To all you folks out there, if you can't say something nice then SHUT IT! Sharon I love this so very much. I'm wishing I lived in Cali so I could pursue you as my mentor! I love your approach to hair as artwork and am using you as my muse from here on out. I'm a 34 yr old chick that changed careers to do something she loves so thanks for the inspiration to keep pushing forward!
Very nice technique ! Very nice result ! Your client has a young liz taylor flavor - you framed her face in a perfectly flattering way ... you could by her smile that she was happy, too ~
@gamerkiki Thank you for commenting! As licensed cosmetologists, students of cosmetology and old timers (like myself ha ha)... when we find a tool that sets our visions free successfully,... it's a great joy! ... combine it with other aspects of hair... And more importantly, enjoy the joy of creating Beauty for others results in... :) PS... find me on fb... Sincerely, Sharon Sovinski
I love the cut and it looks great on your client. I am just getting back into the salon after 8 years and it's nice to see your videos. It would be nice to hear some instruction as well.. thanks again.
Nice cut but her face is too large for such a short cut, hate to see a fat neck on any women, would have left it longer in back, and sides with long pieces flowing
Great work and love the makeover. Get those lights up nice and high to throw the shadows down behind your model next time. One light should be brighter or closer, called the key light, and the other further back at 45 degrees from the side and more defuse. Put one more better focused one from behind called a hair light to make your subject stand out from the back ground. Google or Wiki "three point lighting" you'll be amazed at the difference this subtle difference can make in your art form.
@svenhair1 Thank you for the wonderful lighting recommendation. Lighting has been one of the toughest aspects of filming hair - especially when it comes to showing hair coloring results. It's my constant goal to better the video quality. I'll definitely study the lighting technique you have recommended. Thank you again. :-)
@akashacovey This custom razor cut is designed with the intention to have the hair flow forward as well as provide an asymmetry to the look. Anytime I over-extend the hair it is my goal to create an angle from short to long... Short pushes long... So the short will push forward in this design. :-)
@BobcutFan I will do my best. And please do help find me a model!! I'd be so very happy to have a model with really really long one length hair that wants to go Rocker Shag with black and magenta and violet. Sounds like a fun video to me! Model needed!!! :-)
@BobcutFan Ok cool! I get it! Will do my best to create a really rock'n hair cut combined with a hot rocker hair color combination. :-) I'd love to find an Asian model with extremely long hair so I could create this look! Anyone know of an Asian Model who lives in the LA area who has very long hair and needs a killer ROCKER hair cut and color? ;-)
@BobcutFan Sure!... But, I may have to research what you are referring to as the Emo Type shag. People call the same hair cut by different names. Such as this looks cut looks like a "Victoria Beckham cut" and then someone else said "So Spice!".. well, that's all the same (wink). ...Feel free to send me some Emo style pics/videos. I'm always happy to show new styles as I am able to create them on video. :-) Happy to see you hear BobcutFan :-)
@dennieraej Thank you. I agree. Quite stunning and very edgy. The dark definitely added to the extreme-ness of this cut / look. Thank you for commenting. Always great to hear from you here. :-)
@pytucalopez I love it too! And yes! the formula does have some black in it. But also cherry color used in addition to the base color too! It's almost impossible to see the colors with the lighting I used in the video (and I thought the sun light would help). I really think I need to take my models outside so I can show the results in natural light. Thank you for commenting. Always helpful. :-)
@turnaya Thank you! And thank you for being a subscriber to the My Bella Color Studio youtube channel. It is my goal to provide videos that are helpful. I love the art of hair cutting and coloring. I am so happy you like it too! :-) I'm working hard on making more videos possible more frequently! :-)
@hairgirl22 Thank you! Happy to upload this new hair cut video for you! :-) I'm in the process of remodeling and implementing a new camera and new software. All so that I can provide more videos faster! Thank you for your enthusiasm! It always means to much to me!! :-)
@tomkots Thank you for commenting. The color application was 1 ounce of Level 2N + 1/4 ounce of 1N + 3/4 ounce of Level 3 Blue Violet and 2 ounces 20 volume creme peroxide. I also used 1/2 ounce of Level 3 Red Violet + 1/2 ounce of Level 3 Red Red with 1 ounce 20 volume. I used the first as the base and pulled it through with my hands... and as I was applying the first, I also used the other on SOME of the hair - as if it was highlighted through. But I also used my fingers. No foils. :-)
@purplepinkbarbie Thank you! If you could see the smile that appeared on my face as I read your comment... :-)!! Thank you so much for writing it. You made my day! So happy you like the video. These hands have touched thousands of heads of hair. I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love to do as my living and as my Art! :-)
@jaila080706 Thank you! If you only knew how long this video took me to edit! My poor PC about died in the process! BUT good news is - I am in the process of remodeling the Studio so I can provide better videos faster! Of course, I am also remaining solidly booked behind my hair chair... But I want to provide more videos! Thank you for your enthusiasm. It really means a lot to me!! Happy Holidays to you!
@MrPutcapeshair Thank you! She loves it! And she doesn't even need to use a round brush! I simply blew it dry with my fingers first... I LOVE to create custom cuts like this that work so well with the natural hair movement. Thank you for commenting. :-)
@8051890911 I agree! The darker color really works well with her. The boldness of the darker color really does add beauty to this extremely angled hair cut. :-)
@dontforgetimtheshit Oh thank you! I do too! It's my goal to be able to provide more videos more often! I've been remodeling the Studio and will soon be implementing new lights and a new camera. All so I can make MORE VIDEOS! Thank you for your enthusiasm! Really means a lot to me! :-)
wow it looks great! at first i was very skeptical on how it would look. but wow! it looks good on your model. great job! =)
