  • It`s unbelievable, fantastic and realy "tasty" music-all space around full of sounds-amazing!!!!When I hear that, then fiel so young!!!

I love that-80`s the best allways!!!

    Danke!!!

    Thank`s!!!

  • Fantastic sound. Thank you. Marcel

  • Its Olive Oil .

  • I love it, fantastic!

  • Susanne can do "those" eyes at me for eternity

  • LOVE IT!!!! Just like the original.

  • In early 1985, I listened to the freshly released album "A Secret Wish" of Propaganda. It was really amazing experience. A new stream of German Synthpop emerged then.

So thank you, The Twins, Propaganda, Alphaville and others. Thanks for all the the music". God Bless You.

    Danke Sehr.

  • This is classy! =)

  • They haven´t even aged!

  • die haben viel für dich deutsche elektronische music getan danke.

  • Great song and even greater live, love to see Trevor Horn on bass :)

  • Is Trevor Horn with bass guitar ? I think

  • @OgreTheGreenGuy

Yes, he played bass guitar a lot that evening, it's a tribute to him, the entire show

  • where is the original singer cluadia, what happened to her???!!!

  • @SweetDreams1430

As far as I understand, it's the original singers.

  • @SweetDreams1430 They are the original singers. Claudia is on the right (she waves to the crowd right at the start), Suzanne is on the left.

  • art bible if I may say

  • This is music to my ears!

  • Gen-X'ers, never forget our brilliant musicians of the 1980s!!

  • I like laddy on our left nice !

  • Suzanne is just the right side of eccentric to remain sizzingly cool!

  • ber gel arschlor

  • pop music 101: What you should do (push play)

  • thanks for sharing this awesome live performance in high quality.

  • sehr geil!

  • Claudia and Susanne back together for this, talk about fantastic.

  • Great band back then!

  • Fanastic is all i have to say.

  • It is just brilliant. How great the performers respected the original sounds of "Dr Mabuse" - it's almost like in 1984. Nowadays, electronic artists - when playing their own old songs - usually devastate old arrangements by using new, crappy, "modern" sounds.

  • @mrcnrmnwsk You're totally right! They keep the original "feeling" of the song - It's marvellous!

  • War damals brilliant und so ist es auch heute noch! Ich mag die stimme von Claudia Brücken - einzigartig!

Übrigens: Wembley Stadium = 90.000 Seats

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you...just....thanks for this...they were/are brilliant....

  • Trop toff!

  • Susanne Freytag sieht immer noch schoen aus.

  • Wembley? They filled out Wembley in 2005? how many seats is that?

  • una pasada

  • una pasada de grupo, y ahora desconocido¡¡¡¡¡

  • lady ga ga you dont know what music is, and who said 80s bands were crap

  • sehr schön!

  • @djozed Oh yes, those German girls....Brilliant band

  • ok, I got the answer to my own question :D

the other drummer is Paul Robinson of course (Art of Noise and many more)

    lovely guy

  • This is an immortal masterpiece.

    Propaganda+orchestra+Trevor Horn=awesomeness

    Who's the other drummer?

(not Alan White, I mean, the younger one with black hair and an electronic drumkit)

  • i remember this as an instrumental on my favourite film "some kind of wonderful"

  • that's a tough song to sing on that stage

  • @tormira

Der Normalo-Pöbel kennt ja nur noch Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber und Tokio Hotel. Unglaublich!!!

  • @TheSunnyGirl83

    Leider...

  • @TheSunnyGirl83 Ja, sie haben Recht...

  • kein Zurück für dich - there's no way back......

  • De er da også gode live !

  • il be there thanks for the info i didnt know there was anything going down cheers me dears

  • Make sure you all come to the scala in london on wed 2nd march - sounds like it will be great as line-up includes Claudia, Suzanne, Glenn Gregory, Paul Humphreys, Andy Bell + others. Apparently she will be playing some NEW material too.

  • Lush production......Lavish acoustics......oh, yes, and Suzanne looks a total sex-kitten!

  • Claudia is playing the Scala in London - With special guest Suzanne Freytag!!!

    (excuse spelling)

    Beginning of March 2011

  • amazingly good! I wish I was there. Are they ever going to tour again?

  • i shoud have married claudia when i didn't have the chance

  • Deustcher wunderkind fur alles electronica ! Yeah - defining moment of the early 80's for me. Extra luscious with the big band sound behind them.

  • excellent !

  • Shit Hot !!

  • @Herne72 F* yeah!!!

  • love the original version, but this live version is simply AMAZING.

  • HALLO

MADE IN GERMANY IS IMMER GUT...

Schade, dass es Propaganda nicht mehr gibt!!!!!

    super deutsche Band..Made in Düsseldorf!!!!!

  • Saw them at a nightclub on LI in 85. Would love to see them again!

  • Mitici Propaganda!

  • Propaganda was made to have a full orchestria playing behind them. Their sounds was always so full and rich naturally without being produced to get it that way.

