I didnt put Ichigo on the list because I dont think hes that strong. The only reason he beat Ulquiorra is because of his full hollow form. Thats not even him though because he cant control himself while in that form.

Why :D? Toshiro is probably the weakest captain in Soul Society (apart from Unohana of course). He uses Bankai whenever he fights. He's a bit like Sasuke from Naruto.

Maybe You're right, we still haven't seen how Unohana fights. But just as you wrote, Unohana isn't adapted to fight so she probably couldn't beat any capitan. However she couldn't be an easy opponent. She probably would run away or something, but she wouldn't die :D.

@OOOmarcinOOOO lol Unahana is the third strongest reaper in the 13 guards, second if you take aizen out of the mix. she's also one of the oldest, both shuinsui and uktake refer to her as senpei. if i had to guess i'd say she leans more to heavy bakudo use altho some hado is expected. but bakudo suits her far more:P it's also said he is actually a master swordsman particularly in kendo.

Actually, Zaraki's sword is always in Shikai, like Ichigo's, due to is vast and unstable reiatsu. So he doesn't need to know the release command or its name but makes it weaker.

He's just that powerful. Remember how ichigo's sword always stays in that big mode other than the zweihandler-esque form that it was when ichigo obtained rukia's powers. The power flows into the sword making it stay in shikai. Though in my opinion, Kenpachi has it in Bankai.

Well, he doesn't know it's name. You're right about that however Ichigo doesn't call out Zangetsu's name every time he draws it out. Me saying that he has it in Bankai is just me being a fanboy

when ichigo first learned shikai, he found out zangetsu's name, since zaraki doesnt know his zampakuto's name, then he's not in bankai or even shikai

Its the same for zaraki his zanpakuto is a constant release like ichigo's but he hasn;t discovered its name or how to use it. Check the official wiki if you dont believe me

@BlueThunder079 I'm afraid that Pav94an is is correct. Yoruchi specifically tells Ichigo that both his sword, and that of Zaraki, are constantly in their released forms. Because they both have such high reitsu, and so little control of it, it's impossible for them to seal their swords. Kenpachi doesn't know any of his sword's abilities (assuming it has any beyond insane attack power), but the fact that his sword is permanantly in its shikai state is canon.

@Shadowsleet It's true that due to the enormous reiatsu Kempachi has, he can't keep his sword sealed BUT that his sword is not sealed doesn't mean it's in shikai. For a Zampakuto to be in shikai, the owner NEEDS to know its name, which Kempachi doesn't.

Simple. No name, no Shikai. (I'm sorry what I said before about there was no release at all, his zampakuto it's not sealed, so it's released, but not in shikai)
