@beatlettese - I sure can...Place your mouse pointer on the very bottom of the video. Over to the right side should appear a 360p. Click on the 360p and it will open up and you will see the 240p. Click on the 240p and you will have sound. Is that clear as mud? ; -)
@TheOrleansLasVegas - I wish there were a quick way I could permanently restore the audio. I don't know why this is happening but have heard that it happens to others as well. Is it YouTube doing it? Who knows!
It takes about an hour or so to do a video and upload it so with one or two videos going silent every few days it just isn't feasible to go through all the trouble.
I'd love to have heard this classic by Nat but - with no sound it's not going to happen apparently. This is one of my favorites of all of his recordings. - Paula
My mother used to sing this to me when I was a child...
1 Cor. 13:11 (KJV) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
I'm truly amazed to receive your comment because this record was on my previous channel that was suspended 7 months ago. Either Youtube has reinstated my original VinylNostalgia channel or they have done it accidentally. Anyway, enjoy all the great tunes on this channel before Youtube discovers what they've done and it gets suspended again.—David
I don't like jazz myself but I have to agree with you otherwise. Nat's ballads will never be forgotten, I'm sure of that. This one is a childhood favourite of mine and I love singing along with it, and also the B-side "The Good Times". Far, far better than the so-called "music" of today, which is just an assault on the lug-holes. Right?
Hi annie, not all jazz sounds the same. A lot of the old jazz vocalists from WAY back were really very good. I used to think the same as you about jazz until I heard Annette Hanshaw's voice. She was a very popular jazz vocalist from the late 1920's through the 1930's. You can probably find several of her songs on Youtube if you do a search. Let me know what you think of her.—David
Wow. If you listen to this song when you're reading the parts where Norman goes crazy in Rose Madder it freaks you out. Haha. I looked it up because Norman was singing it once in the book.
After doing some research i found out this album released in 1963 one year after the single, was on the charts for a record breaking 162 weeks.I dont know if that record has ever been broken. I think you just might have this one rapped up. rip nat..
this was my mothers favorite nat king cole song, she played this album over and over, she was young and strong then, shes gone now but with mothers day coming up this sunday mom I didn,t forget, lol and rip from your little boy..
when i use to be a dj i'd get a call every night from my dad to play this classic there is no comparing nat voice with any other . hs gone now but thanks to electronics we will have his voice till god comes back
this is so nice...i have this 45 in my sad scratched up collection of my youth...love it

@beatlettese - You need to change the settings under the video from 360p to 240p and you will have sound.

Capitol Records was indeed "The House That Nat Built"! This was his biggest 1962 hit! Have you got his 1963 classic "That Sunday, That Summer"?

I feel like I am in my dad's pickup and hearing this song when I was a young kid. This reminds me of the talent that was required to be a star.

Today talent isn't necessary, just good looks!

You hit the nail right on the head. It's good to have "YOU TUBE" and others to remind us of the true talent that made music history.

What a voice.........I believe Nat's TV show was in the top 10 the year he debut. The following year, none of his sponsors picked the show up.
