Generac QT-100: The engine is a V10, of 6.8 liters and the generator is gear driven. When under load the engine runs at about 2,300 RPM and delivers more power than if it was direct drive and 1,800 RPM. This same engine can run a 150KW generator screaming away at 3,600 RPM. Check specs on a QT-150. There is a QT-130 video and that one has the engine running at 3,000 for under load and slower for exercise runs. I bet this one runs slower when it is in the exercise mode.
this one has that option , but because it is in industrial application , i didnt see the need. not much of a generac fan. i will work on them and scrap them but wont buy or recommend one. i used to do warranty work on generacs, been to their training and just dont care too much for them. there is a reason they are so much less money than say a kohler or onan. you know a lot about generators, i assume you are or were in the generator business?

yes it is. i installed it about a year ago , and aside from some controller problems , it seems like a good machine.
