I will bet any money that at the summer truckpulls the Duramax will still be outpulling the new ford powerstroke. Truck Trend magazine already did a comparo and the Fords got whomped on by the duramax. They tested loaded and unloaded and the Duramax outperformed the Ford by a mile. The Japs really know how to build a good diesel!!!!!!

@TheHorefrost, Bullshit. Powerstroke is more powerful than the Duramax, the problem is the weight of the truck. The Super Duty is a fucking heavy truck! That is where it begins to fall behind, but not by much. Either way, Both the Duramax and Powerstroke are great engines.

Quite diesel is the way to go. Sure you dont have the authentic rough/ sharp diesel sound. But you still can hear it's a diesel. When you are driving long distances or spending a lot of time in the cab, i.e. welders. its nice to have a quite truck.

I just test drove one of these, a ton of power and awesome mileage (28 MPG HWY) but I just don't know if I can bring myself to buy a diesel that is as quiet as a gasser,,,and it really is, once you are rolling down the road, you can't hear the engine.