  • Hervorragende Musik !!!

  • everywhere u look... Trevor always pops up somewhere, bizar! :D Most brilliant German band ever...

  • everywhere u look... Trevor always pops up somewhere, bizar! :D

  • another stunner from this show was art of noise close to the edit ....where s it gone

  • Es ist und bleibt ein geiles Lied!!!!!!

  • THIS IS BRILLIANT.......made famous by John Hughes or should i say this sound made "some kind of wonderfull"

  • class dont lie

  • One of the best beats of the 80s. Really great and thank you Dusseldorf!

  • stunning

  • Wer das hochgeladen hat hat Geschmack und viel Ahnung von guter Musik, Danke für den Liveaufritt

  • This kind of music of the eighties has influenced my childhood.

    I love it so much!

  • Love it

  • Saw them live @ Leicester Poly in Dec 1985 - we forced our way to the front, my mates werer drooling over Claudia, but I had my eyes fixed on the automaton-drumming of Susanna. Her bum has certainly stood the test of time (3.35).

    "Don't be a fool..."

  • great stuff and yes i agree better than the orioginal - very dramatic and the ladies still look great

  • I dare to say - better than the original.

  • WOW Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i always fancies Susane more than Claudia and it's still the case after all these years. Claudia is still one of the best vocalists ever though.

  • Fantastique chanson.

Amoureux je suis quand j'entends ces voix.

    Un pur bonheur !

  • Isn't that an ex-member of 10CC ---either Godley or Creme-----on acoustic guitar at 4.20?

  • @rabsmiff

    yes he is...

  • I remember being so excited buying this on 12 inch.It was brilliantly performed and produced. It's still great now.

  • great performance, timeless

  • one of my 2 favorite songs, besides shout from tears for fears, when I was a child. sitting in front of the tape-recorder and trying to record it, when it was broadcasted in the radio. recently read an article about a compilation, propaganda publishes 2010, it reminded me of those old memories. Had a look at youtube: and nowadays appreciate this song even more.

  • i always liked this group..great song preformed like this!!

  • Has this been released on dvd? Back in the day Propaganda was on German tv all the time,so i caught this track a lot. Susanne and Claudia might just be the hottest girls in music, right after Sinead O´Connor of cause:-)

  • Yep, that's a great live version of the track, and yes, that is Alan White of Yes on acoustic drums. Trevor Horn idolised Yes (Buggles even joined Yes after their smash hit Video Killed The Radio Star, with Trevor replacing Jon Anderson and Geoff Downes replacing Rick Wakeman) and Yes members sessioned for Trevor on all sorts of his later work (even Steve Howe played on Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Welcome To The Pleasuredome).

This whole concert is fantastic and even though I'm not a fan of a

  • Indispensable synthesizer work at 3:50......wow !!!!

  • Kein zuruck fur dich !!

  • A song that's always be lurking in my musical memory bank, but it had been pushed into a long-forgotten corner, now, it's been swirling round my head since I discovered this 3 days ago. Absolutely outstanding and it is very uncanny that Claudia and Susanne look quite alike nowadays.......

  • @Rich27014

Just discovered this excellent song for the first time when uploading the UK Top 40 from 22nd April 1984. It features on part 2.

  • secret wish è il disco migliore degli anni '80.

  • OMG -- this is so awesome and intense! I wish I was there...

  • Is that Trevor on the bass?

  • @sasha64 It is! Go Trev.

  • @sasha64: I guess: Yes - that´s Trevor !

  • Gänsehaut pur!

  • This was the best Propaganda gig I ever went to.. Even better than Berlin back in the day.... The most underrated 80's band ever!!

  • grande musica!!!! grande pezzo!!!! grandi i PROPAGANDA!!!!!!!!

  • when the sequencer kicked in i just got chills running up from my thighs.

I remember being so impressed with this track when it came out...as a musician myself it was almost intimidating, this mixture of disco, orchestral, high german gothic art, and electronica...."Mabuse" was one of the great musical achievements of the 80's...and Trevor way ahead sonically and compositionally of his peers

  • ADORO QUESTA CANZONE E LORO 2 SONO FANTASTICHE

  • This is amazing. If only they had a full concert like this...

  • Trevor Horn , the best produced Music i ever heard..

  • @ssvideo1

    amen

  • i have listened to this for a couple of weeks and I can't get itn out of my head.. beautiful, haunting, powerful, subtle, it has everything ... this is art in musical form...

  • einfach Klasse. warum gibst die nicht mehr????

  • as if they never aged after all these years! ein muziken ist sehr fantastik!

  • Truly Wonderful!!!!!

  • I'm growing older and the song yanger

  • Their live singing and playing is even better than their recorded version.

  • @espinaca79

    as good

  • Klasse!

  • It's still kicking the song, this one is much better than the 84 version

  • The part "Kein Zurück für Dich! " always kicks me away...after all those years

  • GOSSEBUMPS IN MY FACE!

