  • Amazing video!!!!!!!! :]

  • Hey Lisa! Thanks for the video. It's so helpful. I was wondering if u have a list of all you foundation colors in each foundation you've tried b/c every time I've needed a foundation I refer to your videos and they've worked out for me really well for me. If you do can you add it to info box? Thanks so much. ^_^

  • @LoveSweetHonesty no I actually don't but that would be a great idea to start! :o) Thanks for the idea!

  • love your necklace <3

  • Muff matte velvet shades

  • You mentioned how you used the beauty blender/sponge to continue application but how do you get the product to your face? Do you dab it on your face (after your hands) and then blend with the sponge and put it directly on the sponge? Thanks Lisa!

  • @ForEvrMusic I dab it on in spots then use teh sponge

  • Hi Lisa, I wil get married in Italy in September and I am looking for the perfect foundation for the big day too. Have you ever tried the MUFE HD Foundation? What do you think about it?

    Thanks!

  • @peachy0506 teh HD breaks me out! :o(

  • So between the MUFE Matte Velvet and the Chanel Matt lumiere which one would you recommend more for somebody with very, very, VERY, oily skin???

  • @lupitainpink09 MUFE

  • @Lisasz09 Thank you!!!

  • Hey!.. uhm could you either answer me or make a video on the differences of mat velvet and the shiseido liquid foundation.. i'm getting one of them but i just dont know which it would be awesome if you could answer my question! :D

  • @ilyKayla13 they are really different products- what are you looking for in a foundation? Finish? SPF? How do yoiu like to apply them? sponge ,brush, fingers?

  • @Lisasz09 Uhmm i'm mostly looking for staying power... and since they are both supposed to have good staying power i wanted to know which had the longest... and since they are both full coverage which worked best... and ill apply foundation with anything it doesnt matter to me... and i like a mat finish but not a cakey matte finish.. and they are both the same price... just overall which works best??

  • @ilyKayla13 I think if you dont need the spf I like the MUFE better!

  • what colour are you in mac studio fix? x

  • @hockeylovemania I am not sure i havent worn mac in years- sorry

  • Sorry I didnt finish my question so does the mat lumiere foundation it's buildable at to full coverage?

  • @aespina955 yes it is

  • Does the mat lumiere foundation its buidable

  • Thank you for this wonderful review. I've had my matt velvet + for a long time and I've always wondered which would be the best way to use it. Now I Know rhanks to you. I agree it's a wonderful foundation. I discovered it a year ago and it's just great for my oily skin. Congratulations for your video!

  • Lisa, the Pro Lumiere is beautiful with the MUFE HD powder, it's the best powder for this foundation. Try it please, you'll love it!

  • Thanks for your review. I also love the MUFE Mat Velvet + but find that it breaks down on my combo skin after a few hours. Have you ever had this problem with this particular foundation?

  • @yourweightcoach o I have not- sorry! :o(

  • If I remember correctly, you've reviewed Revlon's Colorstay in the past...I was curious if the MUFE was similar to it? Especially since I've heard its similar to Estee DW and you mentioned they were pretty close.

  • @makeuplubr RCS is super thick and looks cakey on me. I prefer the EL and MUFE

  • LISA YOU HAVE TO SHOW PICTURES OF THE WEDDING I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM. IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE TO DO THAT ON THE TUBE. CONGRADULATIONS AGAIN. XOXOLYNETTE3232

  • I LOVE YOUR NECKLACE!!!

  • Couldn't you still use it for your wedding day since you love it so much and wish you could if it stayed on? Just use a primer underneith??

  • jIlISA, HAVE YOU LOOKED INTO THE sKINDINAVIA SETTING SPRAYS, THEY DO A bRIDAL ONE AND AN OILY ONE, oops sorry abt the caps x

  • @girlintrouble2 I have a review coming up on the oil control one

  • @girlintrouble2 I have a review coming up on the oil control one

  • @Lisasz09 Great, will be looking forward to it. They do so many its hard to know which to use for best performance, Im kinda thinking of ordering the oily one, the bridal one and the mature one, which is overkill really. I guess I wont know which one I like until I try all three.

