  • Have to respectfully disagree with Dale - I find the "Classical" era concerti to be much more clichéd than the Romantic ones. Even Mozart couldn't seem to escape the tried and true formulae of his times. You always had that same old d***ed trill to end a cadence and you always know when the cadenza is coming because of that blasted 6-4 chord that preceedes it. Plus, I'd have rather worked in an abbatoir than've cowtowed to some brain-dead king or prince. Romanticism freed the musician!!!

  • @Dogsledfan Your narrative reveals a person who knows less than nothing about music. And you should keep it that way because individuals such as yourself are impervious to learning.

  • most of the romantic piano concertos sound so cliche

  • Did this come from Hyperion's Romantic Piano Concerto series? I'm hoping to eventually have that entire collection.

  • No this is a Vox Records recording from the 1970's, all the info is under my picture on the right.

  • Funny drawing. Done by yourself?

  • It is! Not by me unfortunately, it was drawn by the English illustrator John Minnion.
