You know, maybe it's a good thing that Heath died. Can you imagine all the exploitation the companies would do to Heath's Joker? It'd completely lessen the impact of his performance.
In the real world the Joker is right. we all deserve the worse things to happen to us because we are the most pathetic, egoistic, hideous, treacherous good-for-nothing life form this planet has ever seen. just look all we did to it the past 5000 years we are in it.
I really love The Dark Knight movie and batman as a character too,but really I think batman's voice is a LITTLE bit overacted...So still the BEST Batman so far is from the Batman Arkham games..IMO!
” Do you know how I got these scars ? ” this is just what an emo kid would ask. Not impressed. And if this Joker is so damn smart, how come he never makes fun of Batman's STUPID voice ? Oh look at me..I'm like..wearing make up, hanging upside down and talking...all at the same time ! ......how cool is that ?
@Fantezism Cooler than your life. You don't have the capacity to act like this and I don't think you have half the intelligence of the Joker or the director of this movie.
@Fantezism Yet he still managed to become a famous actor who won an oscar. Talking about his life, not his death. If you don't like it go watch something else. You still avoided the whole directing and intelligence part, so I guess you must agree with me.
@timoteoman13: But he's dead, and in my book knowing how to live is more important than knowing how to act. Being alive and well is more valuable than any prize in the world. I'm free to opine whenever and wherever I want, just as you and the rest of Ledger's fanboys are. And I avoided the intelligence and directing part because it's pretty useless to talk about things of this sort with a Ledger fanboy who defends his idol like those Nirvana kids defend Curt Cobain.
@timoteoman13: And he was awarded the oscar poshumously. That's because he went the way of Kurt Cobain; his fanboys turned him into an object of cultic worship on the strenght of is slightly above average acting talent. To quote Athony Jesselnik, Ledger's been given more undeserved credit than a native American applying for college.
@Fantezism Great now ur bring race into this. Do you think the Native Americans had the right to live on their land, if you are talking about valuable living? Ledger deserved the oscar, he prepared vigorously for the role. The point is he made something of his self but he also made mistakes. I appreciate Heath Ledger's acting but I know there are actors out there who are better. I'm also free to do so however why come to this seen just to bash it? There is definitely much worse acting out there.
@timoteoman13: It was just a joke. Get over it ! As for Ledger, he didn't deserve to get an oscar, but as with the Nobel prize, the oscars has seriously devalued, almost anyone can get one these days so yeah...why shouldn't Ledger get one, even posthumously ? Why am I here commenting ? Because I feel like it. You got a problem with that ?
@Fantezism Ledger did deserve to win an oscar because although you may not think his performance deserved to win he was way better than anyone else who was nominated
@99ThEGR8One: How about giving the Oscar to the actor who played as Two Face ? But since Ledger went the way of Kurt Cobain and his fanboys mystify him as if he were the only person in this world who could act, he has become an object of cultic worship. Most of them aren't even Batman fans, they're praising TDK just for Ledger's sake. I wonder, do they even like other actors and movies that don't feature playboys, punks, would-be philosophers and people who died from drug abuse ?
@Fantezism The reason Ledger won wasnt cuz Hollywood felt bad for him it was because he captivated everyone with his acting. Aaron Eckhart also did a great job but he wasnt very memorable. You are allowed to have an opinion but dont act like his performance wasnt anything less than amazing, all you are doing is going against what everyone else thinks to feel mort intelligent
@99ThEGR8One: So it's just a coincidence that he was awarded the Oscar posthumously, right ? I guess Ledger was the only one in TDK who could act. Nevermind Eckhart ! He didn't deserve to get an oscar. Let Ledger have it all ! Nevermind that his acting was just slightly above average.
@Fantezism Actually it is a coincidence because they awarded him at the next Oscars, it isn't like they changed their mind once he died. Also no one has ever said that Ledger was he only good actor, I believe all of them did a great job. Finally, "Let Ledger have it all" you cant share an oscar for acting...
If you observe Batman is constantly running or fighting so when he is talking in that grave voice , it goes wayward a bit because he is panting at the same time when he is delivering a dialogue. Thats Damn good acting and people criticising his voice dont know how realistic Batman is made to appear here