  • yay !!!! I been watching your videos for a long time but i had a baby a few months ago and i'm not in touch w reality...anyway I'm so happy for you. Congrats!!!!

  • I'm sorry if I missed the answer in your video, but which one would you chose out of all the foundations you reviewed for your own wedding? THANKS Lisa =)

  • @mimosakpl I am still not sure and I am stll trying some out! Sorry!

  • are you doing your own makeup for your wedding? :)

  • @delasoul I am not sure yet

  • WHEN IS THE BIG DAY CONGRADULATIONS. XOXOLYNETTE3232

  • @lynette3232 july 23rd! :o)

  • Hey Lisa, i love your videos and i wanted to comment on the make up look and hair style for your wedding. Honestly you do your make up better! from the photo all i could see was your pink lipstick. your eyes didnt look as accentuated as when you would do it yourself. and for your hair i like the up do better./ i dont want to come across rude or negative but you look awesome when you do your own make up

  • why don't you get two of each for foundations? i always mix mine to find my perfect shade :)

  • I wore the mat velvet for my wedding and it held up perfect. I am usually really oily and have to normally blot my face after about 5 hours. You should give nars sheer matte a try. It's hard to apply at first but once u get use to it it gives u such a flawless finish.

  • I find that your skin looks a bit dewy in this video (it's lovely !).. how do you do have this finish, using a matte foundation ? Thanks

  • @foo8lover You answered to my question during the video... sorry !

  • oooh i love your necklace!

  • I'm the same way with primers too. I used to be on the search for the best primer for my oily skin and now I find that not using a primer is the best thing for me.

  • great review! i have the same skin type as you (combo but SUPER oily in the summer and SUPER dry in the winter) so I always pay attention to your thoughts on foundation :)

  • Your face has such a flawless finish! Love it!

  • You are so pretty in this video!

  • Can you do a review on the guerlain extreme wear?? I looked thru ur videos in case u did it already but couldnt see anything on it. An ps... what foundation are u leaning towards for ur wedding?? Jus curious cos i have same skin type as u an really want smthing that will last the day

  • @crazydiva23 I do go over it in my foundation overview video! I might do a seperate one though

  • I love how thorough your vids are :) I really want to try the Chanel Matt Lumiere

  • have you ever used the Jemma Kidd light as air foundation? x

  • @RoseanneB13 no i havent sorry

  • I looove your necklace !! :)

  • Lisa, how does the MUFE HD foundation compare to the MUFE Matte Velvet +? I have combination/oily skin and the MUA @ Sephora suggested the HD over the Matte Velvet. Which do you prefer? Thanks x.

  • @Baggravation The HD one did nto work for me- it didnt stay on but I might give it another try one day!

  • @Lisasz09 Yea I find that the HD does not stay on my face very well. It kind of melts off. I'm going to give the Matte Velvet + a try. Thanks! x

  • have you tried face atelier it has no spf so photographs really well also if you cant find exact shade they do -0 and +0 to lighten or darken shades hope this is useful

  • chanel matte lumiere's colour range is horrible ...completely horrible. I had to buy two and mix them together in order to make it suit my colour. But honestly, a brand like Chanel MUST be able to create better colour ranges.

  • I really love your reviews, you give a lot of information...even though i'm not oily skinned you still share information that benefits me, thanks honey :)

  • awsome

  • you didnt compare the two to eachother..

  • OK I do not know how you got matched to Soft honey, I'm soft honey and I'm an NC 43?!?!? I don't get it. I own both of these foundations, love them both but I feel like the Mat Lumiere photographs better. Good luck!!

  • how does Mac Studio Fix Fluid compare?

  • @TheISABEL100 I dont wear mac foudnations - they break me out- the Fix fluid drys to a powder finish and always turns to orange on me

  • That Necklace so accentuates your eyes. Beautiful.

  • just a tip for any of you dry skinned girls thinking of trying mat velvet + steeeeeeer clear my friends it sucks up any little oil your dry skin might have takes it deep into your face, never to be seen again, and spits out a dry patch. this is purely for combo/oily people

  • Do you own either Mac Face and Body or Makeup Forever Skin and Body? If so- how does it compare to the Chanel Aqua Lumiere?

