    He has a point though...

  • He's actually right, they do waste a lot of food, while kids in poor countries die cause of hunger.

  • Scam or not ! He is soo right .. Dont waste it . !§

  • Set up...

  • scripted or not, I agree with Matt...there's no way that someone will throw food just like that..millions of people around the world are starving and need some decent food to eat, others are trying to make ends meet just to survive and yet there are some other people who seem not to care enough.

  • He says, "Piss off" as an homage to Chef Ramsey

  • I would have eaten it !!!

  • It is a scam and a great bit of PR for the show :-)

  • If you watch the full version (link in description) its obviously staged, however before I saw the full version I shared the chef's point - especially after they started arguing with him instead of apologizing

    !

  • its not fake because in my mind its real.

  • Its fake guys haha check out the full version in the description. :P

  • Awesome stuff Matt.. you tell them! :)

  • Fake or real, the sentiment is spot on.

  • I thought they were throwing away potatoes because it wasn't cut evenly.

  • Awesome

  • Good on you Matt

  • LOL what a prick

  • That Moran dude always acts like an idiot on materchef but he swore to that guy in the best way

    :)

  • Bahahahahahahahaha!

Even if it was fake, I still laughed though.

  • Many people are starving in the world, and these people dont uderstand,i agree with the chef.

  • @flowerpupps, fake, they said after it was to advetise

  • haha nice. its funny how many people think that this is real.

  • Go Matt, I fully support reducing food waste, especially if it's a dish carefully crafted by a top chef.

  • I agree with him

  • Wow....

  • Lol yeah it's like an insult to just chuck his food in a bin

  • im with him , thats such a waste of good food

  • Matt you need a good blow job come on up 2 the mountains . man your so hot . i just lov HAYDEN on Masterchef . Mat lov 2 kiss your arse any day.

  • Matt Moran respect +100%

  • Oohhh SNAP!!!

  • I'd laugh so hard if they showed this on the actual show

  • Yep give it 2 him lol

  • He's got a fair arguement, that really is a waste of good food

  • Woo! Fair enough!

  • Thumbs up if you wish this was real..

    watch?v=D_VSlEPO454

  • Well talk about an awkward moment.....

  • Too fuckin right wasteful cunts. There's people in the world starving every day and that cunt just throws food away

  • Id eat it still ;p

  • brilliant!

  • He mad

  • Third world arguments aside, you don't have to be a chef to feel insulted when your efforts literally get binned like that. If you were a student, spent an entire hour rushing out a 2000word essay and have someone crap and soil your paper, you'd be pretty damned pissed too, mate.

  • Ha, fail. Didn't realize it was fake until I read the description. Either way, the intentions of the advert are right.

  • The chef is so right here.

  • Hahahahhaa omg yes!

  • @nosdan

Which part of TV "ratings" did you not understood, son ?

    Don't be a low life.

  • Good on him!!

  • I have worked for this cunt and this is exactly how he acts trying to run his kitchen. Well now the general public knows, thank god! He is the biggest wanker i have ever had the displeasure of working with.

  • @icewhitexxx This is just a cut scene from the full video , the full video is an advertising to save food for others who cant find it . Go check it out on masterchef's official website .

  • @icewhitexxx I know this is supposed to be a joke but I also know someone who once worked with him and said this isn't far from the truth :/

  • wow he really did lose it

  • What a perfectly executed campaign to raise awareness.

  • Please, watch the full version.

  • Please, watch the full version.

  • i think this was released on social media on purpose. i reckon it was to build awareness. legendary

  • Do I come on your set and trash your fucking lights?! NO, NO FUCK.

  • There's a scary number of people who don't seem to realise that this isn't real.

  • He has a good point, that's true, but most of the swearing was unnecessary.

Oh and this was obviously a publicity stunt, definitely fake.

  • i dont blame him

  • Fair call too - there's TOO much waste in our society

  • What a cool guy. I expected him to be freaking out about nothing, but this is totally legitimate.

  • @BeyondSight It's an advert, rofl. A viral video. A set up.

Ironic how you chat shit about how you waste judges time to make sure you don't look stupid, then come out with this.

