Have to respectfully disagree with Dale - I find the "Classical" era concerti to be much more clichéd than the Romantic ones. Even Mozart couldn't seem to escape the tried and true formulae of his times. You always had that same old d***ed trill to end a cadence and you always know when the cadenza is coming because of that blasted 6-4 chord that preceedes it. Plus, I'd have rather worked in an abbatoir than've cowtowed to some brain-dead king or prince. Romanticism freed the musician!!!
