@BlasterSuperMaster In this demo the data goes through a local wifi access point. But as you indicated you can connect to this device through the internet from outside or the Hydrogen WiFi Shield is even capable of creating its own access point. A demo of the Hydrogen WiFi Shield creating its own AP is located under "Hydrogen Wireless Arduino Access Point" . @johnm33ify it can do both. If you check the other video from diysb, the Hydrogen board generates its own WIFI and directly connect to the mobile device.
Sorry just a pet peeve but it's pronouced ar-dwee-no not ar-dree-no, this mistake seems to be getting popular so I figured I'd say something. Otherwise great vid, besides some blur, and wicked shield!

Is the data from arduino goes directly to phone via WiFi? Or thru internet(arduino - wifi - internet - iphone/pc)?
Thanks

@BlasterSuperMaster I'd love to know too, but I suspect it's the latter since he had to wait for a connection to be made to the "network".

Hmm interesting... thanks for the intro. What is the deep resonance sound in the background on your recording?

@sk8rj10 Thanks! You are absolutely right and I'll be more careful to pronounce it correctly in subsequent vids.