    Classic.

  • It's like seeing something that you have just done for your job get destroyed right after you have done it. Applies to every job and it would suck for anyone to see their hard work get demolished.

  • @Ackissell I was being sarcastic. I thought it would be funny to point out something minute and stupid and base my "its fake" argument around it. I feel like you are offended because...wait for it...you pop your collar.

  • fake and gay

  • Take 2

  • What a skitzo.

  • it's a set up. just watch the full version. still funny though. he did a good job

  • Give him a break, seriously.

  • when he says fucking bin.. u know all the other guys are like ohh shitt shouldnt of done that XDD

  • @danceswithdingos

I don't doubt that he's cooking for the camera, he has a fucking TV show. His point remains valid. They could have simply ate the food, rather than throwing it in a trash bin. There's got to be ten or more people on that set at that very moment; not a single one of them could have eaten at that time or simply saved it? Those are the type of people who leave leftovers on their plate at restaurants, instead of bringing it home to eat later. Unappreciative, wasteful fucks.

  • @impek When you are the director of one of these shows and you are the one paying 10 staff $40 an hour, then you can tell them to stop, spend the next half hour stroking this fools ego. Total cost - $200, for one lousy plate of food. I will again point out to the intellectually challenged, that if you cook for a show, you are the one wasting food.

  • @danceswithdingos That "lousy plate of food" would've been greatly appreciated in a third-world country, you ignorant Youtuber.

It doesn't matter if he handled this roughly. As a cook, I take pride in my works and love seeing the finish product. How would it feel after spending a half hour to an hour working on an art piece, to have someone pick it up, and throw it away as if they think it's garbage. It doesn't matter if this was a joke, I don't appreciate wasting food at all.

  • @SneakyTarsier Well Mr Ignorant Chef - The cost of eating the food and stroking the chef's ego would supply a ton of food in the third world. I don't understand how chefs can waste food and then take the moral high ground. Food is not art, food is a staple requirement to live. It only costs around $3000 to set up a well in the countries you mentioned, allowing them to drink fresh water and grow food. Alternatively, how much did the production above cost? It could have fed a village forever.

  • @danceswithdingos You seem to be comparing all the chefs/cooks in the world to the 100-some(estimate) that own tv shows and do this for a living. That seems oddly bias, since I believe most of the cooks in the world don't want people "stroking" their ego, but more appreciating the food. Yes, this tv program could've sent all their money to a third-world country, but so could you, hm? Anything in life can be considered art, no matter if that art serves as a means of survival.

  • @SneakyTarsier We are referring to the clip above. You have mentioned how it could have fed people in a third world country but are ignorant as to what is required to assist people living there and I'm sure are ignorant of the cost as well. That is quite telling. You use the "third world country" to make a point as opposed to offering some assistance. So the choice was, help thousands of people or cook for a show. It seems that chefs including yourself chose the latter.

  • @danceswithdingos You also seem to know so much more about third-world countries than us, and the chef, so you should give your profession away and help them by giving them all of your money. Or is that money you made from your job needed to sustain YOUR way of living? The chef could could have fed thousands of these people for free, but that's not how people think do they? This chef didn't create this plate to be wasted, he created it to be enjoyed. You shouldn't assume it had no other purpose.

  • @SneakyTarsier Typical chef. Uses poverty in a third world country to try make a point, but when pressed we find out that the chef is full of BS. I have done enough. You guys (chefs) should get off your butts. You talk of poverty but are not willing to assist. You would rather a production company spend money eating one plate of food than helping thousands. Then you suggest that I quit my job and do nothing other than assist the needy. You have shown the quality of your character. ZERO.

  • @danceswithdingos There you go again with the assumptions and hypocrisy. ALL us chefs are lazy, yup. We ALL talk of poverty, but don't assist, yup

And what about you, sir? Are you not sitting on your ass (as I), blaming others for not helping the needy, while you yourself sit at home not worrying about if you'll be able to eat tomorrow?. I'm not saying I give all I have to the poor, but, if you are so much better than us chefs, go ahead! Change the world with your attitude that you just showed.

