  • I was first introduced to Cleo by my voice teacher back in the 70s -- bought two tickets and saw both James Galaway and Cleo Laine took my mom to see them at the Opera house and I was in love with her ever since! This does bring back memories -- I was totally impressed she could hit those high notes and a wonderful scant singer! I remember the Song Bird like it was yesterday Thanks for the post.

  • Thank you for sharing your memories and experience. Cleo is one of my favorites singers of all time! and sir James - I love him :-)

  • Beautiful. Yes, two very talented

    individuals. So heavenly.

    wonderful video.

    thank you.

  • You are most welcome. Thank you for your comment :-)

  • One of the truly great ladies of music.

What a pair of talented individuals.

  • And she can scat too. Check out "It Don't mean a Thing, if It Ain't Got That Swing", an old Duke Ellington jazz favorite.

  • True words! And be sure to check out "Turkish Delight," a delightful re-working of a Mozart masterpiece interpreted as a jazz piece. Cleo and John square off in amazing runs, leaps and flourishes! And of course, there's that phenomenal range of hers, too!

  • Ahhhh!

  • Gawd she's wondrous !

  • Wonderful! Splendid!
