  • bitches

  • @burnit01 thanks miss america

  • wow great comeback dude

  • it's amazing how i haven't expresed any opinion whatsoever and yet i'm an idiot

  • than y did u reply to my first comment if u did not have any opinion?

  • cuz u sound like your at some beauty pageant and no one takes them seriously

  • So I should assume that you speak on behalf of every one in youtube community?...

  • i never said that, am i meant to believe that YOU speak for everyone in youtube

  • Aren't calving glaciers amazing? The sounds they make and everything. The best footage I've ever seen is in a DVD called "Alaska, The Tracy Arm Experience", which can be found on Film Baby. It's available for download. Check it out! It has VERY RARE calving events.

If you want to see calving glaciers, check out this. It has a lot!

  • Sorry, I accidentally marked your comment down instead of up.

  • my dad went to antarctica for about a month. he slept about 2 meters away from a leopard seal!

  • how lucky :)....i hate leopard seals...cuz they eat those little cute penguins :(

  • Sir David Attenborough is the luckiest man in the world.

He does act a wee bit though.

He also likes to show off as well. I think.

    Bless him.

  • Thats a pretty dumb comment- Someone who mumbled while looking at their feet and was obviously not interested in what they are talking about would make a pretty shite TV presenter.

Attenborough is probably the best natural sciences communicator we'll ever see. No other presenters come close.

  • how long ago did the last glacier in scotland disapear

  • scotland is awesome

  • Blimey! Since when was Arnold Schwarzenegger an authority on anything -let alone a complex scientific argument. There is no reason for us to take anything he says seriously. Has he acted on his own words, and if so, how?

  • According to info in Bill Bryson's book 'A Short History...' the general consensus of opinion is that we are still in an ice-age - the last big freeze has not ended, although it has ebbed and flowed during the last 10,000 years. In fact, it is unusual in the earth's history for there to be ice at the polar caps. That puts global warming into perspective, although it is not an excuse for the irresponsible poisoning of our planet, mainly driven by greed and an unhealthy urge to dominate.

  • Sir Attenborough forever the best))! Very valient scientist.

  • "We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late...

    The science is clear.

The global warming debate is over."

So "Hasta la vista" all you GW deniers throwing out all these girlie man quotes from the dead or the nearly dead. Just comic book fodder now

"And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!'" -Conan

  • The scientists who are warning us of the rapid warming are well aware of the mechanism that drive glaciers and that glacial ice falls into the sea. The point is there are less glaciers and warmer oceans than ever b4 in mans history. Does that not register the urgency of this current climate crisis on u? We are overdue 4 an ice age going on past geologic records. I don't hear any warning of THAT happening. Do u get it now? The GW scientists are aware of 'normal' events and take them into account.

  • ohhh your such a joker MagentaTrue (chuckles)

  • After the biggest melt in recorded history in the northern hemisphere, how are u going 2 feel when major marine species start 2 disappear? (bcos the Arctic water is too warm 4 krill 2 breed successfully, in numbers that can support human harvesting as well as supply the needs of the marine ecosystem). Please tell me why my point of view is incorrect. Will u still dismiss the current global situation as minor, when krill in the southern oceans also disappear in the next 12 months? exaggerate? NO!

  • slessorpr, do you believe in Darwin's survival of the fittest?

  • yope!

  • Is that a yes or a no?

  • 50-50! Hedging my bets...part yup and part nope - yope!

  • "50-50! Hedging my bets"

    lol!

The water just may be warmer due to the volcanic activity - which actually presents an opportunity for creatures that exist near deep ocean vents.

To be honest, we have a terrible record when it comes to trying to control these systems. Michael Crichton's website has a video on how the park rangers killed off fishers, beaver, wolves, cougars, and made a real mess of it. Peace:)

  • that was screwed...fuck

  • This happenes all the time and may not nesessarily have anything to do with global warming.

  • True

  • ARCTIC ICE RAPIDLY GROWING--NORTHWEST PASSAGE IS CLOSED*

*Al Gore is silent about this

  • Al Gore made a big deal out of the Northwest Passage opening a few months ago. But he was grossly negligent to not also state that it has been open several times in history--rather, he tried to make it appear some very unusual thing had happened.

So since he promoted a hysteria based idea I think it should be pointed out that, in reality, there is nothing to worry about. The Northwest Passage opening and closing is an event that falls within the boundries of normal occurances in the earth.

  • "They(tv reporters) ask me 'Did you see ice falling from the edge of glaciers?' 'Yes. That's the "spring break-up". That happens every year.' The press comes to us all the time, you know, 'I want to see something of the greenhouse disaster.' I say 'There is none(chuckles).' "