Sorry if this offends anyone, but I think it'd be cool if Ledger's death was a cover-up, and in The Dark Knight Rises, Joker comes and says, "You thought I was dead???!!! *crazylaugh*"
heath didn't die from overdose, he died from all of that fucking blood going to his head from hanging upside down...now that's fucking dedication! HEATH LEGEND!
@Robotheadproductions Joker: MAYBE WE COULD SHARE ONE!... You know it will only doubling up the rate of our jelly sandwich, that gotham is losing their taste bud minds... >8)
JOKER: Oh, you. You just couldn't let me go, could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You truly are incorruptible, aren't you? You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness. And I won't kill you because you're just too much fun. I think you and I are destined to do this forever.
The only thing that I didn't like in this masterpiece of a film is that Batman didn't let the Joker finish his third origin story. Is it too much to ask for him to wait several seconds before throwing the Joker out of the window?
sorry Jo, not forever, you died before you could finish your true glory in Rises. Just a cameo would have been perfect.. but they would screw it up if they let another guy "fake" you on screen... but dont worry, remember BANE!!!!, that masked green grunning, screaming guy from Batman and Robin? well..he will not be in it. This time we have Bane he's here to fill you shoes and altough it will not be as epic the way you did i am sure you could go rest in peace and know Gotham will be ashes soon.
It would only make sense why Dark Knight rises takes place 8 years after DK, It just sucks that during that time frame, Joker is either In a padded cell for the duration, or alike Heath Ledger, Joker died... Such a shame
Whose to say thats not how he talks. Theres a couple of things to note here. Batman just took on a SWAT team, 3 dogs, was hit by a crow bar a few times, and was being choked by the rail thing......He's tired, worn out and its reasonable that he wouldn't have a convenient calm voice. Overdone is the point. I love the animated series but its totalbullshit people don't know thats Wayne. B-Man here is a beginner, and its realistic that he doesn't have a conveninent 2nd voice.
@yamisupersaiyan what are you talking about? I'm not saying batman isn't badass, I'm saying the movie killed it with that retarded voice he makes. it's still a great movie. and "whose to say thats not how he talks" hes never talked like that in any of his cartoons or past movies. plus just look at it....it sounds dumb.
Did you not read my comment? He's talking like this in this scene because he was tired from doing all that. In the rest of this film, the voice sounds pretty ok. So? What makes all those other films and cartoons the definitive Batman. Either way its complete bullshit in those other films. Men aren't born with a convenient second voice. Nolans being realistic. Bales a beginner Batman, and as such he does whatever he can to alter his voice
*sigh*, listen he has his Bruce Wayne voice, and obviously needs an alternate voice as Batman. He doesn't sound this exaggerated the whole movie. Yeah his voice is still rough, but its more clear and calm.
@yamisupersaiyan OK well I've seen the movie and his voice is gay the whole time. Batman never has a "second voice" in any animated movies or past movies why does he need one now?
His voice is awesome. He does have a second voice in the animated series and past movies. Its just very subtle and not too different, which is complete bullshit in terms of realistic-ness. You tell me why a man trying not to reveal himself wants to change his voice.
I just love this scene because I must be the first time in the movie that the joker seems disappointed, when he sees that the boats didn't blow up. Hopefully he quickly moves on ;)
@SinisterSnake95 emmm you see, in the scene he ask batman 'btw, you know why I have this scares?' and batman reply 'no, but I know how u got this' and he shot the knifes in his arm, I don't know how to call those things but... anyway, I don't see where he shot the knifes in joker's body u understand xd? srry for my english is not my first language .-.
@SinisterSnake95 that things in his arm are batarangs o.o??? wow I need to learn more about batman :D and I thought the batarangs were designed to cut, but now I think they are designed to just hit people xD
@Sunburn190 The reason he was laughing on the way down was that he thought he won. He thought he corrupted Batman, the incorruptible superhero. Batman saving him changed that. He thought ahead, though, 'cos he got to Dent first.