  • @SneakyTarsier No, not all chefs but YOU. I'm not the one that mentioned a "third world country" to benefit my argument, that was you. But when you mentioned them, it was for the purpose of an argument over one plate of food. I would rather they feed a village. You would rather they have a few people standing around oohing and aahing over a plate of food. Its that simple.

  • @danceswithdingos " food is a staple requirement to live. It only costs around $3000 to set up a well in the countries you mentioned, allowing them to drink fresh water and grow food. Alternatively, how much did the production above cost? It could have fed a village forever."

Seemed like you used this to help back your argument up a little bit ago...I want them to enjoy the food being cook. I'd like for them to quit their jobs and help the needy, but as I said before, that's not how it works.

  • @SneakyTarsier You need to differentiate between an argument and a fact. If I have a spare $500.00 and I could spend that on wages for staff to eat one plate of food, or donate to an organisation that will feed thousands, I know which option I would take. But that doesn't take fragile ego's into account. If you think it is better spent pandering to an ego, that's your problem.

  • @danceswithdingos You need to learn how to build an argument in the first place with a plausible scenario and reason. If you were a production leader and spent the $500 of wages on feeding a village, then you just made money without a paid staff (which would be no money at all, because no one works for free). You just seem to think that YOUR ego is greater than those who don't think much of the needy. YOU'RE the one with a fragile, uptight ego, hypocrite. :)

  • @SneakyTarsier It's not only plausible that a production crew costs money, it is a fact. Every minute of production costs money. Moran's rant cost the production company money. One staff member sitting down for 20 minutes costs the company money. Why are you so adamant that this cost is better spent on that plate of food than elsewhere? I don't give a toss if you toss if you think I'm fragile or have an inflated ego. I'm not the one who needs attention at the expense of others.

  • @danceswithdingos You started off saying if you were to have a spare $500 to spend on your staffs' WAGES, you'd spend that on feeding someone. I haven't said that I think this show was better than helping someone in need. I'm just bringing you down to a REALISTIC level, since you think the world runs off rainbows and happiness. The company makes food for art and money, and sometimes to promote causes. Give your own money away if you feel so inclined since you don't own your own production crew.

  • @SneakyTarsier Yes, and if $500 of production is wasted, you don't think it would be better off helping someone other than Moran. Why does Moran expect someone to pay for wages to listen to his rant or eat his food. Surely he should be the one to organise what happens to his food after a shoot, and not make it someone else's responsibility. Don't expect people to pander to your whims at their cost because there are MUCH better things they could do with their money. Some people do more than talk.

  • @danceswithdingos I laughed out loud to that one. You're complaining now that he should just produce his own show? Also, that $500 isn't being wasted. It's being paid out to individuals with lives and families that need money to put their own food on the table. Some people need to think before they sit down at a computer and start assuming ridiculous things.

  • @SneakyTarsier I would expect that you wouldn't understand logic. Putting food on the table is one thing, but wasting a producers time is another. How do you think the producer pays wages? Does your employer allow you to stand around admiring art when customers are waiting for their meals? Do you expect that you can waste your bosses time and still be paid? Try it, I dare you. Open a restaurant with that attitude and you'll soon be doing an episode with Gordon Ramsay.

  • @BeyondSight No life is not life. Life is a gift, and don't move the fuck on.Stop. Question. Do not submit to authority. If you can sit there and go through the bullshit every day, doing things you know are wrong, then you do not deserve the gift of life.

It was totally Ok for the chef to flip out. He is the reason those people are making money.

  • @imarocklobster

And quit your fucking hipster crap, life isn't just a gift for everyone.

Not everyone subscribes to your view on life. Are you religious? I suspect so.

btw, I'm also a waiter for a large establishment, I see plenty of food thrown away. However I DO ask if someone else wants it if say, a fresh plate is sent back.

But you can't expect me to go searching for someone to eat it, Anyone want this? No? Trash.

  • i totally agree with him. good on him

  • OWNED.

  • hes right! dont waste mean feeds!

  • awwww the guy was just doing his job but i agree with matt he could have said it a bit nicer though!
