  • I have twice followed the suggestion re the music in this scene and the track you hear sampled is not the same can anyone confirm if it then goes on to be the sweet haunting tune you hear in the film?

  • This movie never got its due.

  • "Some of you were there, some of you weren't born...some of you are now DEAD!" XDDDDDDDDD

  • My quick searches only found information and not any download links. Therefore, I added all the details you should need to find the music or the artist himself. You might need to contact the record label if you're still having a hard time. I'd guess it would be on compilation albums.

  • @Nostalgianic The melody is from the song "'S Truagh Nach D' Rugadh Dall Mi" - which means "it's a shame I wasn't born blind". It's played here by the late Ron Gonnella as a waltz. Many Gàidhlig melodies are adapted as waltzes by Cèilidh bands in this way. You may find the tune being called "Filoro" or similar. This is because English speakers find it difficult to remember the Gàidhlig title. Hope this helps you find a version you like.

    Le deagh dhùrachd. Gòrdan.

  • Genuinely one of my favorite movies.

  • Whats the name of the Waltz at the end of this???

  • @Ricepatch1 Ron Gonnelia - "A Touch of Gaelic".

  • @Nostalgianic Any idea where it is available for download? I can't seem to find it, even on artist direct.

  • I'd like to a propose a toast to my wife Jennie, 15 years ago my wonderful wife said I do. Some of you were there, some of you weren't and some of you are now DEED. I love you Jennie, I'm so happy to be your husband. Besides it could have been a lot worse :) Wow, I don't know how you have stayed married to me.

  • SHUIT IT!!! hahaha!

  • glad i found this, best part in the movie

  • "happy, happy, happy, happy, ha-SHUT IT!" XD

  • Absolutely lovely, I adore this scene.

  • Thank you for posting this! My husband and I are celebrating our 10 anniversary today and this is one of our favorite movies.

  • I'm glad to hear it! Although, you can thank my sister for her request as well as both of our love for this movie.

My family quotes this movie all the time. I personally quote his father the most. I do a fun Scottish accent! =)

  • I found it at ArtistDirect's website. I found it by googling: Ron Gonnella - "A Touch of Gaelic".

I'm thinking that the Wiki I had found earlier either has it spelled incorrectly or Google does. Either way, that first link is the Artist Direct one.

    Enjoy!

  • Ron Gonnelia - "A Touch of Gaelic".

I'd just do a Google search. Most likely you'll find it for sale on a Celtic or Scottish compilation album.

  • anyone know where i can get the song, " a touch of gaelic', the one played on fiddle in this scene