@Sunburn190 The Joker wanted Batman to break his own rules (i.e. actually kill him). His intentions throughout the whole movie were to prove that human nature was inherently evil and how pretty much everyone can be pushed over the edge given the right stimuli. Thankfully, he was proven wrong.
@Sunburn190 yea he wasnt really dissappointed just happy he had found someone that was incorruptable, anyone else would have let him fall to his death but batman chose to save him since he didnt want to break his rule, he was actually suprised and dare i say happy since he found someone who "completed" him and the batman is too much fun for him
@Sunburn190 Thats the Joker's main goal! You see, the Joker is obsessed with the goal of trying to get Batman (the man devoted to doing good) to break his one rule, which is to not kill. He wants to ''corrupt'' the uncorrupted Dark Knight. When the Joker is free-falling in this scene, he's laughing because he thinks he finally pushed Batman to commit murder.
@xginjayx If he was still alive they'd probably keep him as a main villain of some kind. Honestly I'd bet they would of made this longer than three movies out of the Joker. Yet for what they have in Rises. I could see him really being the Batman villain over the last eight years. So he's the fear Gotham has towards villains.
@xginjayx i honeslty have thought of that too dude, but since joker is batmans ultimate and archenemy, i think he would of have to return in the dark knight rises and escape arkham or sumthin, or bane breaks him out of it, and if not that at all, then at the end of the movie to show sumthin that forshadows the joker escaping & finally returning in Batman 4 IF Nolan would of wanted to make another 1.
In my opinion both the Dark Knight and Batman 89 were both terrific movies, But I must say that Heath Ledger did a much better version of Joker than Nicholson. Dont get me wrong, Nicholson did great.
But for the record, Ledgers laugh while he was falling was epic, Nicholson screaming while falling lame.
So how come the Joker never ever has to use a plan B or gets forced to improvise? Everything just works out exactly the way he plans it. I mean even if he himself would be some kind of supergenius there´s always stuff you can´t predict. You know, for instance t he could get spotted as he was setting things up by a bypasser, the broadcasting of his threat could have been interupted by a powershortage, he could have recived false information regarding the ferries, stuff like that.
This really speaks well about the Joker's . His entire goal in this movie was to corrupt Gotham City by corrupting its symbols of hope (Batman and Dent). He fell down laughing because he thought he finally did it; the only way Batman could ever be corrupted is if he killed anyone. The Joker thought he won, but he didn't. Really well acted scene.
AHHHH damn it, imagine the 3rd movie as Nolan said it was going to be, with the Joker as the villain. Rises will be tits, but I just can't shake what those two would have gotten themselves into. "You know how I got these Oscars..? See.. my father.. was a drunk.."
The Joker Laughed because he knew Batman have thorugh or killed, and that is only the Joker wanted... for proved then Batman was a freak killer just like him
@horsey05 Not a Joker like Heath Ledger created though. I would guess that probably 20 years from now we will see a new great actor try and act that roll again. Heath Ledger's Joker was fucking brilliant, in such a way that it wasn't like he was just playing as Joker in some film, but he WAS the Joker, it felt real.
Two Face would have still been in the film. Starting a mob war in Gotham. Nolan also wanted to focus on Arkham Asylum with the Joker escaping from it and spreading chaos in Gotham again. Would have been nice to see Nolans vision of Arkham.
When Heath fell off the building laughing, my heart froze with FEAR!!!! He's such an amazing actor who lived a short life :(
R.I.P Heath Ledger!!! Your Joker is the best by far; the most haunting, spine- chilling, heart-stopping, emotional Joker ever!!!! After leaving the theater on the night it opened, I couldn't get over 3 things...
3. ) The Sound Mixing/Editing (lol, I'm a movie nerd like that)
@trolltally see, nobody comments on this. Everyone is here for the Joker's performance, not Batman's. Not the movie as a whole, just what Ledger put into it. And there are some very low opinions of Nicholson, Keaton, and Burton on this video - to be expected. Someone has to stand on the opposite side.
@MrIsmailmahmood Bane is very very smart. He is not like they portrayed him in the other movie, he was strong and cunning even broke Batman's back and put him out of commission for a time in the comics.
You know, maybe it's a good thing that Heath died. Can you imagine all the exploitation the companies would do to Heath's Joker? It'd completely lessen the impact of his performance.

