Hello and thank you for your time and energy in producing this tutorial. I've been interested in Adobe Audition since the 2.0 version but not able to purchase it. Would you please explain the difference between the 3.0 and the cs5.5 version? Also can you recommend a video cam for online video making? What kind are you using? @ahmirmedia Well I'll explain it again, this was the first tutorial I did years ago, and was the first time I've ever used a screen capture program that ran the mic hot. Nothing to do with AA. And as far as "tutoring" I just offer free help when someone has a question. I'm no expert by any means...just trying to help. Glad you see the humor in that.
Please upload at a higher resolution. It great you made a tutorial but the screen info is illegible and makes watching the tut very difficult and frustrating.
How do you EQ a humming noise out of the audio? It seems to be a constant frequency, and the noise filter makes the original audio sound like a digital burp, so I assume a Parametric Equalizer or Notch Filter would be the best options. What settings? How would you do it?
im having problems with recording. when i go to record, it says there is no track armed, so i go try to arm the track and i cant even click on it. well, i can, but nothing happens when i do. any help?
@EVHisGODD93 Make sure you have the proper input selected for that track. If the input is set to "None" you won't be able to arm the track for recording.

when using this program for QUALITY recordings.. 1-do i need to use a usb interface? and 2-do i need a better soundcard than what i already have on my laptop. i have a Toshiba windows 7 home premium OA. THANKS!
Just started using Adobe Audition 3, I have an alesis Firewire 16 track digital mixer, for some reason Adobe only sees 6 tracks by default. I set the Alesis as my input hardware, still only 6 tracks ?..., I would like to be able to record all 16 at once for a live session, any help is appreciated.....thanks
@youngkillz100, to record in sterio, you use two channels (left and right), if your only recording with on regular mic and not a stereo mic (which would have 2 outputs) then you will get mono.
Anytime i try to drag a beat into audition so i can record over it the beat wont show up in multi track or edit view :(
when i drag it in it asks me to interpret sample format as, and i click ok. after i click ok it shows up on the left in the file thing but i have no way of actually putting it on a layer. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!
@jimboaus1 I'm literally a super noob with this program so far (I've only played with it for about an hour), but if you go to effects<time & pitch, there will be a little box which you check. If left unchecked, it won't adjust the tempo and pitch for you.

Hi I need help. I am experiencing problems after i've exported a file with adobe audition. Everything goes well while I am working with adobe audition but when I export it with ".mp3" format or ".wma" format (I haven't tried other formats) and play it using Windows Media Player, the effects i added are not working. I have added "Center Channel Extractor" to cut out the vocals but i can still hear the vocals after i've export it. Thanks! :)

@ ChefRski I have a question that I have not been able to find a solution to on Adobe Audition 3.0, when you go to Edit/Audio hardware and try to set it to ASIO and apply and save, all is fine, but when I close out the program and re open it it goes back to the windows default and does not default to the ASIO that I applied and saved, is there a way to make it default and stay to ASIO, thanks for your time

Alright so, I can record fine using my ASIO driver. And I have my output driver set as Realtech or whatever it may be, but when I try to listen to what i've recorded it fails to work... I have to change all my settings to be able to hear it, then when I can, the recording doesnt work. @MrLIMEG Look at your preferences and make sure you have the right input/output for your speakers. is the .wav file moving from left to right, your just not getting sound coming out?

@noubs13 if you were to find an instrumental version of the same song, of the exact same recordings of the instruments, sync up the tune, reverse the polarity on the instrumental, and the waveform will cancel out the instrument, leaving the vocals.

Go to file export, choose your format like mp3 or wav and click ok. Once it is done exporting your song is exported and saved to whereever you chose to send it. You can also save session if you want to change your song later.

Hi I need help. I am experiencing problems after i've exported a file with adobe audition. Everything goes well while I am working with adobe audition but when I export it with ".mp3" format or ".wma" format (I haven't tried other formats) and play it using Windows Media Player, the effects i added are not working. I have added "Center Channel Extractor" to cut out the vocals but i can still hear the vocals after i've export it. Thanks! :)

@ ChefRski I have a question that I have not been able to find a solution to on Adobe Audition 3.0, when you go to Edit/Audio hardware and try to set it to ASIO and apply and save, all is fine, but when I close out the program and re open it it goes back to the windows default and does not default to the ASIO that I applied and saved, is there a way to make it default and stay to ASIO, thanks for your time

Hey, I am having some problems with Adobe Audition and I was wondering if you knew what was causing them.
Alright so, I can record fine using my ASIO driver. And I have my output driver set as Realtech or whatever it may be, but when I try to listen to what i've recorded it fails to work... I have to change all my settings to be able to hear it, then when I can, the recording doesnt work. Which is not good, because I want to be able to listen to something then record over it. ty fr th hlp

@MrLIMEG Look at your preferences and make sure you have the right input/output for your speakers. is the .wav file moving from left to right, your just not getting sound coming out?

@noubs13 if you were to find an instrumental version of the same song, of the exact same recordings of the instruments, sync up the tune, reverse the polarity on the instrumental, and the waveform will cancel out the instrument, leaving the vocals.

Go to file export, choose your format like mp3 or wav and click ok. Once it is done exporting your song is exported and saved to whereever you chose to send it. You can also save session if you want to change your song later.
