens to sound like something that could be mistaken as female name. Wish I could reply in French but I only have 3 units of it at school! Je pardon vouz (hope this is grammatically correct).

  • Future Bible Heroes cover this song on their EP entitled Lonely Days. I am certain that is the version you're thinking of.

  • well i hardly get that track and i have to say its not what i mean..:(

the version i am thinkin about is pretty much different... for example the refrain is not being singed, its just instrumental (some pc sound...) probably i will never find it..:(

  • I think you are talking about "Paul Mauriat's" very lovely instrumental. I think he played on the original Eurovision version with Vicky Leandros singing....later he made a chart topping easy-listening orchestration with his band ( music Andre Jean Popp)

  • et les lyriques en français?

  • (for cub68134) The song is done in both English and French. Merci beau coup!

  • est-ce que les lyriques sont ici ou où?

  • The narration in the mid-part is all in English. The rest of the song is French. Sorry, but my French is

very, very limited. Are you asking if the lyrics are available?Je sui Filipin.

  • yes, are the French lyrics here on youtube or where?

  • I've checked the net but so far only the English

lyrics is available. Your French is capable enough to translate it.

  • What a delicious voice ! I agree with the previous poster though that the lyrics are sickly sweet.

  • Great !!!

  • i only love this due to an episod of Millennium where an evil woman kidnapped people and forced them to listen this music non-stop for years and years =p kinda funny

  • This is my absolute favorite version in french of The love is blue..... <3 <3 <3

    absolutely beautiful...

  • i love this killer! hekhekhek! xP

  • Paul Muriat put this song out in 1968 as an

instrumental, I never heard that marty robbins wrote this...strange, will have to look THAT one up...

  • Marty Robbins - Love is blue.flv he's the best because this song was wrote by him!!!!

  • Nope that's actually incorrect. he didn't wrote this song

  • beautiful song, it surely bring back alot of old memories

  • this song is so beautiful :)

I just don't like the lyrics

    4/5

  • There is no disputing the girl, blue it is.

Still, WE can have a little fun while we are trying to lighten the shade a touch.

    stiff upper lip

    Moi aussi

  • Hearing this was one of my first memories.....amaybe it will be one of my last?

    Salud

  • Claudine Longet has the best version. Case closed....Don't let you ears betray you.

  • Me too. Won't be my last though. Her voice was so beautiful! Claudine rules!

  • My all time favorite which always bring me back to the 1960s period. Hauntingly beautiful. It carries lots of memories of the first taste of love.

  • This song haunts me from my youth. I was born in 1964, but I remember hearing sevearal versions of this song throughout my upbringing. I always thought that it meant no matter what is going on in life, there is some sadness to the background. In my time, it would have been the Vietnam War and the changeing of the times. It also meant the passing of a schoolmate that died in a fiery car crash that died in 1972, Donnie Hall, Eureka, California.

  • I believe it to be a happy shade of blue

  • Today, 29 Oct 2008, I suddenly remembered this song, which I have not heard since the 70s; funny how the sense of memory works.

  • Remember "Mammy blue"?

  • I can't remember the last time I heard that one.

  • Thank you for posting this. It brings back so many wonderful memories. 40 years ago my boyfriend and I fell in love listening to Love Is Blue, and other songs of hers....and we still listen to them together.

  • c'est clair elle a su ntirer son epingle de jeu la tite francçaise, dommage elle fait meurtre de spider dans conté de aspen

  • one of my all time favorite songs!!

  • Beautiful song.

  • magnifique.

  • I miss u soooooo much Yeon Soo Han !! I love u !!!

  • this songs sound great no matter what version!

  • á mi tambien

  • I miss you so much

  • A very good song for Beijing Olympics closing ceremony. No. 13.5

  • great song ... i loveeeeeeeeee it soooooooooooooooooo much .......

  • The beauty and sadness with which she sings this song should blow any person away (if they have emotions).

It is the song and the voice that does it, not the person. I don't think there should be any loss incurred.

    x

  • I apologise for overstepping the mark but it is my loss

  • But she still blows me away.

  • is a version very nice!! somebody knows who sing

  • This is the best version of Love is Blue ever.

  • She sounds like she needs to party.

  • Vicky is charming and lively, I feel like letting Vicky leading me.

This singer is soft, kind, sweet, I feel like I need to step forward and protect her.

  • Love's not green, it's blue.

  • The Version of Vicky Leandros is much better!

  • Best song ever, and she makes it even better

  • singing like angels

  • i love this song. im only fourteen, but my mom has this on record, so we listen to it quite often. it brings back a few memories. =]

  • I love this song, sweet. She isClaudyne Longet, not Vicky.

This arrangement reminds of the Paul mouriat.

  • Beautiful song.

  • I think her name was

    "Vicky Leandros"

and i think this music is call

    "L'amour est bleu" on french.

  • No

    Her name is Claudine Longet

  • Lovely, this song was a song from Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest 1967.