TheResilient5689 1 month ago

There is something unclear what happened to Joker after the SWAT took him there is no explanation i mean is he sitting in Arkham forever?

Joker's last appearance.....
MultiHollywoodYoutub 2 months ago
i wonder if heath (R.I.P) was still alive he'd make a cameo appearance in the dark knight rises, just like scarecrow in the dark knight
xginjayx 2 months ago 25
@xginjayx If he was still alive they'd probably keep him as a main villain of some kind. Honestly I'd bet they would of made this longer than three movies out of the Joker. Yet for what they have in Rises. I could see him really being the Batman villain over the last eight years. So he's the fear Gotham has towards villains.
Charlesperalo 2 months ago
@xginjayx most certainly
FrakkinMovies 1 month ago
@xginjayx If he was still alive he probably would have returned as the new villain.
sushiking1223 1 month ago
@xginjayx That would be the best thing to ever happen. R.I.P. Heath Ledger.
Roma9532 1 month ago
@xginjayx i honeslty have thought of that too dude, but since joker is batmans ultimate and archenemy, i think he would of have to return in the dark knight rises and escape arkham or sumthin, or bane breaks him out of it, and if not that at all, then at the end of the movie to show sumthin that forshadows the joker escaping & finally returning in Batman 4 IF Nolan would of wanted to make another 1.
13LuciusArchangel 4 weeks ago
@xginjayx He by popular demand probably would of been a key character.
Charlesperalo 4 weeks ago
@xginjayx He would, it was planned that his trial would be seen in The Dark Knight Rises.
MrOutkastBoy 3 weeks ago
@xginjayx I really think The Joker was supposed to be main villain starting with The Dark Knight. but alas the universe had different plans...

Dat preptime.
So how come the Joker never ever has to use a plan B or gets forced to improvise? Everything just works out exactly the way he plans it. I mean even if he himself would be some kind of supergenius there´s always stuff you can´t predict. You know, for instance t he could get spotted as he was setting things up by a bypasser, the broadcasting of his threat could have been interupted by a powershortage, he could have recived false information regarding the ferries, stuff like that.
aguyyaknow 2 months ago
This really speaks well about the Joker's . His entire goal in this movie was to corrupt Gotham City by corrupting its symbols of hope (Batman and Dent). He fell down laughing because he thought he finally did it; the only way Batman could ever be corrupted is if he killed anyone. The Joker thought he won, but he didn't. Really well acted scene.
vamsi93 2 months ago 8
AHHHH damn it, imagine the 3rd movie as Nolan said it was going to be, with the Joker as the villain. Rises will be tits, but I just can't shake what those two would have gotten themselves into. "You know how I got these Oscars..? See.. my father.. was a drunk.."

horsey05 1 month ago
@horsey05 Not a Joker like Heath Ledger created though. I would guess that probably 20 years from now we will see a new great actor try and act that roll again. Heath Ledger's Joker was fucking brilliant, in such a way that it wasn't like he was just playing as Joker in some film, but he WAS the Joker, it felt real.

does any one knows what would have been the script of dark knight rises if heath was still alive?
ridemegirlrideme 3 months ago
@ridemegirlrideme

3. ) The Sound Mixing/Editing (lol, I'm a movie nerd like that)
2. ) The Plot (So creative and entertaining)
1.) Heath Ledger as the Joker

the fuck is with the batman voice?
trolltally 3 months ago
@trolltally see, nobody comments on this. Everyone is here for the Joker's performance, not Batman's. Not the movie as a whole, just what Ledger put into it. And there are some very low opinions of Nicholson, Keaton, and Burton on this video - to be expected. Someone has to stand on the opposite side.
Momentum139 3 months ago
@Momentum139 Speak for yourself. I saw Dark Knight for Bale, Oldman, Ledger and Eckhart. None of them let me down. They were all terrific.
Burton's movies on the other hand were massive disappointments.
