There's a Canadian CD called "Songs of Witchcraft and Magic" (label:wildgoose). I read about it in a Canadian Folk music bulletin - there's a song on there that shares the title.... maybe it's the same "bells of paradise" ? I haven't heard it myself, that's why I was looking for it on here. Your interpretation sounds wonderful however - thanks for uploading it :-)
Got to love those old English Christmas songs! Bring on those minor chords and feel the cold as the bells ring out the promise of Paradise. Put another Yule log on the fire, Dan, and enjoy the blessings of the season. ~ Mark
Ahhh, ya never know what treasures are waiting for us at the thrift stores! You can read music? I failed every music class when I was in school. Great job again, sir!
Absolutely!! I could spend half the day scouring around in the thrift stores looking for cool stuff!! I only read music enough to make out the melody. Thanks John!!
Dan the man !!!...always awesome man !!...very cool that you dont really know how the song goes...but can read the melody notes and make it yer own...true coolness !!!Cheers bro*****
Thanks Kathy!! My voice sounds a little to soft here I think. I been trying to sound more macho but I still sound like a little pussy sometimes.lol. Thanks Kathy!!
wow, thats true folk my friend, keeping the old songs alive, thats what its all about. Youre the real thing bruddah, I'm so very glad and proud to know you.
Thank you! Not sure why folks dont sing these old classics no more! Not sure if this one is even supposed to go like this.lol. but it was fun none the less! Thanks!!
From that opening strum to the closing, this haunting showcase was filled with the very essence of the raw, universal human experience...rendered from your determined and urgent vocals. You sure know how to paint a picture with your instrumentation and singing,Dan.
Thanks Max! You truly have the cyber stroke of a poet my friend! You must be a professional writer. Seriously your comments amaze me. Not just on my videos but others. Anyways thank you!!
