  • some crossover stuff between mario and sonic from nintendo and sega together

  • I Would So Write A Song To The Music Of Labyrinth Zone....Use To Sing To It All Da Time When I First Got My Genesis...LOL

  • Where did you find the file of the game ?

  • but no sound

  • nice

  • ...so when u first started u were already 100 times better than i am... now i feel like shit...

  • you need a better computer and emulator, that one runs like shit

  • how do you make levels on mario fusion?

  • Ahh, now this invokes feelings of nostalgia. Looks like an excellent start and I can't wait to see the finished product!

  • really? it's one of my favorites from the sonic series

  • the original mega drive/genesis level was my nemesis, when i was younger i'd either game over at this or star light. once i got to final boss but labyrinth and star light zapped away too many lives and continues and i messed up. i have since completed sonic 1 but, i like the level but hate that i still even now, can't do it as good as the other levels.

  • Not bad.

  • What is this level an allusion to? I'm thinking Doom, but that seems wrong.

  • Level is an allusion to the original Sonic the Hedgehog's Labyrinth Zone.

  • Danke

  • I did a spiffy remix of Game Gear's version of Labyrinth zone if your interested

  • I love the music, sure brings me back. Can't wait to see the final version.

  • Only fault here: Lack of water effect.

Otherwise the sprite handling is great! Both with the sprite rips and the usage! ( Though a few walls do look a BIT more tiled then I remember.. ) Regardless keep up the good work and heres hoping to a great water effect! =D

  • For your first time, impressive. Just need to tidy things up (which you are already doing now i assume)

  • Just wondering but will Scrap Brain be in Fusions? I love the music in that zone :D.

  • Very nice.

  • For your first stage, that looks brillaint.

  • I think you did a fantastic job man

  • Video was laggy and you need a better job polishing these videos, but from this little sample that was pretty good stuff.

Seemed a little easy and there are some flaws, but I bet you're working on them.

  • Is this a prototype of the level you made?

Cause if it is there should be more Dr Robtniks robot animals than Mario's enemies.

  • What I would really like to see is more Sonic enemies. I've been seeing Mario combat the same enemies for years. More stuff like that robotic piranha is what I hope to fight! I don't know if that was already your plan or if you couldn't do it do to your inexperience, but please try your best to add them!

  • I hated this stage on Sonic...

    But it looks great!

  • what other levels you have in idea to develope for the sonic world

  • Just suggesting, not criticizing, I think you could not make the entire level a water level because then it would make it a bit boring. It is true that water levels are the hardest to make. But if you are going to make a water level, please add the frog suit and put some challenging things like giant spikes from the ceiling going down and more enemies so it could be good. Remember just suggesting. Also, could it be possible to add a secret exit here, it might be hard to find but fun.

  • Would it be possible to tint under water areas? It looks like mario is flying :P

    Great job by the way!

    -cp

  • you need to get a better pc

  • Not everyone has a high-powered PC.

  • thank you

  • This level will be much easier as the Italian Plumber; won't have to stop for air bubbles.

  • And he can SWIM.

  • It's a very nice level, but the framerate seems a little slow. I think this could maybe have something to do with it being in windowed mode. It would probably look a lot more professional in fullscreen too, just a tip.

  • 1. Even though I have an XP system, it has some issues. I do plan on getting a new computer in the summer.

    2. When I started off with this level, I forgot about the room's speed. The default is "30", when it's supposed to be "60".

  • Were you making this level from a new room? I forgot to tell you that you can use the Level Template as a base for all levels. Just duplicate the Level_Template and modify the duplicate to your needs. All required objects are in the Template and set up.

And to kaibachaoschampion, you can set it into fullscreen by pressing F4. It's usually bad practice to force maximize a game on bootup when it can run in windowed mode.

  • Actually, it's just that if you look at your videos of the game they look more professional because you cannot see that it's in windowed mode. When in reality you are probably just as good as each other when creating the game. Just to clarify I meant the video being filmed in windowed mode.

  • Ah. My fault for misunderstanding.

  • No problem :)

  • Hopefully you're not using it now, but look for Windows Media Encoder on google, it's a great free screen recorder that I use on my videos. There's a tutorial on how to set it up here on youtube. The framerate will also take somewhat less of a hit and you'll be able to record sound, too. Hopefully that'll help. Looking forward to seeing your work on this game, dude!

  • awesome job, you should try to code in some Burrowbots or Grounders in this stage

  • Being a long time Sonic fan, I'd say you are doing the game justice, considering you are still in the early stages and are new to all this. One minor thing though: when you have a comment or something, I think it'd be better if you had the text smaller and to either the bottom or top, just like JudgeSpear does it. That way, people watching the video aren't temporarily "blinded." Keep up the good work.

  • Glad to see your going on Sonic world. Can't wait to see how Green Hill Zone turn out with Mario and Sonic gameplay.

  • Looks like a great start. I'm sure the finished product will be really fun to play. I like the physics and the difficulty in descending in water, avoiding fish as you go. Puts the Mario swimming skills of players to maximum use.

  • The ball-and-chain obstacle will be easy to make. I can just take the firebar object and modify it into the ball-and-chain obstacle.

  • Well, the Pirahna Bots are simply using the Cheep Cheeps coding, so I will do that.

And I do plan on making this level a true test for swimming. In most Mario fangames, there isn't much of a challenge in the aquatic levels (heck, even Brutal Mario failed miserably, even for 3-2 "Jellyfish Mania".)

I got another Sonic level up, and it's the Skydeck!

  • Very nice....... i guess then u are the one who is helping JS with the sonic levels and has the sonic map picked out?

then may i make a suggestion for sonic 2 sky chase level? either as the BGM of a SHUMPS level or a actual level (with twists of course)if not i don't mind but i thought i shouls just suggest it

    well nice job anyway!
