  • I like the piece, I play it on the harp. But in my opinion, it doesn't sound great on the fiddle.

  • @radiomonkey005 I play the fiddle, and trust me this song sounds much better without the camera ruining the sound. Plus, it sounds different with the two parts of the melody. But I bet the song would sound amazing on harp. I wonder if I could find that on youtube...

  • Gee that sounds sooooo great as a twin fiddle piece -- Lovely. Very very nice! Thanks.

  • I looove this piece - always reminds me of Guiness Beer HA

  • i canplay this peice on cello

  • i take leassons from him i go to that studio to play Gordan

  • Hey do you guys have the music for this or can you let me know where to get it? Seems like a fun piece to play.

  • Yes, this is a fun piece and often played at our Irish sessions. It seems that YouTube will not let me place a URL here in the comments, very frustrating, but if you click on my home page link on my title page in YouTube and then on the link to Free Irish Scores from Breizh Partitions in the music section, you will find the sheet music in gif format there. Good luck.

  • Music and tablature for this song also be found at Jay Buckey's website... on his Free Tablature page. Great song.

  • Wow thanks for posting all that music on your site. I guess there is no part for the other violinist, was your teacher just making up some part up as he went along? (ie. just playing two notes down off the main melody?)

    Thanks

  • @lkdsjflskdfj There is a second part (not made up) but I don't know where you could find the sheet music.

  • In the harvest seasson it's called the harvest home and normal the cork hornpipe.

  • This is one of my favourites!

  • Nice job guys. I have the old Don Messer 78 of this tune. Harvest home Hornpipe and Gypsy hornpipe on the flip side.

  • i love to fiddle this tune well the one that the guy on the right is playing

  • Delightful!! I love this hornpipe. I have a vid of me playing it on the hammered dulcimer. Great job, guys. this is the first I've heard it with a harmony accompaniment.