  • @loveedani Just the mac one- it is ok but it is tacky when you put it on and doesnt stay long for me

  • Have you tried Eve Pearl HD Foundation?

They are like amazinggg! I have that in my makeup kit for my clients that are attending prom or something but the foundation is like silk and smooth and doesnt look cakey at all!

  • @ifavmac no i havent yet

  • is dior nude better for dry skin than aqua lumiere?

  • @vickychan0008 yes it probably is

  • love it when u have new videos =P

  • HI LISA HOW ARE YOU? I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU. WHAT IS A GOOD PRIMER FOR MY MATTE BARE ESSENTIALS MAKE UP. I WAS USING THE PRIME TIME. I GUESS IAM TIRED OF IT OR I JUST WANT TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND THAT IS GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN WITH OUT BREAK OUT AND OIL FREE. THANK YOU XOXOLYNETTE3232

  • @lynette3232 laura mercier oil free primer

  • i had the same problem with pro lumiere! i found the solution that works for me now. i mix pro lumiere and mat lumiere together ! it gives a beautiful mat finish with some kind of dimension( i guess ) and the stay power is amazing! u should try this out!

  • @kokodisc1987 i am testing that out today- thanks

  • LOVE YOUR NECKLACE. XOXOLYNETTE3232

  • I'd go with EL DW!

    I love the entire range!

    Great review!

    TY

  • HELLO... THE DINAIR AIRBRUSH IS VERY GOOD.... AND IT MATCHED ME PERFECTLY... I THINK THIS WOULD BE A GOOD FOUNDATION FOR YOUR WEDDING..

  • Hi Lisa, just wondering if you've ever tried BB cream? I've watched several reviews and have heard that it makes your face look flawless, and when set with mineral foundation, lasts all day. I've never tried it myself because my skin is on the dry side but I just thought I'd mention it in case you want to check it out.

  • @kiwimitts2 yes they are just ok for me- nothing special

  • I love MUFE matte velvet + I use my fingers to apply it as well and then I either use my dampened beauty blender or i spray my F80 with a little fix+ or water and dab that around my face and then buff. I really love the finish of the matte velvet and I'd like to try to the chanel now! Your skin just looks amazing, you are going to make a very beautiful bride =)

  • I really liked this video. It was really informational. I've been considering buying the MUFE Matte Velvet. ALSO, you look gorgeous! Just thought I'd let you know! :)

  • what does intensity mean? im not familiar with what you mean by that . thanks!

  • @BellaSparkles1 Intensity refers to how light or dark the foundation is.

  • Hi = ) Does alcohol in foundation or any other face makeup for that matter break ppl out if break out prone?

  • @ohpineapples it can cause your pores to close up and clog

  • I think U had said 4 your wedding day U wanted full coverage makeup& one that had no spf. When it comes 2 foundation& having full coverage does it mean if there is no spf in the foundation it will give U a more fuller coverage? I never knew that. Is that the case? If so, I will have to watch out for that b/c I Luv Full Coverage foundations. So the lower the spf the more fuller foundation? I'm not so worried about spf as I'm SO careful in the sun. I thought U said that in another video. Is it ture?

  • @ohpineapples i know this wasnt meant for me to answer, but I thought I would just tell you that.. spf in foundations can cause a white cast on your face in pictures :) I'm assuming the reason she would like a no spf foundation is so that she wont look like a ghost in her wedding photos!!!

  • @Amayahuu Ahww no that's ok lol.I really appreciate you taking your time to answer my question. That was sweet! Oh so it causes white spots in photos. Well lol now that makes since to me. I never knew that. I'm glad you replied to me ! Thank you! = ) Gosh my kid is gonna be in a wedding on July 28th so and there will be plenty of picture taking I'm sure, so I'm gonna tell her to do the same thing and get a foundation with no spf, so she will be pretty in the pictures too. Thank you so much.Hugs

  • @Amayahuu I posted a question about alcohol in foundation. Do you know if alcohol in foundation causes acne prone people to break out?? I would think so being that is alcohol. Hmmm maybe not tho?? Do you know?? Only b/c my kid has been using Revlon Color Stay & omg it totally made her break out..poor thing! I would like to know about the alcohol. I would also like to know what is the best foundation 4 acne prone skin.Gosh... U didn't know I was gonna throw these question at ya did ya?lol hugs!

