I guess you guys believe everything you see on youtube. I guess they over did Thao's role to much, hmong peeps don't act like that they too lazy to be digging gardens. Plus they talk in their native tongue or hmonglish. Its good that hmong ppl are in the big screen now but they need more improvement. Plus the role that Thaos and the rest of them are playing suppose to be for black or white ppl to play but the recruited hmong ppls instead. Everything in this movie is false.

That's Clint Eastwood's protrayal for you, to me I didn't like the movie whatsoever except for the scenes where Walt brandishes the M1 and .45 towards the thugs. Not to mention the scene where he bashes the fuck out of the fat little prick!!

Those barber and construction site scenes weren't ones where he was talking naturally though. In the movie Walt told him to talk like that so he was 'acting in the act' in those scenes.

the movie was great.
i really hated the stereotypes but some were spot on. I've never seen a Hmong ganster but I'm sure they are out there in the cities with large Hmong population.
This movie is or will make people talk about Hmongs now.

This is a good movie, after we have been in the USA for 30 years, the first time Hmong ever appear on hollywood...
