I love everything about her. How natural she is and everything. Her music is so great. I love how she represents Africa and other black people. I am not African in any sense, but my mother is from the Caribbean.Even though I have only been there once, I wish to return so I can learn more about my other half. But I love what she does. It makes you feel proud to be a descendant of such a wonderful place.
You are quite right, Sister Nneka! Some day, Africa will catch up with Halliburton and Kellogg Brown of the USA, Technip of France, Snamprogetti of Italy, BP of the United Kingdom, and JGC Corporate of Japan, to mention a few, who have been exploiting and cutting deals with corrupt African leaders, and making the beautiful continent a hell on earth for innocent children, women, and men. What goes around will come around someday - and the hunted will catch up with the hunter!
@HottieTudegal, Asha is Nigerian too but from a different ethnic group than Nneka. And yea, I have noticed some significant similarities between Jamaicans and Nigerians. I be Naija girl!!
@Yokiemetals ,contrary to what some people believe a lot Jamaicans descended from the Akan peoples of Ghana (Ashanti,Fante ), some came from Nigeria from the Yoruba, Igbo & other groups from W African countries. When explorers came to Jamaica during slavery they found a lot of Coromantee slaves that came from the Gold Coast .Coromantees were seen as rebellious & fierce. Nigerian slaves were shipped all over the W.I so there are many Lucians,Trinis,Bajans etc who descended from Nigeria
Jep da geb ich dir recht und sie hat gesagt " normaly a hunter is running after an animal but one the day the animal will catch the hunter... and I wait for this day." Sie sagt es auf patois nur so am rande und auf deutsch bedeutet es "normalerweise jagt ein jäger ein Tier, doch eines Tages wird das Tier den Jäger jagen und ich werde auf diesen Tag warten..."
@Doughyeen Exactly! its the same sentiment that asa [asha] has in her song jailer! I'm Jamaican and its crazy how simillar Jamaicans and Nigerians are the way we speak and body language and even some words like 'bush meat' <----- so Naija/Jamaican
She is beautiful.

I like the way she pronounced catch as "catsh" in the true Naija wafi style. She is truly Nigerian, keepin it real.

The day is coming when the hunter will also be snared in his own trap. We can run from others, but we can not run from ourselves.