  • @ohpineapples Revlon Color Stay breaks me out too! I don't know if its because it is such a thick coverage that my skin cant breathe (I am very acne prone). I do know that alcohol does irritate acne though, and can also dry out the skin which can cause acne for some people!

  • @ohpineapples look slike someone answered you below! :o)

  • is transfer a problem with these foundations? i have found that even when i have found a foundation that looks good in the beginning, i have to worry about transfer! :-(

how would you avoid transfer w/foundation? thank you!

  • @123cetaphil I find I have to use a translucent powder on transfer proof ones or if I use a tinted one it is actually the powder transfering.

  • im glad you tried all these foundations. for someone who has combination skin with large pores, these are all the ranges im interested in. ive nars sheer glow and estee lauder double wear at the moment. however estee lauder double wear looks bit too heavy on me. the mufe matt looks fantastic on you in the camera

  • I hated the Chanel matte lumiere...was not matt at all! I swapped it, end of story.

  • Beautiful Review!

    Thank You very much Lisa!

  • i only use a primer because it has spf otherwise i wouldnt use one either. i can ONLY use gel based moisturisers because i have ridiculously oily skin and am very acne prone and lotions creams and stuff ALL break me out or clog my pores :/ x

  • Sorry! I meant to say your necklace gorgeous!

  • I love your detailed reviews. It really helps to make an informed decision. I have combo/oily skin that turns extremely oily in the summer and use MUFE HD with murad oil mattifier, I don't know if its really working...could you do an updated foundation routine?

  • @yesenia7377 I tend to do my foundatin routine in each face of the month video because it changes all the time

  • Your me

  • Do you still use the Clarins primer under your eyes before concealer?

  • @Janetmouse no not really

  • Lisa, I have been hearing all over YT about BB creams. Apparently they are the rage with celebrities and are selling out like hot cakes. Have you heard of them? If so, do you have any opinion on them. I watched a very informative video from a guru called Bentley Blonde --she really explains them. Since you are really looking for your wedding, you may want to watch her video on BB creams.

    ~xoxo Melody

  • Excellent review!! What do you think about Armani silk foundation? I ordered it a couple of days ago and should be receiving it any day. I have normal skin. I am a confessed foundation junkie and have everything from Lauder to Shisedo, always on the hunt for a new foundation. I have used EL DW for years but as my skin ages I just don't like the look of it anymore, also I can never find a good color match. I LOVE the EL Futurist, but it breaks me out! That's another problem I have, sensi

  • @1954Barbie it is good but does stay well on my oily skin! :o(

  • I am really happy to see you listed the products you are wearing! Thanks!

  • Primers don't really work for me either. :( I kinda wish it did. Less is more for my combo/oily skin.

  • hi there what shade if you know would you be in mac just so i can compare my shade love your tutorials

  • @coal1603 I honestly dont know I havent worn a mac foudnation in years

  • your eyes are really pretty here, also i love your necklace. Great video!

  • they say that the nyx hd foundation is great for photos

  • Your eyes look amazing ! Love your look, now I am going to have to get Mac Bronze to go along with Woodwinked. Thanks for listing everything in the down bar.

  • I breakout around my mouth and chin too. I've been told that it is a inbalance in my intestines of a overgrown yeast culture. I stopped eating sugar and processed food and it cleared up. Just a little tip maybe you could try it too.

  • I SOOO can NOT wait for the new Chanel Long Wear foundation to come out in October! CAN'T WAIT!!

  • Have you decided if you're doing your own makeup or if you will have the MUA do it?

  • @emilyrebekah1 I am not 100% sure but I think I am goign to have her do it

  • Hey Lisa~ I ordered the YB mineral foundation, they made a mistake and sent me the mineral creme foundation, have u tried it?

  • @39ediaz I have tried the mineral liquid w the pump and I like it

  • LOL, i was just testing mufe for the first time today, perfect timeing! i put it on with a beauty blender, but too thick, just watched this and went and took it all off and put it on your way! haha, will see how it does.

