I love my blue gourami. But I am condemned to having just her and my plecostomus, until I get a new tank. She doesn't mind sharing the tank with him because he was there first. But I made the mistake of letting her run the show as the only top/mid feeder for almost a month now. The established territory is the whole tank. I would like to get other fish that are supposedly compatible with gouramis. But she hates everyone! Little brat...I love her though :)
It's me again!!!!! lol. I'm new to the whole "fish tank deal". So i was wondering if i could add a Gourami to my tank. ( 2 red eyed tetras, 2 Serpae tetras) do you think thats a good idea? its 10 gallons
No gouramis save dwarfs should go in a 10. You could try a pair of dwarf gouramis though! They would add wonderful pizzaz! You ought to read up on nano tanks. There are many ways to stock a 10 gallon and create a WOW! (rather than a ho hum!) Good luck!
Males have longer dorsal- and analfins. If the dorsalfin don't reaches the tailfin and have a round shape, it's a female. I keep those fish very long, I differentiate them at first sight.^^
dats da same color as the 1 i juss got last nite

Wow he looks nice and blue when he is near the bottom. At the pet shops they look kinda pale.

@TheFishDude2613 You tell by the pointed dorsal, Male: Pointed and enlongated dorsal and males are more common in stores
Female: Shorter rounded dorsal