  • Beautiful song. It's the perfect theme song for my own soured romances. ^^

  • beautiful song

  • Love & adore this so much it goes straight to

    the heart, thanks.

  • I wish the singer had been identified. She's Claudine Longet known for her whispery romantic style.

  • first was english or french ?

  • French! =D

  • formidable

  • Fantastic...I have also done a song called: "L´amour!!

    L´amour!

    Ulf Sawert. Sweden

  • can some 1 tell me what is the lyric of this version? and the translation of english, i dont know French.

  • Blue, blue, my world is blue

Blue is my world, now I'm without you

Grey, grey, my life is grey

Cold is my heart since you went away

Red, red, my eyes are red

Crying for you alone in my bed

    Green, green, my jealous heart

I doubted you and now we're apart

When we met, how the bright sun shone

Then love died, now the rainbow is gone

  • Black, black, the nights I've known

Longing for you, so lost and alone

Gone, gone, the love we knew

Blue is my world, now I'm without you

Red, red, my eyes are red

Crying for you alone in my bed

    Green, green, my jealous heart

I doubted you and now we're apart

When we met, how the bright sun shone

Then love died, now the rainbow is gone

  • thank you very much, but which 1 go first? or 2 of them are difrents versions? and can you please post the french version lyrics as well? = ="

is there a lyric that compare the line to line from french and english?

  • It begins with blue (I wanted to reply down to your comment, but it didn´t work :) ). Try to find the lyrics by google - French version with English translation is for example at diggiloo dot net / ?1967lu. I love this song.

  • thank you for posting the lyrics i only ever knew the instrumental version.

  • CLAUDINE LONGET

  • wats the singer's name?

  • Thought you might come here Flower Girl.

  • I love this song, it's so great!

  • 我想抱後面那位標高音的小朋友

  • I lived in Vail from '73 to '76. I am so grateful that someone took the time to post the song. Andy Williams had a heavenly voice, apparently never lost his love for Claudine. Who of us would not love to have someone so supportive and dedicated in a time of crisis? We mourn Spider, a great skiier. But who knows what transpired during that event. Thanks Claudine for a very sexy, seductive song, which reminds me of the person I used to be!

  • i worked on her house on red mountain in aspen in '78.... what a place, she came around once with very short shorts on... me and the construction guys were wondering if she was packin... sorry she had a real dingy vibe cost plus project with andy footing the bill.. money no object in tinselland the place was incredible... the master john had an incredible view out the window of pyramid peak.. and the tenesee walkers hanging out in the corral...

  • whatever happened to andts ex????????

  • I'm sure this was a Eurovision song from the 60's. Not sure if it won but I know I thought it shoud as I watched it all those years ago.

  • The most beautiful song ever written. This song could easily be done in any style of music. Like heavy metal, KISS style. Or, hip-hop, Mariah Carey style. This song could easily be mixed and cut to sound very modern. I think this song is timely. It should be re-done. It would be a hit again. It's more than just the best elevator song ever.

  • IM IN LOVE....

  • To Dungaudigy2

Thank you so much for posting this video. I have been looking for this particular song sung by Claudine for so long. You made my day and my wish come true. This bring me back to my teen-age years with my first taste of love. So wonderful. My eyes are teary.

I can never thank you enough.

    Vu

  • What an Evil Bitch Claudine Longet is! I know that she is responsible for that U.S. Skier's death. But let me ask you, was she also responsible for Andy Williams' Death as well?

I want to shoot her, if I had half the chance!

  • Vladimir "Spider" Sabich was shoot by her...he has taken coacaine that night and kill her boyfrind, stupid bitch

  • Oh really?

  • right, in your sick dreams you low iqed dolt. You're just yet another of her jealous detractors whose mothers were beat out for the affections of a beautiful French girl with pouty lips. hahahahahaha

  • Found that sweet little Spyder killer. Where's she been?

  • She married the lawyer that got her off for committing murder. I guess playing dumb worked back in the day. They live in Colorado.

I have a very low opinion of this Melanie-Griffith-with-a-French-accent sounding murderer. Plus she was married to Andy Williams and had sex with him and everything. Gross. I guess it drove her bonkers.

  • does anyone give a shit what you think, chamarka? if anyone needed killing, it was that bastard. hahahaha

  • Obviously you care, you ignorant moron. You care so much that you left the most idiotic ill-informed comment I've ever seen.

It might please us all to know that Claudine Longet's reputation is shot and she has to live the life of a hermit (kinda like you, I would imagine...heh heh heh).

  • u right.. a murderer in freedom..like many others

  • Blue, blue...the Love is blue...every time you say me I love you.

Blue, blue...the Love is blue...every time I see a child smile and play.

Blue, blue...the Love is blue...every time an Human Being become a real man or woman.

Blue, blue...the Love is blue...every time the True Truth is coming to light our lives.