  • Finally someone agrees with me about primer. I have combination oily skin in all the same areas as you and have never got along with primers. Kind of getting tired of sales people pushing them on me. LOL! Thanks for the video!! xoxo

  • HEY why not use the guerlein one for ur wedding??

  • @JennyMichelle85 i just might! :o)

  • Hey maybe you should try out Origins Stay Tuned balancing face makeup foundation it has no spf and it's natural product may be the thing you need and if you want spf you should finish it of with their new Brighten by Nature powder it's a beautiful finish flawless all day. Well that's my opinion it doesn't feel heavy at all. You should defenitlly check it out. (: I love your reviews by the way hope you find the right foundation before youre wedding.

  • @VintageSouldier1 orgins would be too orange IMO - i tried it and I hate it.

  • @Jjmoon95 Kett is awesome. I've had the chance to try it and it is great. I'm not too sure what other brands would be good to try.

  • I agree with you Lisa, the best makeup tools are fingers!!

  • Hey Lisa, I know you're getting a heap of recommendations for your wedding right now. But I just have to put this out there...

Have you tried mixing the EL Double wear with Chanel Prolumiere?? (Since you like the finish of the latter, but it doesn't last on you)

  • Which is best for pictures....which are u using for ur wedding???

  • @acarolc27 not sure yet

  • would you do a necklace collection video Lisa? you have some gorgeous necklaces!!

  • What do you think of the BB creams Lisa? have you considered them? Thanks,Giada

  • @nauticalbutnice1 i have tried them and they are ok but not anything amazing for me

  • your using mufe but it looks too shiny on your forehead

  • Your eyes are really sparkly here! Would the Aqua Lumière be drying for skin that is already quite dry if it contains alcohol? Thanks!

  • @shazzer1976 yes it would be drying

  • @Jjmoon95 no i havent because I have to order it and I dont know what color to try, etc

  • Hi Lisa, would u try the NARS sheer matte and see how it compares with the Chanel matt lumiere?

  • Hi Lisa, was wondering how's the Lancome waterproof concealer working for you? Do you use it for blemishes/undereye? Thanks!

  • @amandalslify it is good- I use it for undereye- still not my HG

  • Does anyone knows the best match shade for Chanel matte foundation for mac nc 42 shade

  • Hi Lisa, I was wondering if you use or have ever used the Clinque foundations which here in Europe they are very well known and are said to be very good. Since they don't cost as much as MUFE and Chanel I would like to know what you thought of them. They have foundations for pretty much each skin type and age!

I love your videos, thanks :)

  • @naina1939 I have not tried them yet- sorry

  • Which of the 2 do you find lasts longer during the day??? I'm in VA and it's HUMID!!! also, which primer do you use with these??? THX!

  • @swcook2005 they are very similar- but I like the overall finish of the chanel better at the end of the day

  • i love your necklace and great video :D

  • so if u were to choose 1 foundation to buy which one will it be, regardless of the price

    +

which 1 will u be wearing in ur wedding???

  • @Nonanyangel Guerlain I think- I will prob be wearing that one

  • @Lisasz09 thnx lisa ^.^

  • I want to try the mufe matt for summer butt i have large pores and I dont want it to be to flat so im scared to use it right now im using the lm silk creme i love it but not 4 summer so would u recommend mufe? Love ur vids (:

  • @scullen2009 yes it is a great finish and you can add some highlight if you feel you need it

  • Lisa, I love this video! Thank you for mentioning the similar foundations. My skin type is like yours, so the informatin you gave is very helpful!

  • you look beautiful!! this foundation is perfect on you!

  • Your necklace is stunning!

  • Lisa, I totally agree with going lighter than darker. I have oily combo skin; MUAs always match me with the darker shade when color matcihing.

  • The Chanel website states that the Mat Lumiere is indeed oil-free Lisa! A great review, as always! :o)

  • why don't you try estee lauder double wear? it's amazing!

  • @TheGwendolline I show it in this video

  • Thanks for sharing!!

  • I love your necklace, where did you get it Lisa?

  • @AnaAydee Sorry I have had it for years and years- i got it just at macys or somewhere like that

  • I am the first viewer lisa. Love ur vids