  • So good to see them back after so many yrs apart but what a disappointment to only get the one trk by them although it was an amazing night though

  • ...live even more fascinating...That's not to be taken for granted in general...but for Propaganda it is!!

  • Great musicians, great singers, great version!

  • Le morceau mérite cet arrangement et les violons et les cuivres !!

  • This is amazing! I would have loved to have been there!

  • It was good to see this happen, specially since there was tons of drama/differences between Claudia and the rest of the band (which had to do with Claudia boning Trevor Horne; aka ZTT Records king/producer, and going solo with ACT).

  • @gillianseed Claudia was actually boning Paul Morley, not Trevor Horn (as far as I know). Paul and Claudia even got married so they must have really enjoyed the boning :)

  • @MJButty666 HAHAHAHA that's right it was Paul!!! I always get those two mixed up! I bet they're boning as we speak!!!

  • @gillianseed Lucky Paul!!! :-p

  • clinic bassline, great voices, cool performance, sehr schön

  • wow, kind of creepy how they look so much alike in this one! They aren't related at all are they? Way cool video, thanks for posting! :)

  • When Claudia sings "Kein Zurueck fuer Dich" at 3:13, I get GOOSEBUMPS! This is indeed an amazing live version, perhaps the best one ever recorded.

  • Claudia & Susan sound as good if not better than original!-Beautiful arrangement of this song!

  • @jackTHEEtab

    I totally agree :)

  • Nice! Sorta Ultravoxy, but in a good way. Plus it's a song about DR. MABUSE -- how many of THOSE are ya gonna find?

  • i love german woman ,haha great sound,80s rule always

  • if i win the euro millions this weekend, im having an 80s fest concert in dublin 100,000 thou croke park , 150 euros a ticket, on the bill, double, propagada, simple minds, depeche mode, police, etc, etc i reckon a mill a band will get what i wont, whose up for it

  • my god i havent heard this in years what a classic, whats wrong with the crowd fantastic live version

  • Half of them probs don't know who propaganda is thts why the crowd is a bit lifeless. the concert is a celebration of trevor horn and this isn't really one of trevor horns most mainstream works

  • I'll make it short - I LOVE IT!

  • @BlackFragment i will make it shorter- ME TOO!

  • @BlackFragment even shorter me 2!

  • favolosi|||| sempre adorati!!!

  • simply magic...

  • Genius. Remember hearing this on John Peel show many years ago and thinking my god that is brilliant. Bought it next day after school. I heard Suzanne became a jeweller in Hastings - don't know if it's true??? Love this song.

  • Excellent! Wunderbar!

  • Trevor Horn could make anyone sound great!

  • Great version. True Germans...little movement with stark lyrics. Awesome.

  • I love this group! I think there creative and unique!

  • i have and always will adore all things to do with propaganda, claudia and suzzanne are amazing.

  • Thanks for this present ! Amazing ! Propaganda 2004 ! I'd like them to do a new album !

  • Kein zurueck fuer dich!

  • Super Musik!

Aber kann es sein, dass das Seitenverhältnis nicht stimmt? Die haben alle so langgezogene Gesichter...

    Danke fürs hochladen!

  • Bravo, good old days

  • this is brilliant, wish i had known about it at the time... are they still playing together? Claudia Brucken is one of the best female vocalists on the planet... and at least she is dancing (a bit!)

  • @MrMcGoohan You have strange/interesting ideas as to what constitutes a good singer!

  • @MisAnnThorpe sorry... not good, great... amazing... i cant think of a better female vocalist...

  • @MrMcGoohan How about Liz Frazer?

  • @MisAnnThorpe well... she is perhaps a more 'acqured taste', i havn't listened to the cocteau twins in some time, but i do have there stuffk, this mortal coil is a good'n.... i would suggest Jeanette Landray from the Glove is a better challenge...?

  • suzzanne is still hot!!!i like her in the eighties and still do !!!

  • Superb.

  • awesome live act!!!

  • Spectacular, one of the best videos on YouTube. Finally, the DVD of the entire concert is available in America. it would have really been something if they had done the entire "A Secret Wish" album at this concert.

  • Fantastic!

Wonderful and great music from the 80´s, but could be great even today.

    Germany rocks!!

  • spettacolo puro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Increible, menudo regaalo del You tube

  • Secillamente geniales, solo entristece la brevisima carrera de este grupo.

  • Outstanding performance!

  • Pour moi, un des plus remarquable morceau que nous a donné l'effervescence des années 80, un fan complet de Propaganda, je l'avoue !

  • i could watch that every minute of every day for the rest of my life.wonderful.

  • who is the singer on the left..she,s nice.

  • This is Susanne Freytag, one of the founding members of Propaganda.

  • Or as shes called now..Claudia Morley...wife of Paul. ZZT.

    never seen this before...excellent !

  • Claudia is now married to Paul Humphreys of OMD ;)
